Pearl jam is just flat out amazing, I've never heard an album as good as this one.

Pearl Jam’s “Ten" isn’t only one of Pearl Jam’s best albums, but it’s one of the greatest albums ever made! This album has so many 90s classics! Hell, every song on here I consider a classic! A lot of people say the definitive album of the 90s was Nirvana’s “Nevermind”, but I think Pearl Jam’s “Ten” is the album that defined the 90s! If you are just getting in to Pearl Jam, but don’t know where to start, start with this album! 5/5! Highlights of this album: Once, Even flow, Alive, Jeremy, Oceans, Release.

This album defines my Generation's music and sound! Pearl Jam released this album my Sophomore year of High School. The first song, "Once," is still my favorite song from the "grunge" era. Simply a great recording -- a classic that will resonate for decades to come.

This is NOT the original version of "Ten". Anyone who loved this album in the 90's will realize during "Alive" that the solo has been changed and NOT for the better. The baseline on "Black" is also different from the original album. Do not buy this download. Pay a little extra, get the CD (or vinyl) and rip it, if you want to hear how the timeless classic "Ten" really sounds.

Ten came out on 1/13/92, a Tuesday. I turned 13 the next day, Wednesday 1/14/92. One of my presents was wrapped CD. It was Ten, not surprisingly. In one simple day, I was now a teenager and my life forever changed. I am the person I am today because of that day. What a time to be a teen. Thanks Pearl Jam, for making teenage self discovery, super easy lol....

Ten has powerful grunge and makes an influence on anyone who listens to it. I eat, sleep, and breathe these eleven songs as if it was the only music I had ever known. Pearl Jam's debut album has 11 legendarily awesome songs which no one should not hear.

This album is truly a masterpiece. It's a shame that it was the only good album they ever released.

I was charged twice for the same song though. It was working fine until today then for some reason it wouldn't play anymore so I deleted it and tried to re-download it, but apparently it disappeared from my purchase list so I was forced to actually buy the same song again that I shoud've already owned. What the ****?

I can’t help think about how different the public’s reaction was to “Jeremy” back then, compared to what it would have been if newly released in the the post-columbine present.

What a classic! I have loved this album since I first heard it back in 1992. I never tire of any of it. A must-have record for any rock fan of the 80s/90s!

If you want something from the 1990's rock/grunge era, this is for you. I wore out the CD long ago, like others have. Great to listen to when driving.

I'm not reviewing the album just this particular iTunes version. For some reason the original solo on "Alive" was replaced by something different and much less exciting. I know this album note for note and there are some other diffeences on this version than the original. I would go buy the CD or something. I've had the cassette and the CD and decided to download because both of old copies were overused and worn out. When I came across some of the noticeable differences I realized that I should have just purchased the CD again. I repeat- this is not a bad review of the album just this particular version.

Ten is a classic of alternative rock, with the amazing songs Release, Jeremy, Black, Even Flow and Alive.

A truely great album all the way through.

No doubt about it, this is good music. But it’s not something I’d listen to all the time. That’s the reason I only gave it three stars. Favorites: “Alive”, “Black”, and “Jeremy”.

best Pearl Jam album ever!

I don't understand why someone that sounds like he's stoned, tired and/or depressed when he sings is popular.

I'm a huge fan of Pearl Jam, they're actually my favorite band, you can't deny the fact that Ten is probably their best album!

Okay, to be honest, I'd be cheating anyone reading this cause this is only for nostalgia purposes. I was 13 when this came out in 1991. It's crazy cause grunge was in full swing and this was the first grunge album I owned. I didn't even get into Nirvana until that following year. I remember thinking what's so great about this tape and for the life of me couldn't figure out why a bunch of guys were standing around trying to reach a light switch. But, I bought it cause of the sticker on the front listing Alive, Evenflow, and Jeremy as hit tracks. It looked cool at the time. For me it was more or less like a 70's rock opera dropped in the early 90's. Now of days , you're lucky if you catch an old clip of Pearl Jam on reruns of SNL and maybe 'Alive' on the radio. But I can still remember the excitement of this when it came out.

This is a fantastic album! Every track is amazing, with my favorites being black, oceans, porch, and once.

By far one of the best albums to come from the Grunge era.

Heard this album when I was 5, 22 years later it is still one of my favorites. "Garden" still remains my favorite song of all time. No song since has made such an emotional impact on me and gives me goosebumps every time I hear it! I don't normally review albums but I had to with this one. From start to finish, this album truly is a Ten.

Not only is this album the greatest of the 90's especially being a teen in the 90's but seeing them live is like no other concert you will experience, they are a must see, love the grunge 90's music

I still hear half of these songs on the radio today, Pearl Jam has put out great stuff since but nothing tops Ten.

Never thought I would say that about anything that's referred to as grunge — but it is what it is. This album,in my opinion, is 1 of like 10 album in the history of music that can be considered PURE PERFECTION. G&R has one, Bob Marley , Pink Floyd , Def Leppard, each have one, I'm not going thru all 10 but u understand what I mean I hope.

This is the prime example of great grunge from the early 90's. It is my favorite album of all time, from the rough, hard cut "Once" to the end with softer "release" there is no bad song on this album. BUY IT NOW

This is the only iTunes review i have ever written, and probably ever will write, but its the least I could do considering how AMAZING this album is. It truly stands in a league of its own--my favorite of all time…. And this is coming from someone who simply stumbled upon it, at the time not knowing grunge was anything but a category of wardrobe fashion. I have no friends who are into it or had suggested it, I wasn't at all into hard rock, and the darker themes didn't really apply to my life. But I started listening and the music-not the scene or the style, or the popularity--won me over. This music is FELT, not just heard, and in a way I've never before experienced. Now that is quality. Incredible, unique melodies. Deep and thoughtful lyrics. Amazing musicianship. Eddie Vedder's vocal quality is so unique and captivating when mixed with his pure emotion, passion, and artistry. I now know Pearl Jam is THE band. All their other albums are amazing to, but you need to start here.

I cannot describe this album in words. Trust me when i say that its just one of those albums that you have to listen to yourself. One of the best albums ever made.

They were always the band that tried WAY too hard. Still do. Good musicians, but Eddie Vedder. Oh…just … oh get over yourself...
