- Once again a great

What can I say but AMAZING

- Love It or Leave It

Okay; so I'll be the one to ride the middle of the road here along with one other reviewer so far. I'll give this album the same rating as I did his debut. I just don't see this as a five star outing, but that's my opinion. For those of you on the Daughtry bandwagon then you'll give this sophomore effort nothing less. I like Daughtry and I think he has a great voice and I was really expecting him to break out and do something different on his second release since he had more control to do what he wanted. Yeah, I know, as one reviewer said, if it ain't broken don't fix it. But what's wrong with thinking out of the box, being edgy and getting out of that comfort zone to make a really great album. Overall, the album is good and each song is a catchy song if that's what you like. But, to be honest, each song sounds like the leftover's from his debut album that never made the cut. I'm not saying I don't like this as I have it in my mix, but I think he could have done so much more than just playing it safe and keeping it pretty generic and like his first album. I know, it's the record business and this sells, but I was looking for more originality on this release as compared to the first release with the record company more in control. I don't have any favorites here yet although the opening track does open up great so I thought I was in for a nice surprise, but then track two opened up and it really wasn't a surprise any longer. No offense to any die hard Daughtry fan out there, but I was just expecting better. I won't repeat step by step each song as other reviewer's already have done that. With all that said, if you like Daughtry's first release then you'll be sure to love this release without even leaving your town.

- Another HUGE album!!

I have been hoping that he could duplicate his successes from his first album. This one is sure not to dissapoint! It has a little of everything.....Tennessee Line is a must listen!! I have a feeling we will be hearing more and more of his songs on the radio!

- Awesome Awesome Album

LEAVE THIS TOWN ALBUM REVIEW You dont belong: 4.5/5 this is a really good song and the hardest on the whole album and tied for my favorite No surprise- 4/5 everyones heard this song ALOT and sometimes it gets tiring to hear it but the hard copy of this album does have an extra verse that makes the song flow smoother Everytime you turn around- 4.5/5 again, really good song just not my most favorite. It really shows the band's evolution of their sound Life after you- 3/5 my least favorite song on the album; the chorus just sounds off and its a pretty weak song until towards the end. Honestly I wish they hadn't put on the album, there are better ones that were recorded but not put on here. What I meant to say- 4.5/5 another really strong song from these guys with some pretty sweet guitar parts and solo Open up your eyes- 1 million/10 my most favorite song on this whole albun. The lyrics are just absolutely beautiful to listen to. This is the song that caught my attention the most during my first listen through. Best song on the whole album. You can really sense the emotion that Chris puts into the vocals. He is telling an emotional story and it's great. My most favorite DAUGHTRY SONG PERIOD September- 4.5/5 really beautiful softer song with good lyrics. This is the type of song that proves it doesnt have to be hard rocking to be good. The line leave this town also's here. Good song Ghost of me- 4.5/5 really good harder rocking DAUGHTRY song, one of their best harder songs. Really good song lyrics and also shows their progressing sound Learn my lesson- 4/5 really good song its softer but its still pure daughtry. Its kinda as soft as Feels like tonight and What about now from their first album. Theres a sweet solo in it to Supernatural- 4.5/5 another really good song with a catchy beat and a guitar riff that will get stuck in your head to the point you want to listen to it over again Tennessee line- 4.5/5 actually one of my favorite songs on here. Its got a really different, country-like sound to it. And plus its got Vince Gill singing backup vocals which gives it an extra country twang that it already had especially with the violins. And its got good lyrics I wouldn't be surprised to hear this on country radio Call your name- 4.5/5 this song starts out really slow and soft and you keep waiting for it to take off, and then it does, and let me tell you, its so worth it. Chris really shows off his softer range in this song and then in the latter half belts his voice out to some really hard music and then ends what is really what an epic rock song should be. Bonus songs: What have we become- 4.5/5 i cant believe this wasnt on the real album and just as a bonus track which thank goodness we can buy, its awesome. My favorite of the two bonus tracks On the inside- 4/5 the weaker of the two bonus tracks but its still good enough. Another soft song. Still recemend buying both bonus tracks Traffic light (pre-order only)- 4.5/5 havent listened to this one as much but its still pretty good and personally I think its better than on the inside so if you didnt pre-order the album, tough luck, you're missing out on a good DAUGHTRY song Leave this town album review final score: 10/10 5/5 whatever. Perfect This is surely going to be a contender for album of the year and be even more popular than DAUGHTRY'S debut album by a longshot. BUY THE WHOLE THING!!!!!!!! Oh and another thing: I'm tired of people saying all the songs sound alike bcuz THEY DON'T!!!!!!!!! And they don't sound like nickelback either. Screw all you cynical arrogant hatrers. 

