one_alone - Pretty Good Debut from J-LoI never heard this album until it appeared [on the iTunes store] a few days after Brave came out. This is a pretty good start. With If You Had My Love as the opener, it shows the prime basis of this album, late 90's pop. Should've Never is a classy balad to tune it down. Too Late sounds like Alicia Keys, maybe an influence on her later. Feelin' So Good is a lite dance track that starts a momentum again. Let's Get Loud is by far the best song, an energetic sample possibly from broadway. Could This Be Love shows her vocals powerfully. No Me Ames (Tropical Remix) is a good reggae track offering variety to the album with it being spanish. Waiting for tonight is a great pumped dance track. Open Off My Love sounds like something Brandy or Monica might've put out around that time, a cute pop song. Promise Me You'll Try glides by slowly on typical 90's ballad beats, slowing down the album. It's Not That Serious is another fairly slow-paced song, a more mature side. Talk About Us is another beautiful vocal. No Me Ames (Ballad Version) is a much softer version of the tropical remix on this album. Una Noche Mas is the spanish version of Waiting For Tonight. Baila is another dance track in spanish. Do You Know Where You're Going To is a nice soulful closing on a great album by J-Lo.

PROMO_MUSIC_PLUS - EXCELLENT AT THE TIME....JENNIFER LOPEZ is fascinating to me. She may be mediocre at most of the things she does these days but there's always a part of her that interested me musically. This CD is why. It is Excellent as of 1999's standards. Would it sell today? I dunno....but it's definitely a classic. Jennifer blends latin flavor and her accent here with a modern pop/r&b sound. This sound is what established her and it's what you don't see in her music anymore. THIS IS PROBABLY HER BEST ALBUM out of all 5 she's released including 2007's "BRAVE". I would highly recommend this CD. It's sexy slow r&b/pop that works at a party. It just works.

Music was next a venture that not since " On the 6" her debut has shined the fact she can actually do both. Shes not madonna and certaintly not Janet Jackson shes " JLO" a brand that materialized after scoring a # 1 single " if you had my love" and dance fav and in my opinion her best track ever " Waiting For Tonight" . On the 6 is everything a debut album lacks today fresh and yet safe tracks . Producer Rooney played to jennifers strenghts and made her spanish bravura shine and shimmer quite eloquently . Duet with then friend Marc Anthony " No Me Ames" is a gem in itself that just proves to be more or less a testament to where jennifer was heading. Def. Jennifers best album before trying to emulate the whole R&B genre. BUY IT its Great !!!
