Why can't u complete the album at a discounted price if u already have a lot of the songs, awesome album besides that

I found I could go back to the artist and buy the songs I wanted with out buying the entire album.

I did not have most of these songs and the ones I have already purchased itunes excluded them and I did not have to pay for them. I also agree that if you click on any individual song from any artist that says album only it will take you to the origional album and you can buy the song you are looking for.. a couple extra steps but nothing to cry and whine about.

I want to download this, but there is way too much missing for me to want to download it. There is a lot of good music, but most of it is just #1's. I liked a lot of the underdogs. It also seemed like it was mushy love songs. Where's the punk, rock, r&b, and rap greats? Seems like it was heavily influenced by what we called "preps" in that era. I'll keep looking on.

By far not every song in the era that I grew up in, is in this collection but there are enough to make me move the mouse. And, the price really isn't bad because you have 40 songs total. Still, that's a bit of money for one click, so I hit the: Preview All. Be back in an hour or so and I'll give my verdict. ..........Ok, it's a great deal! Sure, you can put on Pandora but if you have a gympy internet or cell phone connection, the 80's are still with you! If you're a child of the Eighties like I am, Buy it, Play it and Own it forever! So why 4 stars? Apple. Pisssst! Apple, when people buy in bulk, they expect a DISCOUNT!

I really hate the NOW! series. I do. But I gotta admit, this is a great collection. I love 80s hits and this is a very good collection. I wouldn't mind buying it for $40, but I see why some people do if they already have most of the songs on this collection and just want some. Remember, that's not iTunes's fault, that's up to the record companies.

I purchased this download and watched the 80 songs transfer. When I connected it to iTunes and told it to transfer purchases from my iPhone it only transferred 37 songs. 43 of the songs did not actually download and apple support told me to download it again. No thanks.. I will not pay 39.99 to redownload songs that were never actually delivered.

Why is this a partial album? I want to buy the entire album. I sure wish that I was able to do that without having to battle each song individually. I love all these songs. What a tease! Additionally, I cannot even link to this album. :-/

Preview this collection. I like the fact that less familiar artists are being given their due for a better overall picture of the scene. This collection isn't cheap but it definitely brought back good memories and I think more than half the tracks are 80s classics and are worth owning.

I didn't get all 80, I was able to download 70. At $0.57 a song, you've no reason to complain!! Love it, love it, love it!!! Wahoo!!!

The ONLY reason I gave it two stars is because at LEAST Rebel Yell was 0.99 cents and was a single seller... which is funny because it is 1.29 on his greatest album collection. Why are you nickeling and diming us itunes!? Don't you understand there's more than just one method of getting these songs? Your forcing some of us to these methods, when we would gladly just buy the song we want. This is going to get very old and if this keeps recurring your going to loose a customer all together, and I'm sure I will not be the only one.

Shows off most of the 80's pop sounds, albeit w/o Madonna, Prince, MJ. Album only haters: Get a life. Click the button at top. You can get practically all of the songs individually. But if you have almost no 80's songs, this would be a great start.

great selection! I also have most of the songs in my library already so I searched for each song I wanted (that was album only) in the top right Search Store section--- so easy!

I give it 4 stars for being good quality recordings from the original bands. And I don`t blame iTunes one bit...it`s Sony/BMG and all their contractual red tape with bands/management/producers who creates the "album only" fiasco. Like said before, just seek out the original album where each song came, and you`ll find it.

This is the first compilation of 80's I have seen that has a great variety and the original artists. Now if I could find a metal mix this good!

ITunes would make a great deal more money....if they would quit the "Album Only" option. I would purchase quite a few of these songs, however I don't have $40.00 to purchase the entire album (and many many tunes are "Album Only"). Please take this into consideration for us in the future. Thanks.

I already thought 40 bucks was a steep price... and after reading all the reviews, I was really turned off. But you know what, I did it anyway, because a lot of the hits on here would be 1.29 or whatever (not 99 cents each) on the original albums. So really, even if just wanted 40 of the songs on this album... you're still paying the same amount of money. That's just how I see it.

what the heck is she doin on there , aint that a country singer , this list is far too incomplete for the exhorbiant price and wasnt put together very well as far a genres!

Overall this is a great compilation, but it is missing some notables like Madonna. But at 50 cents per song, you can't go wrong. Forty bucks may seem like much up front, but when was the last time you blew $40 on something that was gone in minutes? Think dinner out. You' ll have this collection for years. Stop thinking cost, think long term value!

After reading a few reviews and then looking over the track list, I really have to say that this is a decent collection of 80s tunes. Its a pretty diverse genre of music, and it seems there's definitely something here for everyone. I know there will always be someone who feels "this song" or "that song" should have been included, but hey - this is already a pretty extensive collection (80 songs total). Those things being said, it seems a little over-priced for songs that are no longer peaking in popularity. Also, I think it would have been better to break up a collection of these 80s classics into volumes of Pop, Rock, New Wave, R&B, etc. To sum up: A pretty good collection of tunes for the person seeking to build their 80s collection, even if it is a tad expensive.

Most of the songs here are great I wouldn't mind listening to them, but I would mind that price on the album. $39.99? maybe if they lowerd the price they would have better luck getting people to buy it. I mean its a great collection and all, but that much money?!?!? I might want to listen to some songs on the list, but I wouldn't want to buy the whole album. 2/5 = I'm not for it

This album is great! The best I've seen so far. The only problem is the price. Even though ur getting practically 80 songs for 40 dollars I think it should be cheeper. I also think that all of the songs should be available to purchase because they are all so great and I think more people would buy these songs.

Over 75 Eighties classics, properly mastered with the actual artists singing the songs for only $40? Yeah, I'd say that's a helluva deal. I'm usually not into the "Now..." serious, but this is a compilation too good to pass on. And for the whining trolls: save your negative comments for something more constructive, like creating a resume' for a job so you can find something other to do than moan and cry about nothing. You'll have to leave your parent's basement soon, so now's a good time to start.

All y'all that just wants to buy two or three songs on this album but the whole album and complains, why don't you just buy the songs that you like. You don't need to buy the whole album just to listen to those two songs. Common sense, people. Geez! Others than that, all the songs on this is awesome! Love love love!

Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 stars for not allowing single purchases, but again a nice collection to have rather I have the songs already or not.

If you like the songs that they are selling without the album but don't want to spend extra on the others, you should just buy the whole album, because after some number crunching I found out that all the songs you can buy separate total at approximately $38 making the other songs practically free!

You can buy almost all of the songs individually if you search for them and buy them off a different album, it's just limiting it from this album because that's what this particular publisher decided to do.

let me get this clear: I like the songs here. But why are they Album Only? Seriously iTunes; why do you bother doing this? Also, where are Madonna, Prince, Bon Jovi, U2, Eurythmics, Genesis, and the Police?
