I love the music. Yes i already bought the album, and i am upset that i must buy it again. Great album. Oh, and by the way, giving an album 1 star because you dont want to pay for it again isn't really a valid reason to give it 1 star. a rating is FOR THE MUSIC

bought the original sountrack from itunes and now this comes out.

I bought the original Avatar Soundtrack but am unable to buy the new songs individually without buying the entire album again at full price. Really lame...

I bought the album long ago and love it!!!!! So why didnt they just include the bonus tracks in the first album??As much as i like the songs i rather not buy the same album again just for 6 more songs i dont have.So please...if it wasn't album only i think us avatar fans would love that a lot better! ;D

In order for the majority of us Avatar fans who bought this when it came out to get 6 tracks and the digital booklet we must pay $12.99. Now I thought that James Cameron would have treated his fans a little better than this.

This is a community of people who choose to enjoy music legally by paying for it and this is how we get repaid? The fisrt "album only" is understandable, but doing it twice in a row for some bonus tracks is just wrong. This is why people steal music.

So I already have the soundtrack...but I want the bonus tracks. I mean, the soundtrack is absolutely amazing.. BUT I would rather not pay 12.99 for 6 new songs when I already paid for the entire album. I can tell that almost everyone here has already bought the soundtrack and would like to buy only the bonus tracks. I think we all agree?

I wouldn't say it is Itunes fault per se how these extra songs are being distributed. You'd think with the change to digital download that the previous business model would change, but so far it hasn't. If you'd bought these on CD, you'd have to buy the CDs again for the rerelease. That's been the way it is since the beginning. Companies have seldom released new albums with only the previously unreleased music. CD libraries across the country are bloated with songs people had to purchase well more than one time to get newer or different versions of music they didn't have. Hopefully with all the input we can force a change in the industry, but something tells me it isn't going to happen anytime soon. As far as the music goes, it is superb. I'm glad Horner still has the magic.

I'm debating on whether or not I actually want to spend $12 for a better part of what I already own. Why can't iTunes sell the bonus songs separate from the original track??? This is ridiculous!

Alright, well, I bought the whole album in favor of the six bonus tracks and I got to say that for some odd reason, these tracks seem synthesized and NOT performed by an actual orchestra. That put me off a lot! Especially the Death of Quaritch. It really distracted me from the overall listening experience when all I was thinking about was how synthesized and fake it sounded. Unfortunately, the other tracks fall victim to that too. So from an avid Avatar fan, I'm fairly disappointed about the quality of these bonus tracks.

Apple should allow people that have previously purchased the Original soundtrack to purchase the bonus songs without buying the entire album. Why should I repurchase songs? I'd definitely purchase the bonus songs but I won't repurchase the album.

Seriously, iTunes. If you're are going to do this AT LEAST WARN US! sheesh talk about white america. PLEASE JUST MAKE A SEPERATE ALBUM OF JUST THE BONUS TRACKS. Your losing your dignity. Your customers aren't very happy with this. Do just like you did with KJ-52's the Yearbook. Come on! It's not that complicated! Oh, and we are not whining like a buch a babies. We are concerned for the welfare of america. Because this could lead to God-knows-what. We gotta keep this straight! Thank You anyways, iTunes (like we like overpaying for a litte bit more) Guess we'll have to bite the bullet on this on, guys. I mean, If you're a true Avatar fan, you would buy this to support Avatar. Heck, They could make an Avatar 2.

Ahh there they are. I knew those tracks were missing from the first release. It was only a matter of time (and success of the movie) that Horner & Co would release them. But album only? I'm not alone here, but I already bought it. If you are going to do album only, at least give us the option of BONUS ALBUM $5.94.... =Sold!

Like many others I have already purchased the soundtrack via itunes when it came out. Would it not make more sense for those to have already bought the soundtrack to buy the bonus tracks at a discounted rate?

This is a very unfortunate release. Besides the fact that the bonus tracks aren't available individually, you can tell from the previews that the bonus tracks are not really other tracks from the movie, but badly synthesized versions of the missing themes. Why synthesize the pieces when you have access to the original recordings? And if you are going to synthesize them, at least do a decent job. They sound terrible. Both of these problems are incredibly unfortunate because the actual album is perhaps one of the best albums ever produced, in my opinion. You might be better off just buying the original album without the bonus tracks.

The music is wonderful, however, the label had better stop this greedy mind. Nobody wants to pay for the whole album just to get a few songs. That's why piracy exists. I don't blame them.

Well first of all iTunes isn't a scam... It's a business, businesses make money Second: they changed tracks from $.99 to .69, .99, and 1.29 not because they wanted to but because record companies could no longer make money off of CDs because people get such a great deal of .99 a song here on iTunes! So they made it so popular songs are worth more and unpopular songs are worth less. It actually makes perfect sense. And third: people. Just wait for the deluxe or don't complain. The last comment was spot on

Why the heck??? Why do us iTunes coustumers have to pay for the whole album...and almost all of us only like some of the songs on the album..like what the crap man...I love the moive but, I am not buying the whole!! album for just some songs...RiP OFF!! All were saying is to please charge for songs SEPREATLY! PLEaSE!!

People! Stop complaining like little babies! For every movie there is the original and the deluxe! I see it all the time, everyone buys the original and then throws a baby-fit because they just couldn't wait for the deluxe to come out and have to buy it all over again. Learn from your mistakes already! This music is beautiful and I plan to buy it asap.

