- GOOD ALBUM

ITS BEEN A WHILE SINCE I BOUGHT A GOOD HIP HOP ALBUM. MAN IM JUST WAITING FOR BLACK STAR. BUT YEAH THIS ALBUM IS REALLY WORTHED EVERY DOLLAR. THE FAKE IS FADING.. DONT DUMB YOUR SELF WITH THAT OTHER CRAP OUT THERE.

- Talib Kweli is the TRUTH!

This is hands down the best album I've purchased so far this year. I thought Kanye was good, this is better. Talib has never been recognized in the mainstream but he should be. He deserves that money. I am not even a huge hip hop head and I love every song on this one. This is the album..you will not download this and feel like you've wasted your money...I don't normally pay more that $9.99 an album this was $11.99 and I think it was worth every cent.

- Leave It To Talib When You Need Quality Delivered.

Bringin' back REAL Hip-Hop.

- Hot!

This album is a classic! This album is intelligent, mature and thought provoking. Definitely not the garbage most artist are putting out today.

- BEST MC IN THE UNIVERSE

Name one better.

- This is where its supposed to be

This is a real MC right here. he has some other songs that are better buti would still reccomend buying this cd

- Savior...

When I first heard Talib Kweli I was amazed. At first I wasn't a big fan of rap because all I heard was horrible radio crap like Soulja Boy and whatever else. In my opinion I think it's artists like Talib, Common, and Mos Def that are ressurecting hip-hop bit by bit and this album just keeps giving.

- real hip hop

Im 31 and I grew up listening to underground rap from the likes of trendz of culture, redman, odd squad, SOM, blackmoon, TCQ , etc. Real hip hop is about life stories fortold into lyrical content. This album is not for you ice grill, flashy, i got paper type, pass the patron B>>>S, soldier deeezzzz, crank dis yap yap nonsence heads!!!! TRUE hip hop kids, WHAT you know about it? This album is too complex for you radio heads. Talibs ablum is an awakening for the ol hip hop fans who have been yearning for some real music in 2007. WORD UP!!!

- Lyrics are golden

First off, the i tunes review on most of Kweli's albums dont do them justice, which leads to the belief that the i tunes reviewer is just an idiot, make ure own decsion. I personally think the album is bomb.

- Best work in years

I have purchased all of Kweli's previous albums and i have to say that this is the best since "Reflections Eternal". To be honest, i've only gotten to Track 15 but this album is the truth. No gimmics, no cheesy corporate colabs with popular artist, all the colaborations are organic. Stand-outs: Tracks 5, 8, and 15. Hip-hop is not dead. Thank you, Talib.

- The old Talib

I dont like saying that the old Talib is back, because i like to think that people are constantly trying to better themselves and not looking to the past. When i say the old Talib im referring to the style of delivery. I think he took it back to the lyrics and not so much the production. Dont get me wrong the production is good, but im really feeling his lyrics on this album. I certainly think this album is a keeper and every track gets played. I highly recommend this CD for anyone that is into Hip Hop

- Good, But Not One Of The Best

Talib brought it on lyrically. I was very impressed at what he was able to do. Great collaboration with UGK on Country Cousins, Give 'Em Hell was a great poem on Def Jam, and was put in song form pretty well. I loved Hot Thing. Very nice on the ears to hear some soothing lyrics on a relaxing beat. Kudos to Talib and Will.i.am. In the Mood was cool, but needed a couple more samples. The Perfect Beat was bumping. KRS is still alive?!?! Finally, Listen!! was amazing and is still surreal. Nix the bonus tracks, they were disgusting. And the production was flimsy mostly, especially for Hi Tek.

