Korn - Falling Away from Me

Falling Away from Me by Korn Song Info

"Falling Away from Me" is a song by American rock band Korn. It was released as the first single from their fourth album Issues, where it appeared in an episode of Comedy Central's animated series, South Park, entitled "Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery". The song went on to become one of Korn's most popular singles, with an anti-domestic abuse themed video topping MTV's Total Request Live for ten days. Songfacts: KoRn lead singer Jonathan Davis said of this: "The song is about domestic abuse and that there are ways to get help. Whether it's telling someone or calling a help line, there are ways to get out of those situations. No one has to be treated like that." This was the first hit off of their fourth CD, Issues. The CD came with four different covers. The most common one had a voodoo doll on the cover. A second cover was a chalk design on a playground of a girl and a boy, a third had the band as dummies with fake hair and zipped-up mouths, and the fourth showed a bunch of newspaper headlines glued to a wall and in the middle was a picture of someone laying down in a dark room with a shadow behind him. At the end of the video when the room starts lighting up, if you look close enough you can see Fred Durst's face for a split second. An animated version of Korn appeared on the Comedy Central show South Park and sang this during the episode "Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery."

- No Way

I've listened to Korn my whole life and have just recently discovered "No Way". It's now one of my favorite songs and it amazes me how under the radar it is. It's an amazing song and would've been single-worthy

- This is a stand out

This by far their best album. They haven't been the same since this but I think they're just adapting to the times. That in itself should show all the old fans that they are a great band

- If you like KoRn, this album is 4U!

Good Album by KoRn. Best songs are Trash, Somebody Someone, Falling Away From Me, Wake Up, and Lets Get This Party Started.

- I love KoRn

My favorite song of all time from KoRn is Falling Away from Me! I love this whole c.d though. This c.d IS worth the money! I'll probably still be listening to this c.d for another 10+ years.

- I Have No ISSUES With This Album

I was interested to hear that "Issues" was released after "Follow the Leader". What interested me was how I kept wondering what this album will sound like, since Korn often changes their sound a bit, which is a good thing for a band to do. Korn had not disappointed me with their self-titled album, "Life Is Peachy" was not as good but had some pretty good songs. "Follow the Leader" I enjoyed even more than their debut album. And I'm, happy to say that after listening to "Issues" several tiems, it doesn't disappoint. The album opens with the strange (but enjoyable) intro titled "Dead". It's strange because it doesn't sound like something Korn would ever do, but it flows perfectly into the most heard single, "Falling Away From Me". "Trash" is a twisted and haunting song that comes with a catchy chorus. "4 U" is one of the few intemrissions that are between some of the songs on this album. "4 U" is a simple, yet well written song about how drained the band is after trying to pelase their fans, but yet, they're thankful for the fact that people care about what they have to say as musicians. "Beg for Me" is another song that seems to be directed toward fans and has, like many songs on this album, a catchy chorus along with it. "Make Me Bad" is another single and I'm damn glad it was, because this is one of the most catchiest songs on the album. "Hey Daddy" is an enjoyable listen, along with "Lets Get This Party Started". The album closes with one of my personal favrite Korn songs, "Dirty". I didn't think much of this song at first but it is amazing in its own special way. This album is definatly worth a listen, whether you're new to Korn or you're already a Korn fan but have not yet listened to this album.

- my faorite album

this is by far korns greatest album. its in your face its mean and very dark. the new korn is not the same. but this in my mind is the defanition of what the band sounded like.

- Korn's Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery

BUY

- mostly awesome album.

while this isn't koRn's BEST album it is really good. though i don't get a couple tracks like dead and 4u, the rest is pretty awesome. the best tracks on here are falling away from me, trash, wake up, let's get this party started, and counting. it's still got the koRn quallity that was lost after untouchables and take a look in the mirror, so it's still an awesome album. if you're a koRn fan you should buy it, even though it's not quite as heavy as some of their earlier stuff.

- The Best of Korn! It is worth every penny!

