- 311, RATM, Hed PE, Quarashi, KONGCRETE, Run DMC, Body Count

311 can be counted as the 'founding fathers' along with Rage Against the Machine, Hed PE, and Querashi in combining hip hop with rock n roll instrumentals and vocal aggression. Bands such as these continue to influence new up-and-coming bands such as KONGCRETE who have found that sweet spot where mashups between rock and hip hop can create an entirely new genre. 311 shows us all how reggae, rock, and funk can co-exist.

- One of the Better Best of Albums...

This CD is incredible. I absolutely love 311. When I listen to this CD is brings me back to my childhood in the 90's. I think everyone should give it a shot because it has a song for every rock listener. There are very few CDs that I could listen to all of the way through and this is one of them. I get bored with styles of music very quickly but this one keeps you entertained the whole way through. Amber and I'll Here Awhile are both great songs. 311, you guys rock. I can't wait for UPLIFTER.

- this made me love 311

one of the best bands to come out of the 90s. rap/rock bands usually are horrible, but 311 seriouly rocks. come original, do you right, creatures, and how do you feel are the best here.

- 311 rock on!!

I like the songs: Down Flowing All Mixed Up Amber Come Original Beautiful Disaster Creatures (For a While) Do You Right I'll Be Here Awhile You Wouldn't Believe Transistor Don't Stay Home Homebrew Beyond the Gray Sky Love Song How do you Feel? and First Straw But overall I like the whole album.

- Unbelieveable

One of the best collection of songs by any given artist, period.

- All the Best 311 in One CD

Every song is amazing, I could listen to this cd every day of my life! Buy it if you don't already own it!

- 311 is AwEsOmE!!!!!

Great album! my Favorite song is Amber, but all these songs are good :)

- Partial Criticism

whoever writes the "official"/biased Itunes reviews is nothing short of demeaning with their generalities and uneducated judgments on a musical masterpeice...311 puts their heart and soul into every song and if you've listened to this album you know what im refering to. buy this album and dont waste your time on reading the "official review"

- awesome album

great compilation of 311 songs, and for only 9.99! Some of my favs include Amber, Down, Flowing, I'll Be Here Awhile (I looooooove that song), and Don't Stay Home. The only really good song they neglected to include was champaign. But anyhow, great album.

- The Hits

311 has had a lot of success in the span of time that this album covers and it is nice to see a Greatest Hits album. And they stick to the title of the track, they are the songs that received radio play (some more than others) and it is not necessarily a "best of" 311. That being said, this is an enjoyable collection of songs that would be good for someone who has never really listened to 311 before. I think everybody has at least heard "Down", "Amber", "Love Song", and "All Mixed Up". But there are others on here that have a very accessable sound that were never that big of hits. This would include "Don't Stay Home", a rocker with melodic singing and a fast rapping break down, "Do You Right", which is an early 311 single with a very nice chill vibe, and "Homebrew", which is a hard hittin' rap/rocker that always rocks the house at live concerts. 311 did a good job of releasing singles that showed their different styles. There are both hard rockers and mellow grooves. I do not know why they didn't include "Prisoner", which is an awesome track that was a single off of Transistor. The two new songs are also a nice display of the different sides of 311. "How Do You Feel?" has a nice hard rock sound with S.A. rapping, it kind of has a Blue Album (self titled) feel to it at those parts. Then Nick comes in singing that escalates into a soaring chorus. "First Straw" is more of the sunny styled 311 that they've become known for. Very nice instrumentation, such as the use of accoustic guitars for the chorus and very nice guitar break in the post chorus, and also some nice vocal backround harmonizes in a Beach Boys style during the verses. So while there may be a LOT more songs that are "better" than these radio singles (at least in my opinion), this is still a nice collection of songs with a couple of new tracks.

- The Color of 311 energy is bright yellow!

oh man these songs bring back memories surfing on the beach kickin back i love the songs. amber, beautiful disaster, all mixed up,come original, down, you wouldnt believe. 311 rocks i miss these types of groups now a days where is the good stuff!!!!!

- Read This

311 has got some serious skill... The beautiful combination of reggae and rock put together to make a harmonic blend of sound that is so pleasing to the human ear, it'll make you come crawling back, begging for more. And if this review wasn't enough to convince you...Well, I guess you'd miss out. Big time...

- Awsome

This is my favorite album of time!

- Obiously their best except hey you..........

There all good depending on what type of music you like I bought (or would get): 1. Down-heavy rock and food upbeat song 2.Come orignal-very catchy and good mix of raggae and rock 4.Creatures (for a while)-starts out quiet then the heavy gutiar riffs blow you away 5.Beatiful disaster-good beat and good gutiar one of their best 6.Flowing-Very catchy and great beat and proably 311 at their best 7.Homebrew-Fast and hard to follow with the song because he is talking so fast 8.You wouldn't believe- good tune not their best though 9.I'll be here for awhile-a nice lazy song that has a soft and soomting sond to it 10.Amber-good there best ok song. 11.Love song-a re-do from the cure but is 20xs better 12.freak out-not on here but should be 13. the rest are all sort of 311s bad good songs
