All of the songs were good, but a few were stand out like: You Don't Know Me, Hood N****, Money Man (the next single), Take Your Shoes Off, Battle Field, and Do Something (a great intro, fits the album great). This album isn't as good as soon bomb albums of the summer like T.I. but is still off the chain enough to get 4 stars. It is also much better than Yung Joc's! Buy this album, you won't be disapointed.
gnarly
um nope
Give it up for the newest rapper outta ATL, bustin through with a sick flow and insane beats. Great addition to Bad Boy Records. This album is definately worth the buy.
this is th ebest atlanta album to come out in a while. gorilla zoe's voice is what makes him so good, but this album still isnt as good as Ultimate Victory but still a great debut album. I also like the ice cube look for the cd cover
this is a great cd its some new songs, some grrat beats, and some good guest apearences
A great first single Hood Figga, and he had Coffee shop with Yung Joc. I can't wait to see what he does next
songs are: 1. Battle Field 2. Money Man 3. Hood N**** 4. Money Up 5. Tryna Make a Jug
its ok i guess....... i thought Zoe could do better though.....o well if u agree press yes
This Is Gorilla Zoe's Introduction Album Witch Means It's His First. He Has Had Some Other Albums With Boyz N Da Hood. This Song Has 2 Good Singles. The First One Is "Hood Figga". The Second One Is "You Dont Know Me". The Album Is Very Good. He Had Some Trouble With The Beats. The Beats Are Good Although His Lyrics Were Amazing. He Knows How Too Rap And He Had Some Great Rhymes Too. I'd Say He Is Way Better Without Boyz N Da Hood. His Album Has Some Good Songs. "Money Man" Was A Pretty Good Song. I Suggest You Listen Too All The Tracks Before You Buy It. There Not All Very Good They Got Atleast 8 Of Them That Are Good. MTV.COM
this is the worst attempt at rap i have ever heard..... take ur shoes off, relax and quit rap.... please
Gorilla Zoe droppin his first album. Its got some nice beats and some nice flow, some nice people featured. All his songs sound the same tho. Idk ya it is pretty good.
great debut album from zoe and i expect some big things from him
this is what i expected from ZOE the album is not bad i would recommend it i was wait for his album to drop and i like it
The lyrics are juvenile, the beats are dated and even the cover art makes me chuckle. How unbelievably small and arrogant. I bet his mama is very proud.
This Album is off the hook
Gorilla Zoe is going to be big. its nice to see someone still holdin it down in the rap game, rappers like Zoe are going to keep rap alive, while people like hurricane chris kill it. This whole album is good good beats and great lyrics.
of course...real stoooopid
Most of the Songs are really good, but there are some that just don't make the cut. Still it's worth the 9.99
I love "Hood Figga", but everything else is not very good. Definitely too much cursing!!!!! If an artist curses TOO much, then it just ruins the songs. I just listened to samples for like 5- 10 seconds each and each sample had at least 2 curse words!!
Atlanta bred MC, Gorilla Zoe is the newest member of Boyz N Da Hood. With Back Up N Da Chevy arriving next week, Gorilla releases his solo debut a week before. Very similar to how Young Jeezy did with his debut album, Thug Motivation 101 released a month after BNDH's debut. Anyway, here is Bad Boy South/Block Ent.'s Gorilla Zoe did. Do Something: Drumma Boy handles the menacing production with heavy bass, claps and banger feel. Gorilla has a decent hook of haters that talk a whole bunch but don't do anything. 3/5 Hood N***a: The lead single, Chris Flame & Dee Jay Dana create a great production with a playful flute line. Zoe's flow is smooth on this, and the hook is what really catches you. This definitely a club banger. 4/5 Money Man: Catchy hook with repetitive "Money Man" every few seconds, the synth line is a simple rising and falling that was okay. Production was decent, decent track about gettin money. 3/5 Tryna Make A Jug: Fatboi's trumpets and synth line are exectuted well here, and the feel of the track is great. Big Gee adds a solid appearance and this is a better club cut. 3.5/5 Crack Muzik: Boyz N Da Hood member Jody Breeze, adds a catchy hook over spaced out production. Decent production. 3/5 Battle Field: Block's electronic voice on the hook works well with the intense and dramatic production. BZNDH member Big Gee makes another appearance on this solid street cut about street war. 3.5/5 Take Your Shoes Off: Yung Joc handles the hook, it was decent over a repetitive little synth line. Joc's verse wasn't bad, and Zoe sounds good here. 3.5/5 I Know: Zoe talks about how hatas wanna see him fail and he knows. A lot slower than the other tracks, that is more don't care about ya hatas than gettin at them. 3/5 Count On Me: JC's hook is about gettin that money and how you can count on them to get it. Jody Breeze makes another guest appearance, sounding much more at home on this. Solid track. Production was nicely done. 3.5/5 Real Motherf***ers: Boyz N Da Hood get together on this menacing slow drawled hook, over hard hitting synth lines. 