My favorite korn cd ever. Dead 7/10 - a good opener but not a great song Falling Away From Me 10/10 - 2nd favorite song on cd. starts off slow but gets very loud Trash 9/10 - good, emo, don't play around parents or little kids 4U 8/10 - Not really a song but good lyrics and cool sound Beg for me - 3rd favorite song, loud chorus Make me Bad 8.5/10 - I dont know why this song is so popular, its good but not as heavy as the others. Its gonna Go Away 7/10 - Again not a real song but it is not as good as 4U Wake Up 9/10 - Loud, heavy, and very explicit Am I Going Crazy 7/10 - Not a real song kinda like Its gonna go away Hey Daddy 10+/10 - #1 song, weird synthasizers, crazy loud chorus, disturbing lyrics, its awsome Somebody someone 10/10 - Solid song. Check out the music video No Way 10/10 - Amazing song! Sad and angry Let's Get this Party Started 9/10 Good but a little weird Wish You Coul Be Me 8/10 Again not a real song but its kinda funny and entertaining counting 9.5/10 - Great Dirty 10/10 - Great disturbing end to a great CD Just buy the whole thing, it is worth it!

- Instant Memories

Wow, I used to love this album SO much. I just bought it and still do. Hands down best Korn album. Every song brings up a memory. I just can't get over this album.

- One of Korns Best.

While all of Korns albums are great, but when they downplayed their nu metal asspects they made their best albums, this one and the Untouchables. Falling Away from Me is undoubtedly one of their best songs ever, Trash has cool undertones and reminds me a little bit of the depravity of NIN song Closer, Make me Bad has some of Johns Davis' more best of his more straightforward clean singing and has a nice variety and is very catchy. All in all this whole album is pure Korn goodness, a must have for any Korn fans.

- Album Review

As a Korn fan, I consider this album to be one of their best. Life is Peachy and their amazing debut album both have this one beat, but the popular Follow the Leader is actually lost to this one. "Make Me Bad" is one of the best songs on the album, with its touching lyrics, hip-hop beats that can also be taken to be a classical genre act. "Let's Get This Party Started" is also one of the best, with it's creepy/depressing introduction, and a freaking chorus that makes anyone -- both haters and lovers -- headbang. "Trash" has a refrain that makes you think of the worst times in your life, making it another amazing song from the album, and "Falling Away From Me" received the airplay it deserved, with its ambient tone and towering chorus. Great Album 9/10 (5/5 for iTunes).

- Good

This is way better yhan GAY see you on the other side.

- Best Album By Korn

This album has the best music by korn and I recommend it to all of the people who like GOOD music.

- Great music!The best i've heard!

Issues is the best Korn cd i've ever heard. Most of the songs are pre-songs but great overall.Falling Away From Me is the best song in this cd.Trash, Make Me Bad, and Beg For Me are great too.I would recomend this cd to newcomers and to fans of nu metal/hard rock. It's simply their best work, you would be crazy if don't listen to this album.

- Wow.

I have nothing to say one of my favorite albums by KoRn

- Amazing

Definitely one of my favorite Korn albums. Here's my opinion on the tracks: 1.Dead- Cool intro. I can't really give it bad a rating. There is nothing wrong with it.10/10 2.Falling Away From Me- Definitely the big hit off the album. It is my favorite for sure off the album and is also one of my favorite Korn songs.10/10 3.Trash- Very cool and creepy song. Don't play it around little kids or your parents.9/10 4.4U- Ok.6/10 5.Beg For Me- Insane chorus. It gets stuck in your head really fast.8/10 6.Make Me Bad- Great song. Catchy chorus.10/10 7.It's Gonna Go Away- Great.10/10 8.Wake Up- Awesome song. It shows how much they care about each other. 9/10 9.Am I Going Crazy- Meh.6/10 10.Hey Daddy- I love this song so much! It's so awesome!10/10 11.Somebody Someone- Very heavy. You'll learn to love it if you didn't like it the first time.10/10 12.No Way- Good song.8/10 13.Let's Get This Party Started- Very heavy chorus. You either love it or hate it. I liked it.9/10 14.Wish You Could Be Me- Meh.6/10 15.Counting- Pretty cool. 7/10 16.Dirty- It's great while it lasts. The song is only around 3 minutes long. They decided to have this big 4 minute pause thing at the end of it.8/10 This album is a great buy. One of Korn's best work in my opinion.