- Awsome!

If you loved the original album, you are going to LOVE this one!

- Buy this album right now!!!!

I was just looking through, and i thought of a song of daughtry, then i looked through this album it is absolutely AMAZING. One of their best albums yet, and i cant wait ti see what they come out with next. DAUGHTRY you rock, so please but this album if you love any type of music because this one is the one for you.

- It's no surprise...

It's No Surprise that Daughtry STILL rocks. I personally like this album better than their previous album, because this offers more depth. As for individual songs, here's a list. 1. You Don't Belong: A great song to start the album off with. More upbeat. 5/5 2. No Surprise: Excelent single. Great beat. Good lyrics. 5/5 3. Every time You Turn Around: Another upbeat, high octane song, with great gutair. 5/5 4. Life after you: A slower song, but still very catchy. 5/5 5. What I meant to say: Good beat, the lyrics really stand out. 5/5 6. Open Up Your Eyes: Good beat, again good lyrics. Too slow for my taste though. 4/5 7. September: Another slow song, but not too slow. Still good lyrics. 5/5 8. Ghost of Me: High octane. Harder rock, but still recognizable as Daughtry. 9. Learn My lesson: Good lyrics. Good speed, not too fast or slow. 5/5 10. Supernatural: Slow tempo, but still good. 5/5 11. Tennessee Line: Slow, delving into country genre. 4/5 12. Call Your Name: Starts very slow, but picks up a ton at the end. 5/5 Overall an awesome album, one of my new favorites.

- Greater range, good quality

After listening three times, I’ve found most of the songs on Leave This Town grew on me with each listening. Ith as the distinctive Daughtry sound with the growling guitars and the deep rock voices, the anger and the failed-love type song. You expected that, but I’m going to say those (including “You Don’t Belong” and “What I Meant To Say”) are some of the weakest songs on the album in terms of lyric complexity and the ability to hold interest. In this album, he branches out and takes chances with songs like “Tennessee Line” and “Call Your Name” which have a different, pensive, yearning feel. “Open Up Your Eyes” has complex, sad lyrics that aren’t easily pigeonholed. "Traffic Light" is powerful and very human. Overall, I find this album has a better mix of song types than the first, but the irony is that this may make it less of a commercial success. I can’t easily pick out which songs will become hits. His best songs on this album (”Call Your Name,” “Tennessee Line” and “Open Up Your Eyes”) aren’t going to be the ear-catchers that make up most radio listening. If you enjoyed Daughtry’s first album, or the songs that made it to the air the first time, I would recommend Leave This Town.