- "You're Everything Man"

I've Been Waiting On This Album Ever Since I Heard "Listen!". And I Have To Tell You It Was Worth The Wait. Talib Comes Harder And Better Than Ever On This Hip-Hop Classic. I Simply Love Everything About This Album From The Production, The Guest And Just Everything About It. Talib Works With Just About Any And Everybody On This Album From Kanye To Norah Jones To Even Justin Timberlake!! And Madlib, Pete Rock, Will.I.Am. And Kanye West Are Amazing On The Beats. Check It Out Now!!! And Definitely Check Out The Track With Norah Jones Called "Soon The New Day". The Whole Song Is Just A Classic. It's #1 On My Top 25 Most Played Playlist. Clocking In At 76 Plays!!! So That Should Tell You Right There This Is An Amazing Album. Check It Out!!

- Thank you

Talib is one of the few rappers who still focuses on good music. None of that Soulja boy crap! Best tracks:Hostile Gospel Pt 1, More or Less, Soon The New Day, What am I saying all tracks are good Thank you.

- By far the most COMPLETE Hiphop album this year,

The rhymes, beast, complexity are all here. Shame on the FM radio djs playing the whack. Hey, I'll keep it moving with my iPod. Keep handlin you thangs, Kweli.

- firee nucaaa

This album is straight fire...you would be a fool if you didn't cop it..honesty

- HIP HOP CLASSIC! Must Have!

This is a great album from start to finish. Talib is so confortable on the beat and the production is outstanding. And over 20 songs...ALL CRACK!!!!!! I think hes matured so well and has become a a great song writer. Great choice of beats and appearences. Some of my favorites are Everything Man, NY Weather Report, Eat to Live, Soon the New Day, and the Nature, Give Em Hell, just buy all the songs for that matter. Im glad hip hop is still alive and artist like Talib bring so much to the game.

- One Word.

Unreal.

- Jay Said it Best

You know your good when you have Jay-z saying.. "If skills sold truth be told, i'd probably be, lyrically, Talib Kweli" Talib is one of the most underrated rappers of all time, along with.. common sense xzibit and lupe fiasco. This album is a MUST BUY for anyone who likes hip-hop, not just rap, hip-hop. There is a difference.

- Talib Kweli - Ear Drum

Alternative hip-hopper Talib Kweli doesn't rap about cars, money or women. He produces quality music with lyrics that bring out his own truth and not the reflection of the mainstream. From the social critique of "Eat to Live" to a plea for deliverance in "Hostile Gospel Pt. 1," Kweli's album asks real questions and seeks honest answers.

- Pure Hip Hop!!

A 5 star quality album! This is...Hip-Hop.

- You Feel That? It's Your Soul Resonating.

This album makes you wonder if the industry will finally acknowledge Talib or if their holding him back, because his lyrics are so true? Talib proves his dexterity with lyrical rhythms that sync with your soul, register with the inner conflicts of our society as a whole and strive to prove that hip-hop is more than a musical revolution, it's a call for society to wake up and live for its soul and creative thinking instead of base, cultural standards that cripple the individual. Check out "Hostile Gospel, Pt 1," "Holy Moly," "Give 'Em Hell," "More or Less" and "The Perfect Beat" for starters, but the album when listened to in its entirety sprawls across Talib's mind, shedding light on his complexities, anxieties and how aware he is as an artist of the American human condition and the sad state in which our country exists.

- Ladies and Gentlemen a round of applause please for Real Hip Hop.

Pure fiyah. Welcome back Hip Hop we missed you!! If you are tired of the snap music, gun talking, ain't saying S%* music. Then this is the album for you. Talib has done it once again, every track is a true experience. Thank you Talib for keeping it true to Hip Hop.

- Reflection Eternal

If your a head than you knew about talib long before he was talked about by Jay-z, and you know that kweli has more than 3 albums. This album has some good tracks on it, much like quality and beautiful struggle did, however none of these are complete albums. This album is the closest he has gotten to a complete album since the struggle, but he still hasnt hit it like he did back in the day with hi-tek. If you like talib, i take that back if you like hip hop check this album out after you check out reflection eternal

- Buy This Now!

This is a must have. This album has a great balance of production and lyrics.

