A good follow up from his "Just Be" work. The sweet vocals editions from Everything, Do You Feel Me, and Sweet Things will ring in your head for days and days. In the Dark (with Christian Burns) is an awesome tune that has some really good remixes as well as does Break My Fall. Ten Seconds Before Sunrise and the title track, Elements of Life, are plenty of fun though!! I was disappointed with Carpe Noctum, and Dance 4 Life is ok but the monotone Faithless doesnt seem appropriate for a track of this name and they feel somewhat empty for Tiesto.

I admit, I wasn't horribly fond of it when I first listened to it but after listening to it a few times, I'M HOOKED..... BIG TIME! I'm not one who's particularly moved by vocals in my dance music... these have grown on me like no other vocal dance songs EVER have. Even songs that I strongly disliked at first are now amongst my favorite. This man's a freakin' genius.

After seeing him wrap up Saturday at Coachella, I had to get this album ASAP. I am happy to say I was not disappointed. I rock this cd on the regular because its so bangin.

This is by far one of the best albums composed by tiesto. Again he is able to capture your mind, the song elements of life really puts you inperspective with the elements that make life possible, and what we as those elements have come to accomplish.

Once again Tiesto comes back with another outstanding album. with carpe noctum and others such as in the dark and dance 4 life. Dace for life is the kind of song to just turn on and just jump right into. but with carpe noctum and in the dark have crazy bass and synthing done very well. Good job! tiesto you've out done your self once again!

i would give this album like 10 out of 5 stars if it was possible Tiesto is no doubt the all time greatest DJ in the history of the world this guys S*** IS TOO SICK!

This album is worth getting, a couple of shining stars mixed in with some decent trance. Carpe Noctum sounds a lot like traffic (which is a good thing in my book), and really sounds like a great club track. In spite of the popularity of Carpe Noctum, don't miss Break My Fall which in my opinion is the best track in this album. A great buy, don't get Break My Fall on the EP release, the one here is the best!

There are tracks I like better than others, but overrall i give it 5 stars. starts out great with ten seconds before sunrise. Carpe Noctum sweet things, and Bright Morningstar are amazing tracks with excellent bass lines. Elements of life is my favorite track on the album and expresses Tiesto's music talents in a way only he can. Go see him live if you havent before.

my personal favorite on this CD is do you feel me...I love vocals and that song is a hit!! Every other song is pretty good but if you're more into vocals, do you feel me is HOT! Tiesto never fails to impress!

this album does take some getting use to. if you listen to it the first time, it might not get to you as much, but after listening to it over and over again and seeing this man live, i've completely changed my judgement on this album. i don't know how he does it, but tiesto continues to add beautifully coreographed classics to his bunch. already, you can see that carpe noctum, elements of life, and break my fall are just a few that will be added onto his list of "classics". ten seconds before sunrise is a great song as well along with driving to heaven which is the "melodic," "smooth," "relaxing," one of the bunch that makes you tingle throughout your body. Another great, strong, unique, album created my the man himself! great job tiesto!

incredible, the only word i can describe this album with. from the moment i pressed play i was in a euphoric state, my body twitching to the beat, my mind sent far from this planet. tiesto has made yet another awesome album, and i cant give it anything lower than a 5 star. if you are new to tiesto or worship his music, you will not be disappointed. i look forward to making the club bounce with these tunes.

I don't know what the people who hate this album are smoking -- this album is GREAT. The songs are perfectly crafted, every build-up well-executed, and the vocals are amazing. The best songs are "Everything" and "Sweet Things," but the whole album really is superb. If you liked Just Be you will definitely also like this. The only song on it that is less than excellent is Dance 4 Life, which falls short of the quality of the rest of the album.

Bought one song. Elements of Life.

The songs are good. Theres no dening that. Only bad part is..when I downloaded that cd. In between the tracks are pauses. I'm sorry but itunes need to fix that.

tiesto has never really impressed me at all...then again i like more pump-up beats but its still bad

Excellent CD, some of the tracks were a little tedious but for the most part like usual. he pulls out all the stops for this amazing work.

