- Prince, New Wave, Freestyle, and modern technology, finally together!

Wow, this is a total throwback to the late '80's, but with today's electronic music technology. Great beats, Prince-like funk, New Wave riffs, and an overall Freestyle vibe make this highly enjoyable.

- very bad

come on, people... making music that mimics cheesy 20-year-old old American electropop does not automatically equal coolness... this sounds like terrible 80's movie soundtrack theme songs, right down to the cheesy outmoded synths and awful lyrics... guys like Justice, Daft Punk, and Simian Mobile Disco do this kind of thing far better, because they actually take something old/uncool and do adventurous new things with it that make it sound really cool... Fancy Footwork is just regurgitated sounds that were best left in the dustbin. (great album cover, though!)

- FUNK ABYSS

Chromeo brings all the slinky synths, sirens, voicebox vocals (Roger Troutman's smilin' down on these cats, for sure), real guitar and dope lyrics about the trials of tryin' to stay fly in this mad world you need. Great to throw on at the party when all the ladies ain't feelin' those one-hit blunders anymore and wanna get loose, kid! I dare ya not to move yer a*s when Chromeo is on. "Fancy Footwork" is almost perfect...cop it all 'cept trx 7 & 8, add a few from their 1st effort (shes so gangsta, needy girl..)and you got a disc that's cool n' sweet like Thai ice tea for fine wild nights...

- FRESH OUT THE RUBIKS CUBE

This is not a throwback album. This is a genre throwup album. And when I say throwup, I mean like throw your MOTHERF****N hands up. Way to come with it again PTHUG

- .Brilliantly familiar.

An old wheel gets a new shine and proves to be a hell of a ride!!!!!

- Excellence

This album couldn't be any better. The up-beat tempo of each song just makes you want to dance. Love each and every one of these songs.

- 100%

is such an incredibly sexy song to dance to I can't stop playing it for everyone i know! the whole album is a "must buy" for any fan of dancing with soul.

- Great sophmore album!

This is a great follow-up to She's in Control. Chromeo stays true to their roots and expands upon them. There feels like more 80's flare than before, which is done well while maintaining their signature style. Especially Opening up and Bonafied lover, feeling slightly influenced by early 80's Dance music. Fancy Footwork is definately the standout song, but all of the other songs are strong as well.

- Momma's BOY!!!!!

This song is sooo good! I can't get the tune out of my head, but that's a good thing! Although this song is good I think i would need to really like electronic music to enjoy the whole album. I think this album is just like beet juice, abvesouly an acciored (sorry can'y spell) sound ( the song not the beet juice, sorry not a very good reference). Love IT!!!!!

- chromeo is awesome

they have some greats beats is just different electronic I love it , its like electronic love music . If you love their last album , you will love this one too go for it!!!

- unbelieveable

"shes in control" has some phenominal songs. but i found myself skipping over many of the tracks. but this cd has 11 tracks of pure funk. one of the best albums ive heard in years. if only more artists made music like this.

- Driving/Dancing/Whatever

I find that this CD suits my car best, as long as no one can see or hear me...you know...cause I can't sing or dance. This stuff makes me want to try. Seriously. This is some of the best music I've ever heard. Astonishing beats mixed with synth melodies and a touch of sarcasm. I was working a few blocks away when they had their show in Buffalo at the Calumet. All of my bartender friends attended. Sick show.

- More of the same; And That's Perfect!

This sophomore follow up to "She's In Control" is a long-waited treat for me. The "Intro/Tenderoni/Fancy Footwork" punch give's the LP it's strength and the following songs are tight and fun. It's a non-nonsense excuse for funk, synth's and everything in-between. The few mid-tempo numbers are also a breather from all the dancing you will find yourself doing while listening. Also, they use a little less on the vocoders this time around and become more comfortable with their voice. A must get.

- They did it again!

Nobody captures that cheesy 80s funk sound quite like Chromeo. Great party music!

