With all due respect, I can not understand what people like about this guy. His nasaly voice is irritating and his songs are all the same. Chord progressions and harmonies are elementary at best- very dull and unengaging. If you enjoy him, then great- that's what music is for, but I can not recommend any of his work. He is a great performer, however.

My parent's played his music when I was a child but it wasn't until my freshmen year of high school that I finally grasped why my parents listened to his music.. What can be better than a sunny day boating with family and friends and listening to his music on the lake.. Or driving through the desert on an open road hearing these amazing melodies and harmonies...The genuine from the heart lyrics that are so real and raw.. I finally got it! So I bought this album in the 90's only to have it lost by my Dad (go Figure, he probably stole it!). At any rate I don't mind re-buying it b/c each and every song is incredible.. Thanks for the wonderful soundtrack of life Mr. Taylor!

Every year my parents take my family to a James Taylor concert. I absolutley love it. I count down the days til we go. If anyone wants an awesome song to listen to, I would recommend Sweet Baby James. My dad would sing tht to me before I went to bed and it still makes me fall asleep. During one of the concerts we went to, I fell asleep listening to James taylor's voice b/c it was SO soothing. I would totally buy this album and/or the new one James Taylor and Carol King live at the trubidor

This song has a special meaning for me considering Im from North Carolina.Im a big homebody and cant imagine calling anywhere else home.The guitar and JTs voice couldnt be any more soothing.Thx James Taylor for capturing our beloved NC so acurately in song.

Best 8 bucks I have spent in awhile

I own this back in Montreal, felt like listening to it!! Every single song is good! If you like James Taylor , even just a bit , it is worth every penny!!!!

JT seriously makes life worth living. "Fire and Rain", "You've Got a Friend", "Some thing in the way she moves", "Carolina in my mind", "Sweet baby James", and "How Sweet it is" are my favs...pretty much this whole album is awesome. You'd be missing out by not having this music.

I was on a bus in the middle of Israel in the early 1980s when someone in my group introduced me to JT. And like Jimmy Buffett and some other good musical friends, he has stayed with me for the past 25+ years. Easy to listen to, and hard to understand...that took me more time than the harmonies and melodies to get - but well worth the journey. On ty'ul with J-T b'vakasha is the only way to travel...if the driver has a tape player (or iPod I suppose)!

I have never enjoyed an album more than I have enjoyed this one. His music just puts me in a genuine good mood, and we need to all find that one artist that does that for us. I only wish Copperline was on this one..but it is still a wonderful greatest hits album nonetheless with all of his true greatest hits. His usage of guitar (and voice) is beautiful..ah what a good artist.

Ahh...his voice reminds me of summer ...like a warm breeze...kick back and listen...and remember better days. This is a great compliation of some of Taylor's greatest songs. There is no way you can listen to this and not feel better. I highly recommend this one. You'll be glad you downloaded it!

I grew up listening to my mom's old James Taylor cds, and I can honestly say that I know every lyric this amazing man has ever sang. He's not one of those computer generated artists, his music is real and beautiful. When I saw him in concert he sounded exactly the same. This album is on the top of my list of favorites. (:
