It's definitely one of the best albums I've heard in a while. Like a lot of people I found Ab cause I was listen to Kendrick. But honestly Ab is a much better lyricist, if that's what you like which I do. Control system Def one of the Top 3 HIP HOP(not pop rap) albums of the year. Y'all need to stop sleep on Ab.

The only reason I gave this album a shot was its reviews on iTunes and the song names. Little did I know I was about to hear one of the best rap albums I've ever heard. Ab-Soul and the rest of Black Hippy are really doing great things for Hip Hop.

I gave absoul a shot after I heard him on section80 on absouls outro.. Control System is a classic, listen to from beginning to end. Well balance. Real hip hop. I'm talking lyricism. Bohemian Grove, Track 2, Book of Soul, Sopa.. All must listen to!

Album of the year hands down

This album is the greatest. Way better then the last. Ab Soul makes good music and he talks about stuff other rappers are afraid to talk about. I support his music %100.

Been a fan for a minute now, never really posted a review for anything I bought off itunes, but I felt it was right to show SOULO some love. Studied every one of these tracks and I must say, if school was this interesting I would make a life of attending class daily. Much love to TDE but Ab's lyrics free my mind and his messages can literally open you views on life tremendously! Mpls showing love soul brotha #2

Easily one of the best albums I've heard so far this year. You should have no questions about it, If you like deep lyrics, story-telling, songs that you have to rewind to fully understand , the occasional punchlines, or TDE at all you need to grab this. Come to think of it after the 6 times I've played it straight through now its starting to work its way into my favorite albums.

The best album released by a TDE member. I whole heartily believe ab-soul is the best rapper on top dawg. Lyrically he is social conscious and have the balance to just go ham on a beat.

Ever since I bought this album it's just been on repeat. Not even repeating one song. I'm talking about repeating the whole album! Well worth the money.

Don't know why I had this album for months without listening to it thoroughly.. The first time I listened to it I was heavily into Kendrick's stuff which is why I may have brushed it off, didnt think anyone could really compete at the time... But after giving it a real listen I think this may even be better than Section.80. From start to finish this album is a classic.. Point blank, Ab-Soul is the best TDE artist and if you ask me this is the best album from a TDE artist... SOUL!

Incredible album- this is the stuff of truly great artists, not "pop rap"- belongs with the greats like Lupe Fiasco, NAS, those who inspire. I'm gonna be honest…I enjoyed this more than I enjoyed Section. 80. Like, a lot more. Don't get me wrong, Kendrick is a fantastic emcee. But Soul went in on this album something fierce. Diverse subject matter, thought-provoking lyrics, wordplay that'll make your head spin… So far this has been my favorite album of 2012(yet to listen to GKMC). Every track has something to like. Standouts: Terrorist Threats, Pineal Gland, Double Standards, Book of Soul, Black Lip Bastard[Kendrick & Jay Rock stole the show tho], SOPA, Illuminate, Empathy. This album is just so good it'll make you say… "It was all a dream, I swear it never happened…"

I highly recommend this album. This album has a variety of sounds and all of them flow perfectly.

I was turned on to Ab-Soul after listening to Illuminate. I first listened to it cause Kendrick Lamar was in it but immediately looked into more music by ab soul. I'm glad i did. I listend to it a lot when i first bought it and find myself coming back to it after I buy other music. I'm looking forward to the release of more/new projects

I've been a fan since his lyrics on Section.80 ... when back into the archives and found the Long Term series. Easily have added about 10 new fans to his resume by my work alone... Bohemian Grove, Double Standards, Book Of Soul... I have my favorites. What I'm most impressed with is the fun mixed with the real. Exposing real issues but not taking himself so seriously. 4Stars cause i'm a jerk like that...ALBMU IS GREAT!!