- Album Review

A solid sophmore album from the boys 1. You Don't Belong 9/10- A great heavy opening to an album. Heavier than most of their other stuff, but a solid strong kick a*s rock song. 2. No Suprise 7/10- After you hear it a billion times on the radio it kinda dies. The song itself is not the strongest on the album 3. Every Time You Turn Around 7/10- It's alright, gets kinda old towards the end but its a solid pop song 4. Life After You 8/10- This song will quickly be sucked into the radio mainstream. But at the moment it's catchy and powerful lyrics that send a nice message about a broken heart. 5. What I Meant to Say 8/10- A nice rocker, not as poppy as the other tunes which is good. 6. Open Up Your Eyes 8/10 - Pretty good, the organ makes it a little cheesy but other than that its a good soulful song. 7. September 9/10- The boys slow it down here, which is good. The song itself is charming and sweet, they could of worked it a little more and thrown some different sounds and guitar licks in there, but all in all an awesome song. 8. Ghost of Me 6/10- The weakest track on the album, although it is trying to return back to the hard rock formula, it falls flat. The song is pretty bland and boring and doesn't really make any sense lyric wise... 9. Learn My Lesson 7/10- Better than Ghost of Me but still weak. The song is again cheesy and feels like the boys took a step back instead of a step forward. this song feels like it should be with the New Kids On The Block. It might be sucked up by the radios because of the bland poppy beat that was on their last album 10. Supernatural 7.5/10- Close but no cigar. This track has a strong melody but it just doesn't make that final push to make it a great song. You listen to the track expecting something big and bold to happen but it just doesn't succeed. It isn't a terrible song however. 11. Tennesse Line 9/10- A very strong ballad. Very different attitude then the rest of the album, which shows the boys maturity and ability to write more than just girls and heartbreaks. Good job laddies this song takes the cake. 12. Call Your Name 8/10- Alright, lets face it, Chris's soprano is not strong at all. However this is a beautiful song and is a gracious way to end a solid rockin album. The ballad is nice and calm until the last 5 seconds which leaves you with the feeling of wanting more. A lovely way to end an album Overall 8/10- This album is a rollar coaster, with the bad songs being bad and the good songs being amazing this album is far from a sophtmore slump and gives the band many directions to take their music.

- Even better than the first album!

Daughtry stays true to the rock genre in this new album. If you liked the first one, you'll love this one! No disappointments here!

- Daughtry's done it again

U rock Daughtry!!! buy this cd it is worth the money! great songs, great music! Daughtry, ur the best band ever!!

- That guy's wrong

Hey Daughtrys songs don't sound like Theory of a Deadmans songs. I listen to both of them a lot and they don't even sound alike. I think this guy is just looking for similarities and can't find them so he's tricking himself into hearing them. The verses, choruses and everything sound distinct. Don't listen to that guy.

- Heavier and better than the debut album? No

Definitely no traces of a sophmore slump here. Unfortunately, I can honestly say that "Leave This Town" definitely ranks as a distant second to DAUGHTRY's self titled debut. I was excited to see that many reviews have stated that LTT sports a much heavier sound than that of the debut album. In my opinion, none of the songs are any edgier than "It's Not Over", "What I Want", "Breakdown" and "All These Lives."

- Come on People!!

I cannot believe that this album only has 269 reviews! R U kidding me???? This is the BEST album! I bought it the day it came out and have listened to it EVERY day since! Trust me! You need to buy it! It is by far his best and every single song on it is fantastic!!! I promise you will not be dissapointed!! 1) You Don't Belong- 7/10- Not my fav, but really good. Hard rockin in this one. 2) No Surprise- 8/10- Love it, but radio plays the hell out of it! It was a 10 when it first came out, but good lord.... 3) Every Time You Turn Around- 10/10- One of my favorites! Really great! 4) Life After You- 8/10- Kind of slower- Good! 5) What I Meant To Say- 10/10- Love this one! We have all been here! Great break up song! 6) Open Up Your Eyes- 8/10- Another kind of slower one. Great lyrics on this one! 7) September- 9/10- Gonna be a hit on radio! 8) Ghost of Me- 10/10- Another rocker! Love this one a lot!! 9) Learn My Lesson- 8/10- Really like this one- We have also all been here! 10) Supernatural- 9/10- Fantastic! Love it! 11) Tennessee Line- 10/10- Have seen many say this is their fav. Chris's voice in this one is amazing. Background vocal is Vince Gill. This one will most definately be a crossover hit on Country Radio. Probably will win some awards in country genre- Excellent harmony vocals. 12) Call Your Name- 7/10- Not my fav, but still good. Slower again. The very best songs from this album are the bonus tracks. You can buy the CD with the bonus tracks for a few more dollars. I highly recommend it! The bonus tracks are the very best on the album. 1) One The Inside- 12/10!! The absolute BEST song on the CD- Amazing lyrics!! "No matter how you sell it, what your tellin is a lie" Great!! 2) Traffic Light- 12/10!!! One of the very best!! Cannot wait to see him sing this one live!! 3) What Have We Become- 11/10 Great lyrics again. I know I keep saying it, but they truly are!! Trust me! You will NOT be dissapointed with this purchase! Buy the bonus track one! They are the best!!