- sickkkkk

this album is great talib is one of the best rappers out there. A song with mos def would have been nice because there a grat colaberation but oh well 5 stars, check out Go With Us great track

- Hip Hop Kwelity for your Eardrum

This is my album of the year (Bannanas!!!!), by far this is Talib greatest work. Plus, he continues to be Talib and deliver that fire like he has on his previous 5 albums (Reflection Eternal,Quality, Beautiful Struggle, Right About Now and Liberation) but with more fuel this time around and not deviate from his format which continues to make him one of my favorite MC's. This is a must have album, Classic material for my True Hip Hop Heads!!!!!!!

- ok

not as good as his last album but still pretty good

- the proud

breh ive been rockin talib kweli since blackstar and reflection eternal dayz, with TK shirts and MOS TALIB hats, and he has never come in as deep to me as he has here. the beats suit him well, and they let him go off beat as much as he wants without really messing up the song. its a good mainstream album as well( which i dont hav any problem with). It feels like a mix between the beautiful struggle and quality, and it works real well. everything man really brings me back to the "love language" days, and the chorus to oh my stars is just crazy as hell. perfect beat brings spitters from both rappers, and stay around is an extremely catchy song. Ther are really no failures here, besides eat to live(a little too booring, i dig tha message tho) ny weather report (aint really feelin it sry) and soon the new day (NORAH JONES???) however, all of these songs serve their own purpose, and im glad they were on the cd Im out like j rich in oaktown!

- If you like this, check out Black Star

If you like Talib Kweli on this album, check him out in Black Star, made of him and Mos Def. That is definitely one of the sickest rap albums on itunes

- tired

it's got some spots, i'll give it that. But honestly it's tired. gets slow at times, a lot like kanye's albums... but hey, people love kanye. We need another Black Star record.

- album of the year

this is album of the year better than lupe common and kanye i like every song on this album these are the top 5 1. everything man 2. ny weather report 3. give em hell 4. listen 5. the perfect beat

- The Best Hip Hop Album In the Past Couple of Years

There is honestly not a weak track on the CD. Ive been through Kanye and Common's new joints but I keep coming back to this one. Fire Tracks: NY Weather Report, In The Mood, Give Em Hell, More or Less, THE PERFECT BEAT (single-worthy), Listen, Go With Us

- Hotness

My boy told me about this albumb and i was a little skeptical at first but y'know since u can buy on the fly wit itunes on the iphone i bought it and i've been bumping it ever since....In The Mood & Stay Around are the illest

- Bring back Black Star!

Mos and Kweli are only half voltron solo. Bring that beat back!

- Talib makes hip-hop vintage. A pure, raw classic.

His best album since he's come out. I can only think of one or two joints on this album that I skip past. Bangin' beats, and of course from Talib, solid rhymes. His guest appearances give great perfomances. The mix of radio-ready cuts and songs that reflect the best of his mix tape roots give this album a great balance, and all the while it stays true to the raw essence of the art. Finally, a masterpiece. With Common getting his respect due after so many years, and an album like this from Talib, it's refreshing to finally see real hip-hop on the rise again. My faves: 1. In the Mood 2. Hot Thing 3. Hostile Gospel. Pt. 1 4. Holy Moly 5. More or Less 6. Stay Around 7. Soon the New Day 8. Listen 9. NY Weather Report 10. Country Cousins This doesn't mean in this order, or that the other songs not on this list are weak. This is a must have. Thank God for real hip-hop.

- Best of 07

This is absolutely the best album of 2007. Lupe Fiasco's The Cool and Finding Forever are close but Talib Kweli's persistent, perceptive rhymes put this one at number one. The best songs on here are: Holy Moly, Hostile Gosple Pt. 1 (Deliver Us), Give 'Em Hell, and Soon the New Day. Kweli keeps coming with real music with real meaning.

