It's not bad, but compared to food and liquor and the cool, this is lupe's worst album. If the music industry just let's him do his own thing, then this album would've been amazing. He even admits that he didn't like this album. Eh, it could've been worse :)

I've listened to Food & Liquor and The Cool so many times, both are hip-hop classics that are great all the way through. Lasers completely pales in comparison. The whole album sounds exactly like mainstream, bland, over-produced rap-pop. The only song that really stands out and sounds like the real Lupe is "All Black Everything." Hopefully since he gave his record label the boring pop album that they wanted, his next album will be genuine.

The lyrics are not too bad but it has typical commercialized beats. It's lupe's version of eminem's recovery. It doesn't have the same genius that food and liquor or the cool had

Much different from The Cool and Food & Liquor. The beats are mainstream and style is mainstream. However I still like some of the songs and I think the album is good but doesn't compare to the first 2. There's only 2 songs Olin the album that sound original lupe to me: All black everything, till I get there

Most greatest rap album ever! Not any swearing crud like Rick Ross, 50 Cent etc. This dude raps about life and not about money and girls! This dude is awesome I really recommend buying the whole deluxe album like I did :) this dude is dope! :) <3

A little over a year later and still this is an AMAZING album. I've been listening to it since day one. Beautiful Lasers (2 Ways) is my personal favorite.

That's the best song in this album. It brings memories, it has a really deep meaning. It can be the song when you wished you went back in time. It has soul. Never in long time have I heard a song like this. This song is my favorite. I love it. Cherish everything, this song tells you to do. It has a beautiful and un-comprehend able meaning.

It has it's moments. This review is coming from a guy who has every single one of his songs he has ever made. I am a huge Lupe fan because he reminds me a little of Nas. In Food and Liquor he really wowed me with how down to Earth he was. He seems to see alot of the world around him and he really did a good job of tapping into it and that was his strength up until this album. Lasers completely got away from what he did best, he is still very talented and the reason he got up so far on the charts is because by this point he had a name and people recognized him and were already listening to his music. I can be wrong but, this is just my opinion. This album is not him... It is the kind of thing I would expect from Drake or Lil Wayne. It does have its good tracks and I would still reccommend buying it.

Listening to "The Show Goes On" gives me so many memories… almost makes me cry with joy and remembrance of such good times. I miss Nantucket. Great album, great guy, five stars all around.

This is a pretty good album. But I think i dont wanna care right now, out of my head, and break the chain are just not what Lupe is about. And I think this album is more emotional than poetic. Good, but Lupe is capable of more. Hope F&L 2 will be good!
