A shot in my HIPHOP vein I so desperately needed..some question what is REAL HIPHOP...this album is the answer..deep,well thought,diverse..DOPE!!

I love the song "Blue Sky" but unfortunately it is the only good song on the album. Don't waste your money on buying the whole thing you will be disappointed.

Drake is nowhere near Common's level of fame, wealth or lyricism. This album is on point. "Take Care" was boring and had a weird vibe. This i can listen to all day without skipping a track.

I think it's obvious who the "greatest rapper alive" is. This album is a PERFECT example of REAL hip-hop. I love how in the song "Sweet" he basically rips on rappers that everybody today loves. It makes me laugh so hard:) All in all, GREAT album!

This album is fantastic ..look I'm not saying it's the pinnacle of hip hop but it's a very refreshing break from the "norm" I'm tired of all this make you dance , I got ya girl CRAP !! This album is amazing. Common's lyrics have always been meaningful, never about guns and money. Buy this album if you really want to listen to music that catches your soul. I was hooked from the very beginning, "The Dreamer" has a great beat and just gets you in the mood to listen to the whole album without pause. Common is one of the best, even after Universal Mind Control (which I still bought, I love Common that much). This one is right up there with Be, Finding Forever, and Like Water for Chocolate. Keep em coming Common! This is REAL hip-hop!

I've listened to a couple classic common albums in the past. Be is my all time favorite from him. This album is right up there in my opinion. Also the beef with drake is awesome as his latest album take care is boring for the most part. Hip hop was starting to feel stale and this breathes new life into the genre.

I'm going to be honest, I'm not the biggest Common fan but I understand his place in rap and his role in the 90's as well as rappers like Mos Def. In looking for some new music I came across this album and can say this is easily one of the greatest pieces of music I've ever heard. This a masterpiece that we will now have to talk about the same way we talk about Illmatic, Blue Print 1 and The Reunion. Comparing this to his pervious three album is same as comparing the moon and the ocean. He has to know that this will not sell, that this is not mainstream but he still put this out. No, this will not get airplay, no this will not get album of the year and no this will not save music but what it will do is leave you speechless. Thank you Common for being man enough to put this out. Not a wasted word, not even a throw away note. It's been nearly 20 years since Illmatic turn rap into an art form and Common has just given us the closet thing to Illmatic. Just like Illmatic, we should not consider this a great rap album but one of the greatest pieces of music period.

First of all I know everyone has their own opinion but to diss common because they prefer drake is wrong and to say that drake is better sounds like hip-hop blasphemy to me but that's just my opinion commons resurrection and this one are my personal favorites especially with No I.D production so if you are tired of watered down hip-hop you can't go wrong with this
