man, what happened to the real hip hop, it's fake rappers with no skills like Jim Jones who ruin hip hop!!!!!!!it gets me mad!!

This is a load of crap. Jim Jones might be the worst rapper ever, him and that fat guy Tony Yayo and Lil Boosie aka Women Voice.When I stick this Cd in i program it to where it only place number 9. I shouldve of just bought Ballin off itunes instead of the whole cd.

When i first saw the name Jim Jones on itunes, i automatically thought it was that crazy San Francisco preacher who in 1978 led his followers to leave the United States and go to Guyana and build a settlement named Jonestown in honor of the crazy fool. Then after struggling for a couple months, the US congressman of Jim Jone's old church district in San Francisco was sent to check on this settlement. He brought along a rowdy group of reporters and journalists to report the health and living conditions and the works, and after they visited, everything seemed fine except that THE WHOLE SETTLEMENT WAS ACTING!!!! they were not at all a good settlement, in fact, Jim Jones sent a group of his followers armed with large automatic guns to gun down the Congressman and his group while they were trying to leave on the small isolated airstrip, 5 miles from Jonestown. Then, after the casualties were inflicted, Jim Jones told his citizens that there was no options now, and that the American Troops were on their way to destroy Jonestown and avenge the deaths of the Congressman and his group, and so a mass suicide was ordered, or it could have been a mass murder, either way all the people of Jonestown died except an old lady who hid under her bed, some survivors from the Airstrip murder, some guys who ran into the jungle, and Jim Jone's Son (can you believe it? it is true). In the end, the man Jim Jones (who always has very dark glasses on, that crazy maniac) was shot in the head, because he didnt want to drink the poison cool aid that he made most of the people of Jonestown drink to die. He caught the attention of the world for part of the year 1978 and now this artist whose name is not Jim Jones (as shown on the internet) is rapping in the name of the maniac who caused so many deaths!!! and hes not good at it either.

Im not really a Jim Jones fan, but i can say this album was pretty good. First you fans have to know the difference between biting and sampling. Jay-z, Tupac, Nas, just bout every rapper in the industry samples an original song and puts a lil spin on it. There's nothing new under the sun. If you really know your MUSIC you wouldnt be saying Jim Jones is biting. The album contains a few good track...some of them FIRE, some DECENT, and the rest i just skip over. Lyrically! yea Jim Jones isn't the greatest but he has a good ear for music. He knows how to pick a good beat, get the right people to feature on the track, and he knows how to ride a beat as if it was personally designed for him. And that makes a good rapper. *So Harlem *Emotionless *Reppin' Time *We Fly High *Weather Man *Pour Wax *Bright Lights i dont care if you drive a 1979 Camry or a 2007 Lexus, those tracks are riding music that will have in the mood to ride out. Lyrically he still has a ways to go, but he knows how to make a pretty damn good song when the time comes. This album can get some rotation in the cd player.

Im a heavy metal fan and I love the song "We Fly High" a lot. Its the only song thats worth buying on this album, but since Im a metal fan my opinion might not be much of value. (Yes, I have the full album. A friend gave me a copy.) Anyway, I recommend buying the song. The other reviewer has a good point, the voicemail skits are terrible! Why the hell would anyone want to listen to that and pay 2 dollars for them?

Jim Jones is out there right now representing the set. Unlike the others, Jim Jones and his music will never die. This is just like Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, only back then all they had were clocks on chains. Today, there are Lambos that they flash off.

It's a damn shame that I like the diss song better than the original track. (As a matter of fact, almost everybody on the remix had a better verse than Jimmy.) Lyrically, JJ is the only second best in Dipset. I need an abacus to keep track of the repetition from one line to the next. But anything's better than Cam. Let Juelz do the rapping, the other two cats can fall back and eat off Santana's skill. I think that's a diplomatic approach.

All tracks on the album are aite. He shouldve put more featured guest. The remix of Ballin is crystal hot sauce saucy not tabasco saucy. The original of Ballin was to Plain and didnt really get any radio play till they dropped the remix of it .I think the album was rushed just like Hogans daughters album. So in a nut shell I would only buy the remix Ballin.

The single "We Fly High" has been all over the radio and Jim's infamous catch-phrase "BALLIN'" is something apart of everyday life. When I heard the song I thought, wow this a great single, but the album will most likely be just trash. In any case, I went and got the album anyway and found that this guy is more promising than I first believed. The production is pretty good stuff; made mostly made for clubs and dB drag races... lol. The lyrics are probably the weakest part of the album, which is still better than alot of the crap you hear nowadays. The featured artists are fun, and the overall thrill of listening to some of the songs in your car with "poooooouuuuunnnnnds" is, well, great. One problem I have is that there are too many SKITs on the album. Some great songs: Bright Lights Big City, Emotionless, Pin The Tail, We Fly High, Weather Man & Pour Wax.

Uhh, one thing. If you are looking for pointless swearing, abuse of women, crimes that should not be committed, and generally sludgy music, two thumbs up!