- Greatness!!!!!

You did it again!! Great Sophmore effort. Keep up the great work!!! All songs rock!

- No Surprise?

I give this album a two thumbs up, five stars, whatever. Chris Daughtry has always been amazing and talented and he is still dishing it out. I'd say it's no surprise he's getting 41/2 stars for this. No pun intended

- AMAZING

One word for this album: PERFECT

- Well worth the wait

There are very few CD's where I like the majority of the album. Instead of just buying a few songs off iTunes, I decided to purchase the actual CD. I'm glad I did. It was worth the wait and worth having the actual disc. Chris Daughtry has a great voice. To everyone who says he sounds like everyone else, he does. It's all a variation of the same chords. What makes a difference is the voice, how you put the songs together, and the impact of the lyrics. I think Chris has once again done an outstanding job.

- Finally

Finally a second album and great one at that! Great job Daughtry

- it's no suprise.....

that this album's song all sound the same.

- Was it worth the wait?!?!?!?!

Heck Yah!!! For me it was a long wait as I listened to his first CD so many times. This CD is just as good if not better than his first and he doesn't stray far from the kind of music that made his 1st record/CD go platinum. Worth every penny spent on the 1st day of release.

- Even with a new style...

This guy can rock!! i read what the album was like with the new "hard rock" daughtry, and i was a little hesitant to buy this album. after listening to the first few tracks, i was hooked...brilliant album from one of the best bands i have ever heard

- American idiot

Yawn....yawn....yawn. Haven't we heard this type of pseudo rock infest the radio with the likes of Creed & Nickleback. Daughtry is bad enough musically, does he need to add the eyeliner for more torture?

- Freakin awesome

In My opinion, I personaly think this is there best album yet, I'm glad they made it more of a hard rock album

- Leave This Town Review

I just purchased this album from iTunes and I have to say that it rocks! Wow! Daughtry rocks! Just as good as the last album. You Don't Belong is pretty kick a**! Keep it up, Daughtry!

- Awesome

This CD Is Amazing And Awesome. Keep Up The Good Work. Can't Wait To Hear More From The Band In The Future!

- Awesome Album

Like the first album, it will be loaded with hits.

- I LOVE DAUGHTRY!!!

i have loved chris daughtry ever since he was on amercican idol. I was so happy to hear they were coming out with a second album. i don't think that i hate any of these songs!!!

- Thats whats up!!!

Chris and Band, you guys rock! There's no such thing as a sophomore slump when it comes to you guys!!! Keep it up. I listen to Leave This Town basically everyday in my vehicle and ipod!!!

- Itwasprettygood

Good great but not amazing

- Further proof of daughtrys horrible status

Mabey if you like nickleback or all of the songs on Daughtry's past album you like this, however with the exception of those very few people you will find that this album is a testimony to daughtry's failure. This is my only review out of like 250 others that says DO NOT BUY THIS.

- Excellent

I'm a person who loves variaty, and this album delivers. The songs vary from hard edge to a country sound. It's obvious that a lot of time and effort has been spent, and it shows. Every song will creep up into your thoughts from time to time. Love it! Love it! Love it!

- <333333 itttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as i did with Silver Side Up by Nickelback i have added EVRY SINGLE song from this album to my playlist! buy this album and you wont regret it!

- Daughtry

Daughtry does it again. Another great CD. This CD may be better than his last. I couldn't wait til I this album and it's awesome.

- Great!

Daughtry is back with another great album.

- Excellent!!!

It is so hard to find a great new band that can produce more then one good C.D. Most band bring a great first C.D. and then the second will crash and burn but not Daughtry! they've succeeded in making their second Album as great as the first! A TWO THUMBS UP!

