- WOW!!!!

Been familiar with the band for years, but just bought this as the first full album from them. Best purchase I have made in a long time! I will absolutely be purchasing more Deftones music!

- Love! Love! Love!

Love this CD! Cannot listen to it enough. I think all the songs are great, but I most fond of Tempest and Entombed. Any time I want to listen to something original or different I always plug in my Deftones. Never get tired of their music.

- A smorgasbord of sound....

Oh my God! First off, Chino and everything he does vocally is right on point in this album! The band as a whole hits it out of the park or this one, Abe crushes and pounds like always, Steph always pulls great riffs and doesn't disappoint! Sergio and his bass playing has revitalized this group in my opinion, Chi is a stud, no doubt. But Sergio and his style has definitely turned this great band into something else! Frank Delgado seems also has a bigger part too, his intros and outruns are amazing, as well as some of the crazy ambience he blends into some of the heaviest songs! It's amazing! It took a long time to review this album because I really needed a while for it to digest. Not that it wasn't great when I first listened, because it was indeed GREAT! But because it was just so different from what I was expecting. They are without a doubt single greatest band on the planet, and have withstood the test of time! Keep it going DEFtones!

- Oh yeah!!!

This is the best album ever!!! Definitely buy it!!!

- All the way back from 1998

Been here with this band from 1998 and I will always be there for them going to see them 3/15/13 in Boston !!! Thanks to my lovely wife thanks babe! I can't want!!!

- Deftones

Incredible

- No hay comparación

Dejemos de comparar con Diamonds Eyes, SNW... incluso el disco Homonimo. Señores, disfruten de este discazo y dejen de comparar.

- The Best

This album is great but the best song is entombed. 👍

- WOW! It sounds Clean!

This just sounds like a finer tuned diamond eyes & White Pony! Sounds over all crisp, but still can throw complex guitar down pour..

- Awsome

Back to the roots killer album everyone I play it for thinks its old school deftones little do they know posers

- Amazing

Loved it its gotta be one of their best song

- Chi! Wake up! Please!

When I heard they were getting Sergio from Quicksand to fill in for Chi, I was intrigued to say the least; I have always been a fan of Deftones and Quicksand! But I ain't diggin' the conglomeration. Diamond Eyes and "this one" (whatever it is) are too drastic a change from the Deftones sound I grew up with. And it isn't just a deviation from the Chi-flavored basslines (I can't blame it all on Vega), it's also Chino's new voice. It's too... nice. Friendly. I don't like it. I'll give them a star for Poltergeist, but that's it.

- fantastic very wll could be the best album yet

the album is incredible huge fan of the deftones they are one of a kind band I've never heard another band that has the same sound as them.

- Flawless

Perfection. Amazing. Outstanding. Wonderful. Beautiful. Just Get It. Stop Reading This And Get It. Get It. Get it!

- Almost better than white pony!

My ears are bleeding!!!!!!!!

- better than fine wine.

Actually, a very small number of wines have the proper structure to hold up to aging. Most wines are made with the intention that they will be opened within a few years. The small amount of trophy wines that garner the majority of the press are the ones that have been built for longer aging, and most people don’t even buy these wines. So if you’ve been saving that white Zinfandel from 10 years ago because you think it’s getting better, might want to cut your losses now.

- AMAZING ALBUM BUY NOW

Goon Squad is so sick

- Deftones

The Deftones are by far my favorite band of all time. Ive been a fan since I first heard Adrenaline in High School in the late ninties. Their music has evolved over the years and as fan I have evolved as well with them. I cant think of a band that has grown more over the years. Its quite amazing. And if you dont have this album or any deftones album in your collection, you are missing some essential to life.

- Deftones.

Buy this. Support a great band. I'm going to Austin City Limits taping 3/29/13! Can you dig it? Suckuh!

- Buy it

Every song is awesome! Mature but not boring deftones, also aggressive without being angry.

- Awesome cd.

Love it !!!

- My god......enough said

@ DJ Krusher Really? This has to be one of their best albums yet. I have been listening to deftones for a few months. I listen a lot! My favorite albums and white pony, diamond eyes, and this one. This is one great album. All there songs are different which is why I like them.

- Album of the year

Deftones have done the impossible, Diamond Eyes was an incredible album but this surpasses it. It's an enjoyable listen start to finish.

- Awesome!

My new obsession! I can't stop listening to this album, it's amazing!

- Deftones

This whole album is simply amazing!

- Romantic(Siamese) Dreams

Some of this album sounds exactly like Smashing Pumpkins. I'm surprised no one else hears it.

- Yowza!

I luv dim sawngz. I luv dim oll. Depeche Mode and Deftones.

- Smitten

Amazing. Simply amazing. Made me instantly fall in love with the album

- Masterpiece of Art

Deftones has endured a lot over the years and stayed true to themselves. This album is the product of all that hardwork and perseverance. I liked some of there stuff here and there before this album but this Koi No Yokan is great from the first song to the last song. Good job you guys.

