alt-J has manifested perfection in the form of music. I have been listening to this album continuously for a year and I only fall more and more in love with it. If you're looking for music that has the power to move you on incredible levels, alt-J is all you need.

The lyrics make no sense! Some songs are hard to understand! DONT BUY THIS ALBUM!!!!!!!!

Can't say enough great stuff about this band - that being said, the only band I have found that's album cover to cover has had me enthralled like An Awesome Wave is We Are Match... Check this band out. They are awesome and unknown somehow... Let's change that! Let's see if one review by a similar minded person as far as taste in music goes, can peak your interest enough to catapult another extremely talented band.

The thing I love about Alt-J's new album, "An Awesome Wave" is the number of songs that I visualise being used in film or television. From the hauntingly, touching, "Tessellate" to the upbeat and quirky "Breezeblocks," Alt-J provides the soundtrack to the movies or shows in your mind. -Andrew K.

I cannot even express in words how much I love this band. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. Innovative, fresh sound and awesome lyrics. I have been listening to this for awhile now and it will never get old. If I had to pick some favorites I would say Dissolve Me, Taro, and Bloodflood. Buy this album you will not regret it. Best use of ten dollars ever!

Some of the best music I've heard in years! Was getting stagnant listening to Built To Spill, Modest Mouse, Radiohead, etc., on repeat. These gentlemen have moved the needle another notch upward. Keep pushing it, and look forward to more; great job!!!

Honestly The single greatest album I have ever listened to

This album is perfection. Listening to alt-J's music is a religious experience for me. I have no words to describe my love for it.

By far my favorite is "Fitzpleasure" the vocals are amazing and they are awesome live!!

I am not easily impressed and rarely give bands a second listen. Songs from this album have been on repeat in my car for the last few weeks. I LOVE this album. I have already pre ordered the next album and can't wait to hear what Alt-J has in store for all of us.

Complex lyrics and arrangements, these guys are extremely talented and great live. I spend a bit too much time and money searching for the next album that will be on heavy rotation for me, Alt-J has held a heavy rotation spot for quite some time. Highly recommended.

I'm not one for writing reviews, but Alt J deserved it. Definitely a breath of fresh new music. I listened to Alt J on NPR's Out Of The Box and immediately fell in love with it.

So Good.

I listen to the album over and over because I find myself asking what else is similar? and when I can't think of anything I just replay it. It flows perfectly, the interludes are placed nicely and overall it is just a fluid album. I have a hard time determining how to classify it, but I guess it doesn't really matter, it has become one that I can play on any occasion; studying, on the bus, walking home, in the car. Essentially just how my mind thinks music should sound

So if Dr Seuss Who Ville's had a rock band this is what they would sound like. Just Sayin'.

Their sound is definitely original (yet the Radiohead references have some merit) and the whole album is generally mellow, feel-good music.

Insane!! Best Album EVER!

This band is the revelation of the year, for me. This is a perfect album, and every single song is very unique. They also sound exceptional live. Favorite album the year, for sure!

Very good music

It was a strange mixture of sound from the beginning, but as I moved through the album the style grew on me and by track 6 I found myself hitting "Buy"! Really mellow songs that also have a rich, dark-water texture to them tell different stories each time. Love the unique sound!

What just happened? I'm yelling at the speakers in my living room insisting this album cant be for real. With complete disregard for how hard the other pop stars were working to figure out the formula, they've just re-written it. This is the album everyone wanted, but no one else knew how to make. Unlike the really important thing you were wracking your brain on the other day, this album probably came to Alt-J while they were washing the dishes. Effortlessly fresh.

One of my favourite albums of all time

This album makes me feel like I'm stoned. The music transports me to a land of smiles induced by music I've been looking for & didn't know it until now. Brilliant.

Sung from the bottom of a barrel, this holds a particularly irritating echo drone tone that I could not pull out of being completely annoying, I tried and tried. The vocals seem intent on doing anything but pleasing.

Love it, really great album that I stumbled on. Has new edgy electronic sounds whilst still displaying great musical talent. Effortlessly synchronised and great music to listen to any where any time.