- Amazing!

All I can say is that's it's a frekin' cool album!

- Come on.....

You are going to instantly think this review is bias [look at my name] but that's too bad. Daughtry had a guest role in Theory of a Deadman's "By the Way" on their album "Scars and Souvenirs". It must've paid off. When Daughtry first hit the scene i loved them, because with yet being great modern rock, they just had a way of being not the same old new rock band. Now, you can instantly see a similarity between Daughtry/Theory/Nickelback. Now don't get me wrong, that doesn't have to be a bad thing but the first song i listened to was No Surprise. It had the name of Theory's song and had a ring like Nickelback's "Gotta be Somebody." I usually hate when people complain about how a band sounds like another band. But in this case Daughtry has gone over the edge. The second song i heard was "You Don't Belong." Right away i knew it was a simple remake of Theory's "Say Goodbye". Especially the "NO!" in the chorus. But there's so much more in the song that's a duplicate. September sound's like "Wait for Me" and "End of the Summer". "Tennessee Line" sounds like "Photograph". I could go on and on. Don't get me wrong, i used to be a huge Daughtry fan but i'll stick with the first album. I hate to ruin you Daughtry lovers' fun but if you don't believe me you can compare each song and i know right away you'll notice what i'm talking about. [you can tell from the sample.] So i know most of you won't be too thrilled about this review, but somebody needs to state the truth. I thankyou for reading my review.

- Love Everything

i LOVE Chris's voice, i LOVE all the songs, and i LOVE the fact that I'm getting this for Christmas!!!!!! I don't have enough money left on itunes and i don't really wanna get more but these are great songs and if you have the itunes money you should DEFINITLY buy this cd! It's AMAZING!!!!! I can't wait for Christmas!

- YEAH!

EVERY TIME I TURN AROUND in a CD store lately, this one pops out. OPEN UP YOUR EYES and see that this is a great album, probably better than the first. I don't have that much money right now. WHAT I MEANT TO SAY is that I'll get it in SEPTEMBER when I get more money. If nobody has it then, then I'll LEARN MY LESSON not to wait.

- DAUGHTRY!!!!!

I'm really not a psycho fan :), but I LOVE daughtry. My personal fav song is Call Your Name. Yes for Daughtry, No for Nickelback (although I love them both, I'm just curious :))

- The rock of Daughtry!!

This album is brillant! The instruments are really good, and the songs are AWESOME. If you like Daughtry, get it!!!!

- huioh

to all u jumponthebandwagon losers out there, i dont c whats so great abotu daughtry. theyre generic, and dont seem to have any real talent. They sound almost exactly like nickleback and shinedown.

- A Rocker Man

Oh my goodness, Daughtry has made another amazing album!!!! I love every single song and word there is on this album. Espesially when he hits those high notes, it blows my speakers away!!!!!!!!!!!

- one word: AMAZING

i absolutely LOVE this album and daughtry! even better than the last one! he has an amazing voice. totally worth the buy!

- AWSOME!!!!!!

It's the best album of the year!!!

- DAUGHTRY RULES!

This album rocks. I think that the top 3 songs on here are 1. No surprise 2. Ghost of me 3. Life after you These songs are awesome!

- My Review for Daughtry's album "Leave This Town"

As I listened to these 30 second bits and pieces of "Leave This Town," I am once again able to say that Daughtry never fails to impress me. Usually, a lot of singers come out with a great first album, but few manage to raise the bar with their second and third and fourth albums. It also shows unity (as in having the whole band on the cover) and Chris Daughtry (the lead singer)'s true talent. He can easily touch anyone's heart with a soft ballad (like "Call My Name"), but he can also easily make you want to dance with hard rock songs (like "Every Time You Turn Around"). Good luck to Daughtry in the future! I would recommend this to any American Idol fan or rock fan!

- heres something good.

been a while since i found an almost perfect album. i recommend no surprise [duh], life after you, open up your eyes, and supernatural.

- Great music

Daughtry has made some more great music. I am very happy with the music on this long over due album.