- pretty good

i like see you on the other side more but its still pretty good. i love falling away from me and make me bad is pretty cool too

- Issues... has none

Overall it's the korn album that I like every single song on it. Best korn album!!

- Purely, amazingly... Demonic

This album is a true display of KoRn's music writing talent. Jumping in with screeching bagpipes with David's snare and kick drum, falling away from me sneaks in as another mind blowing hit along with songs such as trash, make me bad, and somebody someone. This is plainly KoRn's peak with head and the rest of the gang. This is just headbanging, moshing, clinical madness genius at its best with the only band who can perform completely down tuned and awesomely heavy riffs and lyrics. 10/10, purchase immediately, you surely won't regret it.

- My Favorite KoRn album.

This is, honestly, my favorite Korn album. It has a very dark sound, and all of the songs are good. Sure, some can argue "Hey! There's like, 5 songs on here that're less than two minutes!", but I belive those exact songs strongly enhance the feelings you get from this album. Hey, Am I Going Crazy is even one of my favorites on here! Here's my own personal run-down: Dead: 7/10: Not really all that memorable, but it is a nice way to set the tone of the album. Falling Away From Me: 10/10: Really good, powerful song. I remember listening to this over and over. Trash: 10/10: One of my favorite song on here. Very dark, and very melodic, strangely. 4U: 8/10: Sure, it's one of those short ones, but I liked it. Vocals sound weird, for some reason. Beg for Me: 10/10: My favorite of the album. Very catchy, and the chorus is just awesome!!! Make Me Bad: 9/10: It's really good the first few times you here it, but it's kind of predictable. It's Gonna Go Away:7/10: Another short one, but also sets the mood nicely. Wake Up: 8/10: Hahaha... I set this one as my alarm in the morning. Nearly impossible to stay asleep when your speakers are constantly yelling "Wake the fu** up!!!" Am I Going Crazy: 10/10: I loved this one... It's probably the darkest of them all. Sure, it's short, but powerful. Hey Daddy: 10/10: Another one of my favorites! I love Jon's vocals in this one. Another dark tone... Somebody Someone: 7/10: Personally, I don't understand why this song gets so much hype. It's alright. No Way: 10/10: Although it will always be overshadowed, I really love this song. Very well put together. Let's Get This Party Started: 9/10: Really good, but I'm not a big fan of it's chorus. Wish You Could Be Me: 7/10: Short, but sets a tone for the next song. Counting: 8/10: Ehh... Not a huge hit, but very easy to appreciate. Dirty: 10/10: Awesome way to end the album! It is so dark and intense, and Jon just screams very well in this song! It ends, and gives you a very empty, alone feeling. Perfect tone for the album.

- mhm...

falling away from me and make me bad

- go Korn

Korn rules. But itunes should get the tribute band korn nu kopia. Theyre great.

- Solid!

"Make Me Bad" is my favorite off of this album but this is a very good album. I would suggest you pick this one up.

- THE HIDDEN TRACK

It gets old really fast. After dirty there's like 3 minutes of static buzzing. It gets boring.

- LOVE IT!!!

My first korn album and my favorite. From dead to dirty it is a great ride. This is a must buy.

- wow

if this kind of music makes you happy then you are really a messed up person. nuff said.

- Korn

My favorite song right now iz trash

- Awesome!

This Is my favorite album! The new album KoRn III is awesome too but i think Issues and Life is Peachy are my favorites! if for some reason you question buying this album... DON't. Just Buy it!

- The TrUE FaCE of KoRN~Darkness

This album is what Korn forsakened and moved on to more popular music style. Korn isn't playing how they used to, unlike this album where the energy, and power if felt. The Darkest album, for what I think, that korn made. It is slow and powerful, this is a must have album for any Korn Fan or just fan of the darker side rock. The feel of this album is not evil but mellow and dark as in a deeper understanding of what clouds the darkest corners of our minds.

- Couldn't be any worse of an album.