I had high expectations, perhaps unfairly, but I think this album fell short. A few good tracks, a few more worth skipping. Tiesto has better offerings in his catalog.

unimpressed :( it's unfortunate that some people may rate the caliber of trance by this album. please don't... this is horrible. tiesto is a letdown! following in the steps of so many popular dj's, they use their #1 dj status to produce mainstream tracks. If you want a good tiesto cd check out parade of athletes or just be, those are impressive tracks. or look into some real trance like john 00 fleming, scot project, christopher lawrence or nicholas bennison

The entire album may not be worth buying considering only three tracks stand out..Ten Seconds Before Sunrise, Bright Morningstar and Carpre Noctum.

Alex is not well known but is very good. Reminds me of Tiesto in some ways, just not as "serious" sounding. I have been a fan of both for some time.

A must-buy for everyone who's into trance/progressive or whatever you wanna call it.. recently me and my buddies went to his concert here in NYC, July 19 @ Hammerstein Ball and we had a blast! his single " sweet things " and " in the dark " was played really well...!! it's going to be a regret if you dont get this one.. THE BEST ONE YET

This album is unbelievable and is completely elevated by Tiesto's shows. With it he captures the beauty and force of life. If anyone has any doubts about the quality of his beats, opposing round solid bass with clear glass like melodies that just seem to capture the mystery of life, the fun, the beauty, the grace of movement through the darkness guided by stars, Then they should really experience this. The Elements of life tour has been simply amazing, check out the Aug 7th 2007 show at the los Angeles Sports Arena, one of the best times I have ever had! Would rather hear tiesto as he takes me on a journey than enjoy Armin in his own world.

If you need an album that will just make you feel good, this is it. I'm actually jealous that other people will eventually discover this album - I wanted it to be my secret.

I really wanted to hate this. I've been in love with Tiesto for years. His was the first EDM show I'd ever seen the first year I could get into clubs. I've seen him live 5 times now and completely resisted this album before the last time I saw him live (last weekend). Now, I'm hooked. Hearing songs like "Bright Morningstar," "Elements of Life", "Driving to Heaven" and "Ten Seconds Before Sunrise" live is the kind of experience you won't get from any other type of music, even other types of EDM. His music creates the kind of moments where you'd cry because the crowd and the atmosphere and/or the drugs are so crazy uplifting you wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the world ever. That's why this man is as famous as he is. No one brings it like him. It just makes you realize one thing...trance music is a live genre, meant to be experienced in a club environment and not just as a sound from your living room (although, there are synthetic ways of reaching that high from your couch too). Honestly, I can see why people call him the King of McTrance. These songs are fairly cheesy with their pitch-perfect production coming from my headphones. But live? Mindblowing.

(My Original Post)I just dont feel the same power or energy that I am use to from this magical man. What happened? (Revamped) I didnt like this CD a lot the first time I listened to it. But, being the trance nut I am, I listened to it again... and again... and if I were to do it again it would be my 12th time all the way through. All I can say is I F'ING LOVE THIS CD! Break My Fall, Carpe Noctum, Dance 4 Life, Elements of Life, Ten Seconds Before Sunrise, these are my favs.

love this cd... "sweet things" & "do you feel me" are awesome songs... like the lyrics... the beat of "carpe noctum" & "driving to heaven" make it even better & with the now current singles... "dance 4 life", "In the dark" & "break my fall" it makes the album just increadible

Considering he's so well revered, and I love trance, I thought the album would at least grow on me, but it hasn't. It sounds like its from 2000, and I don't mean the good stuff from 2000 that I still listen to. The opening track is kind of nice, but there really isn't a single track worth keeping.

you gotta be nuts! this abum is amazing! with a good sound system the bass is intrancic!! you get sucked in and pulled along for the ride.
