I'm a new listener to the XX and I was pretty blown away by this album. Totally rate it, great vibe - indie beats, amazing vocals and chilled ambient undertones. You should probably buy it.

I loved the first album but this seems pretty weak in comparison..

While it's a good album, it surely doesn't live up to the hype that surrounded it and especially when compared to their first album 'XX'. Carrying on with their stripped back sound they keep to what they know best but this album has even more minimalism by their standards. Angels, Chained, and Sunset are the stand-out songs on Coexist and are most in keeping with the debut album being more powerful than the other tracks which are a bit more easy listening and turned down. It's not a bad album, and any fan of the XX will appreciate what they've done but was definitely expecting more. 3.5 / 5 in my opinion

I honestly think this album beats their first album hands down (many won't agree). The first album was really chill and that makes this album even better, it's twice as chill. Awesome album to listen to while you're doing something thats calm and chill. So if you're into chill music then you should be buying this album, you won't regret it.

well worth your money.

While follow up albums sometimes struggle to live up to the "wow" factor a unique debut release, this does not disappoint. Sure, it takes more than a quick listen, this album needs time to warm and refine like a glass of good brandy. There is nothing worse than another twelve tracks that sound like they came from the same album- these guys are forging a secure position in music history.

Well it's not as good as the first album, angels is probably the best song. Her voice is not that great and simply sounds flat, as though she is singing in a low harmony. I guess that represents simplicity. Good for relaxing though!!:o