Seriously? This is exactly how ur losing all customers to the Internet and file sharing and downloading. If you keep up with this album only stuff, and considering there are hundreds of people who've prob already purchased these songs, someones bound to have uploaded these songs for download for free if people know where to look. Don't get me wrong I love iTunes and the variety of song movies etc you have available, but making us download the full album again after having already purchased the original not very smart. Love the music and not complaining cause I already have it but if I can get it elsewhere individually I will. Sorry pretty sure majority of everyone else feels the same not just me

This is an incredible album, and I have considered buying it before - it was between it and How To Train Your Dragon. Now I am glad I did not, or I would have to buy it all over again to get the bonus songs. Don't you think its unfair that iTunes should do that? Really, they ought to put all the songs out for individual purchase. I know I would be SO mad if I'd bought it and then found out that I had to spend thirteen dollars to get the rest of the soundtrack, I just think that's plain unfair. Still a good album though, the songs are great, so besides making all the songs 'album only' I give it two thumbs up!

I thought a 'bonus' was a free thing (in this case) when you buy the album. You're paying $4 more for the 'bounus' and actually getting 1 more song. C'mon Itunes, why can't we buy these songs individually? keep it up and you'll lose many customers.

Instead of forcing extra money out of customers, the 6 deluxe version songs should be an option to complete the original soundtrack.

I purchased the score way back in December after first seeing the movie. And i must say i LOVE both the movie and the soundtrack. Upon seeing the movie several times after listening to the score i realised there were pieces of music that were not on the score. Needless to say, i wanted this additional music, and now it seems it is available in this "Deluxe Edition" of the score. My question is, why were these tracks not available for the first release of the score? I would have gladly purchased this version for $13, but i WILL NOT re-purchase an album i already have just for 6 additional songs. All of the songs should be available for individual purchase, and at the very least these songs should be subject to the "complete my album" deal for those who have already purchased the regular score! I, along with many iTunes users, am outraged at this "album only" nonsense. Come on iTunes, offer these bonus tracks individually, or as a block seperate from the rest of the album, or as a "complete my album" for those who have already purchased the first version!

I also bought the soundtrack when it first came out, is this how they repay loyal iTunes user's? Please make the bonus selections available to complete our prior purchase.

ITUNES IS STUPID!!!!! Great Music but anyone who has already bought the first release of the soundtrack will never buy this for 3 songs. Make them Indivually and you would be making more money... Just Saying!!!!

I believe were all forgetting the fundemental reason we invested in iTunes; which for me anyways was the ability to purchase individual tracks. Why put up with the b.s. when we could always go down to the local record store and purchase the full albums there, at least we would get the actual CD in our hands....... iTunes please quit holding out on us and do what you were born to do(make us happy). Dont get me wrong I love iTunes, but I could always love it more. Thanx

I am absolutely in love with AVATAR. It is my favorite movie I've seen this year. If you are a big enough fan, you won't mind paying a little extra for the 6 amazing bonus tracks! The way the music is composed makes you feel as if you actually are inside the movie! I love James Horner and I'm sure if you love him too, you'll buy this album, no matter what the pricetag is. Peace! ^.^

adding my voice here. what a ripoff, for everyone who bought the "regular" album, last winter.

There is no way I'm paying for this full album for a couple songs I like. Hopefully you will start to sell them seperately. It's not worth it for the full thing when I only like a few.

I'm not going to be the sucker thats gets gipped for 6 songs when I already bought the original sound track. I really hope nobody falls for this money making scandal. Besides that, great soundtrack (hence 5 star review). Apple, can you overcome your money making greed and stop ruining great albums? At least give the people who bought the original one a discount on the new songs.

I adore this score and have it on repeat wheneve I'm in the ~Avatar mood. The songs are wonderful and soulful and take you back to the film and the world of Pandora. I am angry that there are bonus tracks now because I've already bought the cd ages ago and I don't want to pay for it all again for six more tracks. But, if you don't have it already and you loved the film, the score is a wonderful companion to the beautiful movie.

Okay, so I knew that some tracks were so called missing in the first album, and I knew I should have waited. iTunes, why? Now, I don't have enough money to buy this one on my gift card. I'm going to buy it again, but $13? No kidding! iTunes has become a scam. First it was changing all of the good songs to $1.29, now it's this! Trust me, I'm not the only one who is digusted in this. Itunes, you are ripping people off. The whole point of itunes is that people can go on and buy individual songs they want without having to buy the whole CD from the store! why aren't you selling the songs individually?? I know I speak for a lot of people when I say I'm not paying $13 for songs I don't want. Please sell them individually! Please!!!!!

Is anyone actually checking these releases before they are posted on iTunes??? The Avatar soundtrack album already exists and most Avatar fans have already purchased it, so why the heck should we re-download the whole album to get a few extra tracks? Release the extra tracks as individual purchases, otherwise I don´t see how anyone with half a brain would purchase the same album twice...

Well, I don't even have the first album, but I came over here to see if there were any individual tracks for sale. Hmm, whole album or no album? I don't condone piracy, but this situation is the kind of thing that just encourages it. See, iTunes, record labels, studios, artists, etc. if you sold individual tracks you could make something, people would be happy to give you money for some tracks they want, but instead you try to force feed us the whole album, so you get no money and more people will go out of their way to get what they want somewhere else, and likely for free.

You should just sell the songs individually so that people don't have to spend money on the whole album

Dear iTunes, Stop this "Album Only" crap. You are just losing money and making your customers angry by making many great songs "Album Only". I'm sure that there are far more people out there who would like to buy just one song but don't end up buying it because it's "Album Only" then there are people who will buy the entire album for just one or two "Album Only" songs.

This is a great score but I already have the other album. The album only thing is beyond frustrating and I see that I am not the only one upset by it. But my question is, does Itunes even look at this reviews? Or would directly contacting them resolve this problem faster if at all?
