The Dave Matthews Band was selected as the annual summer concert artist at Boston's historic Fenway Park, and the band's well-known performance chops mesh well with the special atmosphere at the show. With an excellent run-through of hits and fan favorites, old and new, both set lists contain outstanding song choices and offer a good restrospective of DMB's career to this point. From the ever-popular traditional live staple of the "Dancing Nancies"/"Warehouse" combination on Night 2, to the raw energy and new life breathed into 2006's "Smooth Rider" on Night 1, Dave and the crew do an excellent job with nearly all the repetoire. Highlights abound, but perhaps none moreso than the new material from the 2006 tour. Released for the first time here, the trio of "The Idea of You", "Can't Stop", and "Break Free" are absolutely essential to any Dave Matthews fan's collection. "Break Free" shines in particular, with Carter's triplets exiting each chorus and an instrumental outro that will amaze even the most experienced DMB listener. Special guest Rashawn Ross lends his superior trumpet skills to this song, as he does most of both nights' sets, and it is simply a treat to hear. The sound quality is excellent and focuses on the musicians; very little crowd noise can be heard, even during the special rendition of Fenway singalong staple "Sweet Caroline". I purchased this album digitally over a year ago for over $22 online, so the $10.99 price at iTunes is an absolute steal. While not essential, this album is an extremely enjoyable listen and should please purists and new fans alike. Highly recommended.

Can't express how excited I am to see the Live Trax coming to itunes. This makes it much easier to get some of the best shows from DMB. You can't go wrong with the Fenway Show.

The best tracks on this album, which consists of two full nights of performances, are the ones that you only get with the whole album purchase: Bartender (best version of this song DMB has recorded), The last Stop, and Jimi Thing (hear Rashawn Ross go off on the trumpet and Butch Taylor jazz-up on keyboards). Plus, DMB's shows are really best appreciated in their entirety. I rate this as the second best live album by DMB, after Central Park and with Las Vegas (not released on iTunes) a close third. I've not yet heard the Piedmont Park album.

This is by far the best value I've every seen on iTunes! 38 songs, almost 5 hours of great music for $11!!!! Songs are great, band is great!

I was at these shows and it was nasty. Sweet Caroline was a great crowd pleaser and this version of Last Stop is badass with a great horn ending. This show also features a killer Don't Drink the Water. This is also the only place you'll find an official version of the unreleased song BReak Free

Having been at this show I know how great it was but for those who were not there this is the closest thing you can get. It was a great show and it makes a great live tracks cd too.

this is by far the best livetrax out and probably the best dmb live cd out in running with central park and piedmont park but the idea of you and break free are great, tehy make the cd by themselvesand the two step is great too, and all this for a bargin at 10.99 for 38 songs p.s. now only if we could get the rest of the live trax on here

What a set list. Could this show be any better. DMB + FENWAY = HEAVEN

DMB is unbelieveable. This album captures the energy, power and musicianship of seeing DMB live and WOW! The entire album just rips, from Matthews vocals to the screaming sax and violin solos to the thumping drums. The sound recording is flawless and emphasizes the band with a hint of the crowd response in the background as it should be. Listen on a good system and turn it up because there is no better band LIVE than DMB and this album proves it.

Iown almost all of the DMB live recordings, not counting the Live Trax( which I wish they would let iTunes sell), and this is harnds down mi favorite one. Dave shows that he can still write good material, like "In the Idea of You" and "Slow Rider." The band performs flawlessly throughout, which is no surprise, and setlist is fabulous. This album is a great addition to any DMB fan and a must have for those just starting to like the band.

When I decided to buy this album, I looked around to see if it was worth it. I listen to my iPod while I'm at work, and it's what gets me through an average day. I heard horrendous comments about this concert, and I can't back up a single one of them. I heard one comment that says that The Last Stop was sloppy! Well, then you obviously don't like the version on Before These Crouded Streets, because it's almost exactly the same! I heard that it's not good because Dave's voice is a bit off throughout. Obviously they don't appreaciate Dave's voice, because that's part of it's character. In fact, The Idea of You has an incredible high note that gives me the goosebumps every time. The mix is fine, people just don't know how to use EQ, that's all. The audience is just loud enough that you can hear their reactions when they really like something, but quiet enough that you can still hear all of the ambience of the Dave Matthews Band. I think that this album would be a great starter for any new DMB fan, it's got tons of favorites, a taste of things to come, and new versions of lots of old songs (Tripping Billies, Grace is Gone, Don't Drink the Water). I love this album. It's amazing. It doesn't lack at all. This is a good one... Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!

This is a steal for $11. I paid $30 for this when it went on pre-sale in 06. BUY THIS CD!!!

This is the best value of all the dmb live albums. Since it has 38 songs, its got pretty much every song you would want. Go ahead and buy it if you like dmb

this is their best live album. break free is one of my favorite dave songs that they really dont play too mush, hope to hear it in their next studio album!!!!!!

I bought this for A LOT more $ earlier this year on the website, so this is a STEAL!!!! for 10.99. 3 discs of music, and probably the best Don't Drink The Water ever!! Also, probably the best quality live release I had heard from DMB. (Until PiedmontPark was released.. . )

OU is better than LSU is a moron. DMB is worth every penny that you spend to buy albums as well as go to the shows!!!! These shows prove that.

I certainly prefer Dave Matthews Band live CDs to the studio ones, and this one has a lot of DMB favorites that cover the breadth of DMB songs. 38 quality songs for $11, can't beat that, and it's a great mix of DMB songs. The one complaint, if you can call it that, is that songs like Grace is Gone, Don't Drink the Water or Bartender are very very long, and I wish that they had separated the musical interludes from those tracks in a way similar to "Anyone Seen the Bridge?" so that when putting the songs into playlists you didn't need to listen to all 15 minutes of a 4 1/2 minute song.
