A title is is given to catch your eye, I'm trying to think of something that somes up this album. Lamb Of God by far has to be one of the most talented, hard working group of five men in the music stream I've known. Each band member is way above amazing (...) with their instruments. They don't just take it to the next level but they take it up 10 or 20 levels. Check out the Making of this album Sacrament. I wish I could play the drums like Chris Adler!!.

I feel that these songs can be extremely tired, and I feel like they are being dragged down by the heavy metalcore formula, don't get me wrong there are amazing tracks on this album but they are losing there ability to create effective, explosive music like they did so well in previous albums.

i bought this album at a store when it first came out and it just blew everything away, absoulutley set the standard for every metal band, i honestly cannot compare them to another band cause they sound so original and their probably the only band of this genre that doent have some emo fudge packer in there, their all big ugly metalheads- which is a good thing

How can this be considered satanic? If you think this is satanic, you must never have heard Behemoth, Belphegor, or even Slayer. Hell, Belphegor has a song called, "Fukk the Blood of Christ." The people who call this satanic must have never even heard of Black Metal. That stuff is satanic, this is not!!! Great album by the way.

Put short, this is by far the greatest album out for sale right now. In the past, it was Lamb of God's Ashes of the Wake. Ashes of the Wake set a very high bar for all other metal bands, but some how, they seemed to set the bar even higher!!! Lamb of God is where they are by improving on their previous albums. They find new ways to bring out their talent. Randy brings his best unforgiving to the mike, Mark and Willy have shown us more than what they are capable of, and Chris has just done an excellent job on the relentless drums on this one. Lamb of God has done great on all of their albums and they have put all of their talent in one CD. And that CD is called Sacrament. BUY IT NOW!!! I promise they will not let you down.

Lamb of God is no doubt one of the greatest metal bands of all time and they proove it once agian with sacrament. Every single song from "Redneck" to "Beating on Death's Door" is proof that LoG can blow anybody else outta the water! HAIL TRUE AMERICAN METALL!!!

This band isn't "satanic" or "anti-religous." Most of their lyrics have to do with politics, not religion at all. Just because their band name is Lamb Of God doesnt mean their satanic. I even heard Randy, the lead singer say that their music is not meant to be anti-religious, or religious at all!!

This definately is not their best album, Ashes Of The Wake is without a doubt but still a solid album. Oh and to all the religious f*ckers, 1) if you don't like this don't listen to it. 2) if you can't understand what they're saying and theyre screaming how do you know it's sataniclly themed? 3) and since you're all flipping out about Walk With Me In Hell and saying it's a horrible song and evil, it isn't, it's about drug addiction and fighting through it. And if you think getting over an addiction is bad well then... I don't even know what to say to you. VIVA LA LAMB OF GOD!!!

I absolutely love this album. Better than Ashes or Palaces, in my opinion. There is more melody coming from this album than the others which I really love. Walk With Me in Hell is a well produced and well written song along with the rest (but that one really stood out to me). This band has fantastic lyrics that go much depper and beyond the average "DEATH DEATH KILL KILL." which is a really nice change. It's almost poetic. I highly suggest this album to anyone who has a good taste for metal.

All u people that are saying that people who listen to this worship the devil just shut up and find something better to do besides comment on this. I am a christian and i even like some of there songs. Im christian and i listen to stuff like slayer, slipknot, pantera, and system of a down. This is one of my favorite albums by them. The songs that I like are Redneck and Walk with me in Hell. If you like lamb of god, get this album.

You have to be complete white trash to listen to this. This is awful.

Pretty overrated band as a whole. Still decent but fairly generic, at least it's not slayer. One more thing, there is a point when a band becomes a bunch of old wierdos that need to retire.

For the people who say their guitar writing is simple or that they worship the devil, they must of not actually LISTENED to the music because all the members of lamb of god are highly talented and this album is great, the lyrics are very carefully written and all have a meaning if you listen closely.

