The career of Mariah Carey is impeccable and legendary. She had so much music to release that she made an album every year in the 90s. She was Sony/Columbia's top selling act of the 90s. Adele is big right now and also was big when 21 was released. Mariah was the Adele of the 90s, though their music is completely different. Her music has only gotten better with each release. Why did they put that version of AIWFCIY on here? I guess I respect what Mariah wanted to do with the song. I hope she gets true promotion now that she is back with Sony Music again. This is a great collection of songs. Mariah has a good 20 songs that could have been singles that weren't.

why does it say the album was released in 1990 but there are songs on here that are from after 1990 mmm....................8(

The times have been tough since my brother, dad, and I moved to NC to have a new family with my new mom, brother, and sister. I had really good friends in FLA and I missed them. We once played "Hero" on one of their CD players and we didn't know who sang it. I just recently found it on iTunes and was flooded with joy and good memories. All of the puzzle pieces fit together. Mariah Carey is my hero and "Hero" is my favorite song. She has a beutiful voice.

This was her at her best I don't really like what she do now. Except for the Emancipation era or E=MC2 Era and Rainbow THOES are good.

I wish we had more music like this today. Mariah is and forever will be the Queen (perhaps after Whitney, may she rest in peace). Mariah's voice is just heaven. Love her!

I recommend getting each and everyone of Mariah's albums (yes even the newer ones such as Me. I am Mariah). They are simply masterpieces from beginning to end. This album has most of Mariah's hits which is great, just don't forget to check out her full albums. They have amazing songs that are passed up on! Love love LOVE MARIAH CAREY!!

great songs, some of her biggest hits! the only criticism i have would be that there are a lot of early 90's tracks that i love not on here only because they werent as popular as these ones. also, it doesnt have anything from her comeback years (Emancipation, E=MC2, Memoirs). overall, solid collection of one of the best singers of all time :)

This compilation is worth every penny! Mariah Carey is a versatile and unique artist! Often times I even feel that Mariah is too underrated! She doesn't get enough appreciation as is! For one, Mariah Carey isn't even included on Rolling Stone's Top 100 Artists which has always been a mystery to me. Also some people fail to realize that Mariah Carey writes ALL of her music (with the exception of covers). She has even sang other genres of music such as jazz and even rock songs! This woman is beyond amazing! I officially deem Mariah Carey the Empress of R&B/Soul! I have also came to a conlusion as well: Mariah Carey wasn't included on that God forsaken list because it's true, she's too good for that! She's also too good to be a judge on that rigged American Idol! I'll be honest and say that I was a little disappointed when Mariah agreed to be a judge on AI. Well I must respect the wishes of the Empress herself! Okay, I'm finished rambling!

Mariah Carey is one of my favorite singers of all time I absolutely love her music I stared listening to Mariah Carey in April 2010 My mom bough me her 1s album instead of getting her greatest hits album on Easter Sunday She is way better than those singers for younger people like Miley Cyrus and she is a very talented person When she took a break from singing and recording all of her album she decided to take of her twins Morrocan and Monroe b/c she is really a good mom I can't for her to be a judge on American Idol with Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban :)

I have been going through the toughest time of my life for the past 3+ years. And trust me my life hasn't been a joy ride. But this song I came across the other day and forgotten all about the song until I heard it again, and it swept me off my feet and almost took me To a place of solitude that I haven't felt for the last 3+ years. What a gift that was to me at this time! I have always loved Mariah's voice and Whitney's voice so what a gift when you get both. I'm facing yet another huge back surgery and it's happening really fast to prevent some possible paralysis and it being right before the holidays and not being ready due to the pain I've been in, this song being able to calm my nerves and relax me when I'm just so overwhelmed, I just want to say Thank you for your wonderful gifted voice you share with everyone and make a difference in so many people's lives!

This album is a phenomenal culmination of all of Mariah's best songs. She truly is the greatest vocalist of our time and has defined how we as humans DEFINE music. Absolutely incredible.

I just feel so human when Mariah sings to me. She just captures my spirit animal as no performer ever has. Sometimes, when I am all alone I wear a wig and passionately sing Mariah's tunes into my bathroom mirror. If I had to describe Mariah Carey as a color, I would pick beige because it kind of sounds like "bae." If Mariah Carey was a brand of soda pop she would be Canada Dry Ginger Ale. I don't really have a reason for that, I just think it's an underrated soda pop. Mmmmmmmm. Mariah is love. Mariah is life.

I hope to see a essential collection from Mariah soon. Considering she has released multiple albums since this hit collection.

"Underneath The Stars" was the 6th and final single from the Daydream album it's a 3 track Remix CD Single and it's Extremely Rare and I wish it was here on iTunes Store but it's so hard to find I doubt it will ever be on the store.

On vh1 it said Mariah Carey is the number 2 best singer of all time, and Madonna is number one. Madonna cannot nearly express as much soul as Mariah Carey not to mention Mariah's range

Don't know why. There are so many great songs. But, I'm just so into old songs. It reminds me of old good memory in the past. And in my opinion, She's the best. She's much better than beyonce. Beyonce never beat her. The most favorite song to me is make it happen.

This is a great collection! With the exception of the remix version of all I want for Christmas. The original version is far better and should have been included. All in all this is a must for all Mariah fans who followed her career from the beginning!
