Honestly The single greatest album I have ever listened to

I love it! All of the individual songs have such interesting instrument and sound arrangements and the songs are so different from one another that each new one I listen to surprises me! You guys are amazing. Dissolve Me and Ms are my favorites though.

What a great song, it will one day change a whole era or genre of music. I hope the band makes many more great tracks like that one. Cause thats the only song that I've actually heard. Peace.

Some of the best music I've heard in years! Was getting stagnant listening to Built To Spill, Modest Mouse, Radiohead, etc., on repeat. These gentlemen have moved the needle another notch upward. Keep pushing it, and look forward to more; great job!!!

Great album!

I am not easily impressed and rarely give bands a second listen. Songs from this album have been on repeat in my car for the last few weeks. I LOVE this album. I have already pre ordered the next album and can't wait to hear what Alt-J has in store for all of us.

I cannot even express in words how much I love this band. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Innovative, fresh sound and awesome lyrics. I have been listening to this for awhile now and it will never get old. If I had to pick some favorites I would say Dissolve Me, Taro, and Bloodflood. Buy this album you will not regret it. Best use of ten dollars ever!

The music is great, but I could never pay money for that voice. I don’t want to be insulting, but it’s really off-putting.

Complex lyrics and arrangements, these guys are extremely talented and great live. I spend a bit too much time and money searching for the next album that will be on heavy rotation for me, Alt-J has held a heavy rotation spot for quite some time. Highly recommended.

There is nothing not to like about this album. I love his voice and the feel of the music, overall pretty freakin' fantastic.

These people complain that all pop music sounds the same. Well so does all indie hipster garbage like this. Sounds like Adam Sandler...yikes.

Insane!! Best Album EVER!

I listen to the album over and over because I find myself asking what else is similar? and when I can't think of anything I just replay it. It flows perfectly, the interludes are placed nicely and overall it is just a fluid album. I have a hard time determining how to classify it, but I guess it doesn't really matter, it has become one that I can play on any occasion; studying, on the bus, walking home, in the car. Essentially just how my mind thinks music should sound

Listen through it a couple times, really engaging and interesting music. Whole album is good too, with a few standout tracks.

What just happened? I'm yelling at the speakers in my living room insisting this album cant be for real. With complete disregard for how hard the other pop stars were working to figure out the formula, they've just re-written it. This is the album everyone wanted, but no one else knew how to make. Unlike the really important thing you were wracking your brain on the other day, this album probably came to Alt-J while they were washing the dishes. Effortlessly fresh.

Quality album from cover to cover. I'm hoping to see this band perform in Melbourne, keep up the great work, Alt-J!

Definitely a great album from start to finish, favourites are Something Good and Fitzpleasure, though you can't go wrong with any of the tunes. Money very well spent, seeing them in Toronto come March!

One of my favourite albums of all time

This album makes me feel like I'm stoned. The music transports me to a land of smiles induced by music I've been looking for & didn't know it until now. Brilliant.

So if Dr Seuss Who Ville's had a rock band this is what they would sound like. Just Sayin'.

Their sound is definitely original (yet the Radiohead references have some merit) and the whole album is generally mellow, feel-good music.

What a great album, my favourite this year. All songs are really good and original. Well made, well recorded and an absolute joy to listen to.

I could listen to this music for hours. What a lovely sound.

Sung from the bottom of a barrel, this holds a particularly irritating echo drone tone that I could not pull out of being completely annoying, I tried and tried. The vocals seem intent on doing anything but pleasing.

It was a strange mixture of sound from the beginning, but as I moved through the album the style grew on me and by track 6 I found myself hitting "Buy"! Really mellow songs that also have a rich, dark-water texture to them tell different stories each time. Love the unique sound!
