This is a really good album, clever, full stop. Must have.
This album personifies the gritty street narative of east coast hip-hop and is one of the greatest hip-hop albums ever, their follow-up "Hell On Earth" is just as good, as was "Murda Muzik" all three are highly recommended.
Epic album.
possibly my favorite rap album up north trip is my favorite song
The infamous greatest hip hop albums next to illmatic
This album is straight raw. great album
This was quite possibly the best album ever. Every beat, every punchline was smooth. Nobody, not even Mobb Deep, knew how to recreate this kind of rap after this album dropped.
The best Mobb Deep album ever!
i missed this rap
Better than so called murder music today. Mobb Deep still bring that dark, scary feeling when you listen to it. I also tried to listen to it in the dark, and that did'nt go so well lol.
This is Hands one of the best hip hop albums ever.Period, it doesn't get any realer than this.
Mobb Deep is just one Raw group but anyway this album a very solid album by the Mobb. One thing I like about this group is that they work together very well and know how to cover up each of there weaknesses. If you really love lyrics this is the album for you because they bring plenty of that on this album
This song is the 8 Mile intro!
One word to describe this album: RAW
After almost 20 years, I'm still in love with this album. I forgot how thorough this album was. On my last day, I want this album with me!
man i always likes mobb deep since i was like 14
Today's the 16th Anniversary! Listened to the whole thing today like I heard it for the 1st time. CLASSIC =D
Mobb Deep was crazy back then. Prodigy was one of the greatest lyricists of Rap and Havoc's beats were down right sick. I'll always like Blood Money more cuz I'ma G-Unit fan but The Infamous is what Mobb Deep really is.. Awesome.
real hiphop brothers and sisters know what to say about this album!...party over for fake mcees...the mobb deep is fresh rite here.
This is the hottest, grimiest, hip hop record ever.
I love mobb deep, they're true rappers and no one else can say lil Wayne or drake can beat them. This is the few albums that deserve to be on the top ten! Period. Great album!
CLASSIC!
Hav and Pee are the best hip hop duo. This album is a classic. It's the sound of 90's east coast rap at its best!
When hip hop was hip hop and when rap was rap... My all time favorite hip hop/rap album.. "Hip hop is dead"
That's Music To me Ears 🎧🎶🎵
This is by far one of the best albums ever dropped. It's Classic, and timeless, Start to Finish....Lyrics, Production, and C0-labs all are FIRE. Even Noyd did his thing as an unknown at the time. It's funny too cause I remember on the cassette tape error you had to have a great A side to get ppl to listen to the B side, and you have more that 10 tracks and a bunch on inro/ outro, skit bullShizer. Artist today don't have it in them, except maybe a few.
As good as this cd is, why isn't there a remastered version available. As much as I like basement produced beats, it wouldnt hurt to remaster the same sounds to high def quality. If iTunes wanted it bad enough, it would happen.
This is real HipHop no Autotune,no singing, Just pure Hip Hop from Queensbridge ,New York.A Must have for any Hip Hop fan!
I remember when they came out to C.W. Post in '95 to do a show it was standing room only in the auditorium. That was a good night... truly one of the best performances I've ever been witness to; and when they brought out Lost Boyz (R.I.P. Freaky Tah), and started goin back and forth on the mics, whew... This is true Hip-Hop at its finest.
one of the best rap albums of all-time!
The only good album they ever put out. The other albums just don't have the same feel. This album alone will be among the best for.....ever.
One of the best ever made
Such An Awesome Album! Can't Stop Playing Survival Of The Fittest and Hell On Earth! Want the beats for them!
Underrated, overlooked and unspoken of but a piece of Hip-Hop history. The album does not let up, not for one second. The definitive hip-hop album.
Listen when albums like this came out we didnt have ITUNES, FACEBOOK, MYSPACE, TWITTER etc etc.....but these albums from MOBB DEEP, NAS, RAKIM, JAY-Z to name a few have and will be played along side of the Justin Beiber crap albums of the world!!!!!! Its OK Itunes will forever promote crap music and put classic album on the back burner and i'm not talking about just rap...they do it to all classic albums....so dont be mad if justin Beiber has 5 million reviews there all from teenie boppers who dont know great music......its GENERATIONAL!!!!!!
This is hands down the best rap album put out. i wish hip hop would go back to this
One of the best songs ever created
one of best hip hop groups makes one of the best hip hop album ever. beats gritty and lyrics dirty. shook ones one of the best hip hop songs ever.
Better than Illmatic, better than Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, better than Liquid Swords. I might change my mind soon, but this should be in the six-disc changer. Go buy it in stores! it'll definitely be there.
THIS AND ILLMATIC ARE THE 2 GREATEST HIPHOP ALBUMS EVER. EVERY SONG EVERY BEAT EVERY RHYME IS PERFECTION.
Shook Ones PT.2,Right Back At You, Temperatures Rising, Survival of the Fittest, True Life, Eye for a Eye, and Give Up The Goods are the best songs on here
Until today And i can say this is a dope album
The rating dont tell the story...every one of these songs are simply amazing. This has got to be one of the dopest albums ive ever heard.
I don't think I've heard a 90's hip-hop album that I legitimately think about everytime I turn on my iPhone. Havoc and Prodigy are excellent lyricists. Don't sleep on them for a second. This album is the one to cop. Download it, you won't regret it.
This is "one" of the greatest albums of all time. If you haven't heard this album yet, raise your right hand, turn it sideways, and smack yourself hard.
One of the best illustrations of the New York vibe at the time. I'm CHI-TOWN's Finest myself, but mad respect. The young artist just don't get!!!!. Must have for your music collection. One!
That review says it all so perfectly!
Music like this is surely missed!
LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM START TO FINISH
This CD is a perfect example of what East Coast hip hop is/ was in the 90's. This album features some o the best production in hip hop of all time. Havoc's beats compliment the rapping perfectly, and I love how simple, yet great, the production/ beats are. Prodigy's lyrics are great, and so are Havoc's when he raps. Every single song is so good, including the three short preludes. Standout tracks: Shook Ones pt. II Survival of the Fittest Eye for an Eye Up North Trip Temperature's Rising
REAL HIP-POP!
Classic. Period.
