I think that not winning AI is the best thing that could have happened to Adam. It allowed him to make this album without the restriction of the PG-13 AI franchise. This is one of the few albums that I can listen to completely, without skiping any song. It's fun, rythmic, sexy, romantic and always vocally brilliant. There are songs for different moods and for different moments. My personal favorite is "Fever" but I love them all. I've been a fan of Adam's since I saw him in his first audition in AI. There was something in him that said he was going to become a star. And he is already on that path. One of the most talented and unique singers of the decade. This album is a must-have!!! :)

Best CD I've heard in a long time! His voice is powerful on all ths songs and the silliness of it makes every song song sexy in it's own way. And a plus is on one my favorite songs on the album was written by Ms. Lady GaGa herself!("Fever")!!!!

First of all Adam lambert is gay and anyone who saw the AMAs would know that. It wasn't just a small one second kiss it was like a 4 second kiss. A lot of little kids watch the AMAs and now they are scarred for life. On the other hand his music is fantastic but I put 3 stars because of his AMA performance but most of these songs are great! I don't think Adam lambert is a bad person I just don't like that performance.

Lambert fascinated me from day 1 on Idol. I have to admit, I looked forward to this debut disc w/a huge amount of guilty pleasure ..... however upon it's release about a year ago now, I was sorely disappointed. I remember expecting this David Bowie meets KISS type debut..... a retro 80s throwback if you will, and while that inspiration is evident behind a couple of these songs, Lambert chose not to make it his main theme of focus. I have to admit, it took me a LONG time to get over that cover art .... that was shocking even for him ..... but if you can look past the pretenses and expectations of what people thought would inevitably be this album, you'll find that you may actually just be entertained. While songs like 'For Your Entertainment', 'Strut', 'Fever' and 'Sure Fire Winners' are a little over-the-top, there are a lot of interesting tones to this Lp. The Weezer meets Killers 'Pick U Up' is awesome .... 'Sleepwalker', 'Aftermath', 'Soaked' and 'Broken Open' are all FLAWLESS. Period. BEST CUT = 'Music Again'. Hands down awesome ... Makes me miss The Darkness soooo bad! I also found after a few listens that I didn't mind the singles 'Whataya Want From Me', and 'If I Had You' .... Overall I've actually grown to understand Lambert as an artist and a human being, and much like his personality and spirit, this album is a collection of emotions .... don't judge it by the HORENDOUS cover :)

Adam Lambert's freshman album is a thrilling eclectic mix of songs covering soaring rock vocals, down-tempo songs with emotional depth, catchy pop tunes and sexy dance numbers. Something for every mood. Adam was smart when he put this album together. He paid attention to his very diverse fan base and he kept in mind that he would want to perform these songs live and deliver an exciting show. And I tell you, I really enjoy listening to the whole album over and over again, but each song from the cd reaches another dimension when Adam performs it live. Can not wait for the next album and the next concert.

If right now rock was popular with out a doubt would he do rock album with traces of pop, just like he made a pop album with traces of rock. He's obviously a poser!!!!! His songs are unoriginal, and it's obvious that he does not write his own music at all. There are harder working musicians who deserve more recognition than this fake "rockstar". Don't give into mainstream garbage!!!! DO NOT buy this record!!!! Every song even the hit singles are soooo generic and predictable. He's just another lame pop star that will be forgotten within the next year or two.

Well, I think everybody is being a little harsh on Adam, and I agree with what your saying, but this album was NOT his choice. Just to let you all know that the contestants on American Idol have to sign a paper that says that the people that don't win, their first album HAS to be made by the American Idol producers, so all the producers wanted was to have him singing pop music, which clearly isn't a good thing! So, I would like it if you wouldn't be so harsh, and realize what I am saying. When his second album comes out, and if it sounds exactly the same as this one, you can blame me, but I'm just saying! Oh, just to put it out there, I think that Adam Lambert should have made an almum that sounds like Jeff Buckley! Their voices are almost identical!

This album is a complete sellout! Adam's talent is wasted here, it just goes to show you want money can do. A mix of Mika and Lady Gaga, I think the album showcases Adam's vocal talents. It clearly shows he should have been the next American Idol, so too bad homophobic America voted for the other guy whose name no one actually remembers now.

This a really good first album. Songs like Whadaya Want From Me and For Your Entertainment are really good. I'll admit that during american idol I was rooting for Kris Allen because he has a better voice, but now Adam ha proved that he's the better artist, and I believe he should have won.

He has a vocal capacity of Freddy Mercury but he blew it on Techno-fusion. More suited to glam rock, which after his performance of queen songs on American Idol I was hoping he'd follow in that trend. Sounds like the same crap that everyone listens to these days.

This album has something for everyone some pop and dance songs to a slow song like sleepwalker and broken open. There is a really upbeat fever,master plan and down the rabbit hole. Definitly a cd to buy, You won't be disappointed.

This is a totally FANTASTIC album... here are my reviews! "Music Again"= A good song with a catchy chrorus and an even catchyier verse. It was never one of my favourite songs, but overally a kool beat and a great album opener. Also a cool guitar solo... this is kinda a rock song. "For Your Entertainment"= This was at one point one of my favourite songs. Again, very very catchy. Every aspect of the song, the verse, bridge, chorus, pre-chorus, will all make people dance and apprecitate his music style I would write a review 4 the other songs.... but im too lazy heres all the songs from this album that have been my favourite song at one point and are good buys: Whataya Want From Me For Your Entertainment Strut Sure Fire Winners Fever Time For Miracles And all his songs are kinda the same genre exept 4 music again (rock) and aftermath, which is a slow song GREAT ALBUM KAN'T WAIT 'TILL THE SECOND ONE

Okay, here is the deal. This album is the best ever created. Like, seriously. His vocals are just absurdly amazing, his range is surprisingly stimulating and the feeling these songs bring out, whether the feeling of being pumped up or feeling devastatingly depressed, are evoked so well that I wish I could drink the words he says and the music in general. He is soooo talented. Most of the songs deserve to be on the top 5 list, including Whataya Want From Me, For Your Entertainment, and If I Had You. There a ton more that are my favourite, but those are just a few to give examples. Please buy these songs, because otherwise you will most definitely be missing out on some of the best music of this entire era.

This album is awesome! The cool thing about it is there is a lot of variety, there's some songs that are more pop, some rock, some dance, and some hauntingly beautiful. And in case you guys who say the cover is scary and what not, it was meant to be like that, Adam is trying to bring back androgeny. And some lyrics do mean something, I bet have the songs you guys listen to are songs about "shawties," sex, and drugs. Listen to the lyrics, especially in songs like Aftermath and Broken Open. I love this album and I think it's about time a man has this kind of music! Very fresh. Love you Adam, keep doing what you're doing. :)<3