David Silveria, drummer of korn (and the only talented member), could have made a better album by releasing an album of just his drum tracks. This is so bad it makes me feel like I'm chewing on tin foil for every painful second of this horrible concoction of recorded "songs." How this album was actually released on a major label is beyond me.

- Mix of Perfection and bad

It's a great album, don't get me wrong, Falling Away from me is probally my fav right now, but that trash and make me bad are the only ones I like, SO FAR

- Korn-Issues...

Let me just say that I'm 15 and have been a big fan of Korn ever since I heard Here to Stay on the radio in 2002. This album was sick. I wish I could give it more stars, but 5 is the limit... My favorite songs are Falling Away from Me, Trash, Make Me Bad, Wake Up, and Counting.

- All around great!

The best songs are falling away from me, make me bad and somebody someone.

- Not the Best

But it's still a good album. My favorite's continue to be their self-titled debut, Life is Peachy, and Untouchables

- Good album, Bad effort.

Arcai in. KoRn is one of the best bands I've ever listened to, but their follow-up to '98's Follow the Leader, Issues, is no where as near as dynamic as their previous releases. This is a good album, but it is one of Korn's worst efforts. Instead of their typical distorted rifts, they try to make it sound more..."out there" than other material. It's not a waste of money, but it's not as powerful as Follow the Leader and their debut album. It can be likened more to their second album, Life Is Peachy. The best songs on the album are Falling Away from Me, Beg for Me, Make Me Bad, Wake Up, and Dirty. I give it four and a half stars. Arcai out--

- The Best Korn CD Hands Down!!!

Ok, this was one of the first Korn cds I bought. This is one of those cds that you have to listen to from start to finish to fully experience this amazing masterpiece. This cd (along with Untouchables) has gotten me through some pretty dark times in my life. Its just such an amazing cd. Dead-8/10: A good intro. Falling Away From Me-10/10: An amazing song. great vocals on here. Trash-10/10: This is my second favorite. an amazing chorus. I can really feel the emotion in this. 4U:8/10: I thought this was a cool song. Love the background noises. Beg For Me-8/10: A good song, but not my favorite. Make Me Bad-9/10: A great song. nuff said. It's Gonna Go Away-7/10: An okay interlude. not much. Wake Up-9/10: This song is one of the most underrated songs. I love this song. Am I Going Crazy-8/10: A wierd interlude. but its cool though. Hey Daddy-10/10: This and Somebody Someone are tied for my third favorite on the song. Love the synth. Somebody Someone-10/10: Like it says above, tied for third fav. just a downright good, heavy song. No Way-8/10: This song is pretty good. I love the singing in the chorus. Let's Get This Party Started-9/10: A great song. love the screaming in the chorus. Wish You Could Be Me-7/10: This was my least favorite on the cd. it can get annoying if listened to too much. Counting-9/10: Again, another underrated song. its just an awesome song. Dirty-100/10 This is the best song on the cd and the best Korn song ever made. You can really feel the emotion in Jon's voice. this song has gotten me though so much in my life. an amazing song and an amazing way to close out the album. All in all, this is Korns best work, hands down. buy the whole thing, listen to it all the way through, and listen to the experience of a lifetime.

- This is the album to get!

This album sounds more mature than the rest. It really shows how much they have grown musically... hands down.

- Probably KoRn's worst album.

I think WORST is a bit too strong of a word. It's not bad or great, just okay. Part if not a lot of the reason is due to the fact there so many fillers (Almost a third of the album is filler!) in this album which really bothers me. Though you should own this album if you are an avid KoRn fan, it's just definitely not the best.