What does everyone find so special about them? Ive tried multiple times to get into liking them, but it's just not possible. The vocals are , And the guitar is just wayy too simple and boring  Listen to something that's actually good, like Arsis or Sylosis.

for a second i was worried, seeing all the 1 star votes for this album, but then i saw that the people criticizing it were telling people to listen to "real" metal like Dragonforce, A7X, and Slayer's "amazing new album" and calling this band/album satanic. There are so many outrageous statements in those poor reviews that ive determined they were all joking. Just in case u don't get the jokes: Dragonforce gargles sweaty balls and should never be compared to any metal band outside of the cheesy power metal catagory, A7X is an over rated hard rock band that somehow continues to pass itself off to the masses as "good metal". Slayer hasnt put out a good new album since what South of Heaven in 1988 or seasons of the abyss maybe? And, last but not least, Lamb of God is not a satanic band in any sense of the word. Its called social criticism/commentary. Millions of people around the globe speak out about the injustices and bigoted beliefs of organized religion. Freedom of speech works in both ways, as many people seem to conveniently forgot when someone speaks out against their views. If you listen to metal and like Lamb of God (i know it sounds redundant) then you should do yourself a favor and check out bands like Gojira, Mastodon, Between the Buried and Me, Black Dahlia Murder, Amon Amarth, opeth...i could go on. oh one more thing...how is sounding like a tribute to Pantera a bad thing? Have you heard Domination/Revolution is my name/Cowboys from hell/any of their songs?

If your an old school LoG fan like myself, save your money for As The Palaces Burn, or Ashes of the Wake. This album sounds like a recycled version of Ashes. Don't think they spent much time throwing these riffs togethr to make "songs". I can't beleive there are so many positive reviews. I have never met any old school LoG fans that like this album at all. I guess they are picking up alot of new fans, which is good for them and the genre. I'm looking forward to better days, they can only go up from here!

Listen. This band isn't satanic, at all. Mark Morton is a Christian. Heard somewhere that Randy is too. Walk with me in Hell is a song about falling to drugs, not Satan. I'm a Christian. I'm a firm believer in Jesus and God. But yes I do listen to Death Metal. LoG is my favorite band of all time. So get over saying they are satanic. Even CC isn't satanic. CCs lead singer is a church going Christian. But about the album. By far my favorite by them. Again we Rise is annoying though. But other then that nothing wrong with it at all. (If iTunes had Burn the Preist on here then this would be my second favorite. Because that was their best album)

This is easily one of the best metal bands i have ever heard. Blacken the Cursed Sun and Walk with me in Hell are amazing.

Now that 2009 is over, I can finally say that this is THE defining American metal album of the decade. Some others would argue that 'Ashes of the Wake' was a better album but I perfer this one for two reasons. One, it was a very diverse album that wasn't afraid to experiment, and two, it had an overall feel to it that no other Lamb of God album had. It was faster, had more solos, and had the most 'larynx shredding vocals' (to quote the itunes review) of any album I've ever heard. Lamb of God added several things that metal bands in the past have yet to perfect. Chris Adler has perfected his own style of drumming by this point. He does not resort to double bass drumming constantly like most of the other drummers in the genre. He gives the band a speed metal or death metal feel with faster drums than ever and blastbeats galor. Willie Adler, Mark Morton, and John Cambell on rythm, lead, and bass guitar also shine through giving the genre a breath a fresh air with some very unique riffs that never seem to want to let go. The leads and rythms are layers together quite nicely. Just when you think one riff is over another one takes its place in a very fluid way. The best way I could describe the guitars are like two snakes winding their way through the song. The best part about Lamb of God in my opinion is beast of a vocalist, Randy Blythe. He does not sound like any other vocalist in metal. Almost all of his lyrics are fully distinguishable without a lyrics sheet, which is a major plus. So if you call yourself a metal fan, and you do not have this album, you seariously need to get it. It is the best metal album produced in the past 10 years (in my opinion), followed closely by Shadows Fall's 'The Art of Balance' and Trivium's 'Shogun'.

Wheres Burn The Priest? And wheres a sixth star so I could rate this cd adequately, and all other Lamb Of God cds for that matter!

I'm a Christian and I gotta say this, I LOVE this band! Everything about it is so smootly put together! This has to be my favorite album, I haven't disliked a single song on it!