- "If Skills Sold, Truth Be Told, I'd Probably Be Just As Rich & Famous As Jay-Z"

This Album Is a song short of a true classic, One of the best of 2007 and Kweli;s Best Solo Effort Yet. His Lyrics and subject matter have grown as he has. The production is top notch and Talib's Flow is different on every track. The only song that is kinda suspect is "The Perfect Beat" but after a few listens it grows on You. lassic must Buy!!!

- Siick

Some people say Talib Kweli's previous albums were "iller", "doper", "more underground", but I personally think Kweli maintains he's level of integrity to deliver pure truth and emotion from a the track "Listen" where he so passionately declares, "here's comes Talib Kweli and I'm bangin on your eardrum......I wanna tell you (Listen), it's for your spirit, LISTEN!" Then he brings it real with the track titled: Oh my Stars, about his little girl "Baby u a star, that's what u are to me, u know how I can tell? cuz u a part of me, Baby u a star..." You can hear and feel the real energy and truth behind his distinctive voice, which as a listener my EARDRUMS CRAVE! Another REAL SIICK track is NY Weather Report, along with HOT THING, Talib brings it real, raw and siick! This whole album is a reaffirmation to my generations addiction to HIP HOP and it still being alive as ever, we need to maintain this level of lyrical integrity in our hearts, minds and souls, I highly suggests if u were loosing faith in hip hop BUY this album it wont dissapoint U, I PROMISE! Either way if you still are a die heart hip hop fan of any style, whether mainstream or underground this is the REAL DEAL FAM! Peese and Hugs, Morah.ShaY

- Calm ..

This Album is what You get when you want good and calm music I would get it.

- the new heartbeat

listen to this album start to finish with no stopping and you will hear the magic talib kweli produces

- "Eardrum" but no "Right About Now"?

I Need "Right About Now" RIGHT ABOUT NOW! its the only album of Kweli's not here, please iTunes get it quick fast I am begging you guys to get Kweli's lost album.

- Talib is the man

What more can I say

- Talib Kweli

I found a lot of the tracks sub par like "Hot Thing", but I love "NY Weather Report", "Listen!" and some others. I give him 5 stars for the mixtape material (Blacksmith & Liberation) cause there were some great tracks there too (for free)

- acually 4 1/2 top five album of the year

this cd is soooo good along with Graduation and a couple others this is the best i love the lyrics and beats he has the perfect guest list 2

- "Kwelity"

This album is the definition of what hip hop should be. Talib Kweli shines with his lyrical ability and unique style. The lyrics are intelligent and make you think. Pretty much all of the songs require multiple listens to get a real feel for them. Track by track rating: Everything Man: 5/5 NY Weather Report: 4/5 Hostile Gospel Pt. 1: 5/5 (best song on the album) Say Something: 4/5 Country Cousins: 4/5 Holy Moly: 5/5 Eat to Live: 3/5 In the Mood: 4/5 Soon the New Day: 5/5 Give 'Em Hell: 5/5 More or Less: 5/5 Stay Around: 4/5 Hot Thing: 4/5 Space Fruit: 2.5/5 The Perfect Beat: 4/5 Oh My Stars: 4/5 Listen!!!: 4/5 Go With Us: 4/5 Hostile Gospel Pt. 2: 5/5 The Nature: 5/5

- Good in my Eardrum

ok so this album and talib kweli himself or hott. This album really shows his capability and how good of a lyricist he is. In my opinion some of the songs were a little to poppy. But other tracks were tight. Talib is his own genre. Hardly anyone these days still spin records on there tracks well. I dig it. He also just raps and doesnt have those poopy chorus lines. Mos Def worth buying

- Eardrum

i didn't know what to expect out of this album. i didn't think it would be as good compared to Talib Kweli's previous albums, after listening to it a couple times i realized... This is the best CD of 2007! i really saw it better than Kweli's previous albums. Every true Kweli fan and escpecially true Hip Hop fans should have this album. it's classic!

- BAD

BAD VOICE

- Listen to the Real Hip-Hop

Great album! I urge it to everyone that loves Hip-Hop with a meaning; also, I recommend listening to his other albums including the mix-tapes.