- Issues

Issues is the fourth album by nu metal band Korn. The album has a significant less hip-hop-influence than other Korn albums and is more alternative-influenced. The first single is Falling Away from Me, the song is about domestic abuse and is one of Korn's best songs, the song features a piano-synth line during the verses and having a heavy guitar riff at some moments but majority of the song being soft and mellow. The second single is Make Me Bad, the song is about drug addiction, it is again a more mellow and is one of the more catchy Korn songs. The third single is Somebody Someone, it is one of the heavier songs in the album and is overall very powerful. A notable track is Hey Daddy, the song is very industrial-influenced and an overall just another good song. The last notable track is Let's Get this Party Started, the song has a very heavy hook and powerful verses overall another great track. Overall this album is not as good as the previous three albums and less hip-hop-influenced but a very good album. Jonathan Davis-vocals Munky-guitar Head-guitar Fieldy-bass guitar David Silvera-drums Brendan O'Brien-production

- :]

i have issues

- second favorite Korn album

I prefer the debut but I like this more than Follow The Leader because there aren't any songs with rapping. I like rap-metal but I don't think it's Korn's thing. I like it more than Life Is Peachy because it's way more consistent. Best songs are Falling Away from Me, Trash, Beg for Me, Make Me Bad, Hey Daddy, Somebody Someone, and Let's Get this Party Started

- Issues

Just remember, don't listen to Issues in the dark, because chances are that you WILL get scared out of your mind. The dark and brooding vibe given off from this masterful album is dark, and unsettling. However, at the same time, it is great in that sense because if it had been light or poppy (which is what Korn was kind of leaning for with "Got the Life" off of the Follow the Leader album), it would have been pathetic. Korn delivers again on this album, continuing a string of outstanding albums in the year 1999. You will not be dissapointed if you get it, so get it!

- A Great Album

This album is so great. My favorite tracks are - Falling Away From Me, Make Me Bad, Dead, Wake Up, & No way

- best albums!

amazing

- ehhh it's okay

This album isn't terrible but then again it's not great. Mediocore at best. "Falling Away from Me" is really the only nu metal, Blind/Ball Tounge esque, song on this album. The rest of this album sounds like it's experimental but kinda falls flat.

- AMAZING!!!

Hands down one of the best rock albums of all time. With Issues Korn establishes themselfs as rock icons and stakes claim on the throne of the Nu-Metal kingdome. Issues is deeply twisted and insanely wicked but it is it's elegance and gracefulness that pulls this album together. Korn are one of the greatest bands of all time and they prove it with Issues.

- Prolly my fav KoRn album

This album is prolly my fav of all time this one has the most eerie guitar sounds that just turn into a blast of heavy chords and bass and drum riffs with great and emotional vocals! rock on KoRn this alubum is amazing along with all ur other works!

- Dark, Creepy, Amazing.

This is one of Korn's better cd's. I will attempt to rate the songs according to how I liked them. Every song on this cd is good. Dead: intro song, not bad, 7/10 Falling away from me: Dark, Creepy song, i loved it. 10/10 Trash: Good song, good rythm. 9/10 4u: not really a song, but still good sauce. 7/10 Beg for me: eerie song, starts slow, gets loud and fast. 9/10 make me bad: of course one of the best on the cd 10/10 It's gonna go away: good vocals by davis: 8/10 Wake up: 9/10 am i going crazy: again, just a short filler "song" 6/10 HEY DADDY; my favorite song on the cd, and one of my favorite korn songs of all time it is just amazing. very underrated. 13/10 somebody someone: very good song. 10/10 no way: catchy , good guitar, good back up vocals: 9/10 let's get this party started: slow beginning, turns into screaming, good stuff. 10/10 wish you could be me: boring, but weird and cool. 6/10 counting: 8/10 Dirty: very creepy song, and very good, the end of the song is just static though 8/10

- MAKE ME BAD

I liked this album, it started to sound more like Korn does now. But if u like Korn, here are some songs you need to hear: Blind, Clown,Shoots and ladders, Twist, Chi, Good God, A.D.I.D.A.S, It's on!, Freak on a leash, Got the life, Dead bodies everywhere, B.B.K, Pretty, Falling away from me, Trash, Beg for me, Make me bad, Somebody someone, Counting, Here to stay, Bottled up inside, Thoughtless, Embrace, Beat it upright, Wake up hate, I'm hiding, Right now, Here it comes again, Deep inside, Did my time, Everything i've known, I'm done, Y'all wanna single, Twisted transistor, Politics, Hypocrites, Souvenir, Love song, Coming undone, Evolution, Hold on, and Inocent Bystander