3/5 Juice Box: Joc has a decent appearance, the hook was a simple and got a little repetitive. Decent cut. 3/5 Money Up: Club banger here that has a quick talking Zoe in celebratory mood. Good club track. 3.5/5 You Don't Know Me: Danity Kane's D. Woods adds smoothness to the track, great production and this is the typical love track. Nicely done, as Zoe's gruff voice is toned down by Woods' singing. 4/5 Lil Shawty: Similar production to "Do Something", it was decent. A street banger that has a catchy hook and simple lines. 3/5 Last Time I Checked: Sha Money XL's lurking and dark production works well here. Zoe talks about how last time he checked he thought that there were hoods, but no rappers live there. Solid ender. 3.5/5 Overall Gorilla Zoe does a decent job. "Hood N***a" is definitely the gem of the album. Most of the tracks contain catchy hooks, typical gangsta talk. Zoe has a very distinct voice with his gruff voice and is similar to Young Jeezy. Raspy, slo mo, except Zoe isn't as likeable. So this is pretty much an album filled with street bangers and club tracks, that will satisfy the streets. Decent debut. Rating: 6.5 out of 10
I can listen to this entire CD. Rare for me
gorilla zoe is raw and this album is the truth take ya shoes off and Do it are the 2 best songs ye
i originally bought this cd from the store, and i popped it in, and it bumps hard. wow, leave it to the south to make a cd that you can cruise and listen to.to me, there is more to listen to than hustlenomics
Just like Young Dro is the alternate to T.I., Zoe is the alternate to Yung Joc. I believe Zoe has alot of potential and has skills with lyrics. When I heard Hood Figga, I couldn't stop listening, it was a good track. And now, Welcome to the Zoo, his debut CD, has hard-hitting beats and then those slow old~schoolish beats with his lyrical skills to add. Reccomended Tracks: 1. Hood N**** 2. Money Man 3. Tryna Make a Jug 4. Battle Field 5. Take Your Shoes Off 6. Count On Me 7. Real Mother**** 8. Juice Box 9. You Don't Know Me 10. Lil' Shawty( favorite track ) New Member to Boyz N Da Hood hit it big with this album.
Zoe did it well here on this album. Most of the songs are really good at least so go cop this album!!
Best Song & Great Album
come on hood niga iz way better than soulja boy
Gorilla Zoe killed it on this album he has great beats and rhymes. def should be in your collection. check him out live he gets it poppin!!!
Decent album but he doesn't seem any different from anybody else.
ahzumm
there are some really good songs on here, but i feel like most of the time on the album was put into Hood N****. With that song getting all the hype you want the rest of the CD to sounds like that song, but its quite diverse. Its a good CD but if you are looking for everything to be exactly like that song, you in for a shock, if you want a change of pace, go for it.
damn theres only three songs i dont like on this cd. thats pretty good for his first cd!
Dat gorilla zoe album be off the chain!! All his new cuts...Money Man, Lil Shawty, Count on Me, and juice box all be off the hook...buy dis album quick!
Not so hot... all the beats are weak!
His songs are normal, nothing new. I think that he is just trying to be somebody and thats not working out for him. He better stop while he is ahead
Block ENT & Bad Boy Records did the right job signing Gorilla Zoe. This is one the b est Debut albums of the year. Do Something - 5 of 5. Hood N**** - 5 of 5. Money Man - 5 of 5. Tryna Make a Jug - 4 of 5. C**** Muzik - 4 of 5. Battle Field - 5 of 5. Take Your Shoes Off - 4 of 5. I Know - 4 of 5. Count On Me - 4 of 5. Real Mother**** - 5 of 5. Juice Box - 5 of 5. Money Up - 6 of 5 Best Track. You Don't Know Me - 4 of 5. Lil Shawty - 4 of 5. Last Time I Checked - 4 of 5
its gangsta rap at its finest, sorta. i thoght it would have potential and i was both wrong and right. Hes got some good beats and some nice rhymes. I bought this mainly for Hood N**** and for the 2 songs Yung Joc is on but the rest of the cd is just meh at best
this cd is dope
this album is better than jocs, but not as hot as TI VS TIP
This album is flipping sweet!
Good
Gorilla Zoe keeps it so hood..'Hood N****' and 'Battle Field' are the best songs by far...'Juice Box' is cool too...

When is the garbage lyrics trend going to stop? #$%$ this and *$#&@ that. Grow up. "Oh but I'm tryin to write lyrics my thug fans can relate to..." And then you get mad when they all call you N****. Oh, and by the way. Your album cover makes me laugh my a** off. You think you look tough? You look like your dropping a duece.