- OMG!! <33.

i LLLOOVVVEEE this album. i LOVE the song Momma's boy. reminds me of muh ex boyfriend. hahaha. so good. =)

- Soulful 80's electro-lounge

My first exposure to Chromeo was the Fancy Footwork D.I.M. remix. It never occured to me that it wasn't the original until I wandered onto Chromeo's myspace. The original is, in my opinion, way better than the remix - still love the remix though. This entire album is very similar to Fancy Footwork. Check out Tenderoni, but the whole album's pretty money... in an 80's electro-lounge sense.

- DEFINATELY FUN!!

Some good vibes here. Total throwback to old skool, but well mixed with digital lovelyness. Definately check out 'tenderoni', 'fancy footwork' and 'My girl is calling me a liar', must have tracks for good dance/party vibe. Go Chromeo go!!!!

- Better than the first

I was skeptical that this album would be good, but I find myself enjoying it more than their first album. It has more consistantly good songs. Highlight tracks are Bonafied Lovin, Fancy Footwork & Opening Up. Yes, it is more of the same, but it is more refined and the hooks are bigger.

- 1986, But In A Good Way!

After their first album proved to be a dance club sleeper, I was seriously doubting that Dave 1 and P-Thugg could pull off a sophmore album that would equal the genius of their first album. After several listens, this is definately a million times better than their old stuff. The production is top-notch, the lyrics are almost too catchy (but in a good way), and it will make you want to dance all night. As they said this is "Slick Lovers Funk" or Rick James meets Shalamar rollin on 22's while Roger and Zapp do a drive by. Get the idea? Get this now!

- Amazing!

80's electronic funk brought back to life! Chrome-e-o...ooh, ooh!

- Pure Energy

I use to think Chromeo was a spoof band for the electrofunk genre. but after listening to this album, i am impressed. You can't be a spoof band if your this Tight and your songs are this Great.

- ok

not as good as shes in control.

- My favorite

I must say I did not think it could get any better but Chrome's sophmore album has proven me wrong. The sound is old and new at the same time and it really gets you on your feet. Buy the whole album as soon as possible.

- Not very fresh

This music sounds far too much like Klymaxx et al...that sort of tinny 80s dance stuff which sounds amusing and enjoyable from the distance of time but is not something that should be made today and presented as fresh. Listen to any C-grade early/mid 1980s music and you'll know what I mean - not a great source of inspiration, let alone a source of practically verbatim inspiration.

- awsome!

I just purchased this album, and after listening through it a couple of times, I can honestly say it is one the best albums I´ve heard in a long long time. It is like an amazing crash between Datarock, Fleetwood Mac with an occasional dash of Petshop Boys. Definitely worth checking out if your in to groovy electronic music. Easy 5ive stars

- MORE FUN THAN EVER BEFORE

Sombody combined early 80's synth pop with late 80s/early 90s Freestyle.... This is what i dream about. I'm hooked!

- How to make the girls dance:

Buy Fancy Footwork! Chromeo does not get the exposure they deserve. This album is a new sound. They are so unique from what is played now days. Best Party music! BUY THIS RECORD!

- it's like the last album. but better

chromeo is still making that good ol electrofunk but this album definetly is more dancierish. you know? it makes u want to dance

- great album

i heard bonafied lovin on xmu and fell in love. it's a great album, reminds me of kennedy. has great beats and funny lyrics.

- A Niche That Needed Filling.

With all the '80s throwback music being tossed around, thank God Chromeo really GETS it. Just like their first album, you'll hear songs for the first time that you could have SWORN you shook your thang to back in 1987. Combining (while successfully contrasting) new-millenial attitude and twenty-year-old synth-funk, Dave 1 and P-Thugg manage to make EVERYONE want to dance (including those hipsters who may profess otherwise). Unlike their first album, this one is solid almost the whole way through, serving up great singles like "Tenderoni" and the eponymous "Fancy Footwork." The real gem, however, is the sweetly awkward "Momma's Boy," which dares you to smile no matter what the day did to you. Overall, you'll be hard pressed to find a listener who doesn't appreciate the cheeky talent of these two Canucks.