- Fantastic album

I always admired deftones, but have never been a die hard fan. It has all changed since the Diamond Eyes has been released. I've became THE Fan. This album is, if not better than at least at the same level, which means it IS fantastic. Absolute favorite, don't even hesitate to buy it.

- Great!

My dad knows Chi because he was the doctors for him. I feel bad for him!! And this band is awesome !

- Love the new album !

Love this album ! Recommend to deftone followers and music lovers ! !

- One of my favs

A bit of a departure from the heavy sound of Diamond Eyes, but it adds more depth to the music especially through soundscapes. Still a heavy album, one of Deftones best.

- No Groove

Where did the groove go??? I've been a fan since the day I heard The Crow 2 Soundtrack, I was addicted. For years these guys were throwing down big groovy riffs that made you want to jump and sing along at the same time, but with their past few albums it's just a bunch of off-time beats that I personally can't get into. It's no surprise though, every good band eventually goes downhill usually after 3 or 4 albums why not the Deftones too right.

- Amazing Album

Powerful enough to work out to & smooth enough to relax to. Perfect balance of beauty & pain. One or two songs won't do, you need to listen to them all to feel this album. Amazing. I'm hooked.

- Awesome

You can play this one straight through, definitely my favorite Deftones album.

- Nothing I Expected; Everything I Wanted

Every new Deftones album is a complete departure from the its predecessor, and Koi No Yokan is no different in that respect. What makes Koi special is that, after only a few listens, you'll notice just how seamlessly it fits into the Deftones discography on account of its newness. Koi No Yokan is to Diamond Eyes what their '03 self-titled is to White Pony and what White Pony was to Around the Fur. It is so completely different, and not just from Diamond Eyes, but from everything else the Deftones have recorded, that only the familiar ear can identify them on first-listen. At the same time, Koi reminds me just enough of Saturday Night Wrist and the '03 self-titled that I've begun listening to them all together. To those of us that have been with this band for a while, somewhere in the mixture—readily identifiable once the slow, crooning vocals spread out over the near-transient guitar work and stylized beats—the sound of the Deftones is unmistakable. Everything we expect from them is here: The lyrics are sharp, but the vocals rely on the music of the words as much as their meanings; the drums are never repetitive, and never more (or less) than absolutely necessary; and the guitar is brilliant, brooding and then explosive, taking and then relinquishing the lead at the perfect moments, and scans a modal variety more than sufficient to keep a listener's interest. When each of the parts come together, they carry immense emotional power. The songs, individually, have their own peaks and valleys of affective presence; listening to the album straight through feels like an event. It can be, given the right circumstances, exhausting. But that's because it's good! Five stars. No hesitation.

- Progressive and original

Dont get me wrong...relative to other stuff in my music collection, this album gets 5 stars, but its hard not to rank it based on previous albums, and for that it gets a 4. Its a great album, but going up against around the fur is hard to beat. I have been jamming this hard for weeks, and I love everything about it except for the way they produced the drums. On previous albums it sounded like the snare was going to bust every time he hit it, but in this album the drumming is a little more muted. I wish it was still a centerpiece. also, a couple songs feel like they lack a chorus or bridge or something, almost like its a 5 min. verse. Again I am just being really picky. Trust me, you will blast this album over and over again. Really good.

- Best album of 2012

Entombed is my favorite song off the album. Can't wait to see them in Norfolk in March!

- Underpriced

Why 7.99? This deserves at least $12. Definitely their best album. The sleek major label production really takes it to the next level. They've learned how to work in that setting and use it to their advantage. Big ups.

- Missing the days of Chi!

While I am one of the guys longest and truest fans and will always love their music, I do miss the days of Chi. I am obviously biased in my opinion therefore I will always love the music regardless I can't help but be vividly aware of the impact that losing Chi has had on the music. Not only a beautiful person, Chi lent something magical that in my opinion at times brought a balance to Chinos sometime emo style. While I do miss the days of Chi I will still buy and support my favorite band of all time The Deftones. Love you guys and thanks for keeping on! Dawn G.

- Deftones

Leathers! One of their top 10 songs of all time. Sick Album!!

- Go Listen To Something Else

It's been how many years now that the evolution of the Deftones music has been taking place and yet there are those still stuck on "Adrenaline" through "White Pony". Admittedly "White Pony" is one of the best discs released since the Grunge era and was really the beginning of the Deftones maturing and evovling musically. "Adrenaline" to me was immature musically and seemed aimed straight at the misfit teens of the world. " Around The Fur" showed progress, but still felt like it was aimed at the angry teens of the world. That said, get over it or move on detractors. The Deftones you listened to when you were a rebellious 15 year old are not the same, just as you likely aren't. They haven't sold out, they have simply toned it down and focused more on textures and melody rather than aggression. A group that "Sells Out" is a group that completely revamps themselves to sell more music. That simply is not the case here as the Deftones sound remains at it's core and the group has had no issues selling albums since "White Pony".

- Great album

Great album! If you haven't bought it then buy it. Poltergeist and tempest are my favorite songs on the album. Glad to see they are still sounding great just wish I could say the same about Korn and Limp Bizket.

- Love this one!

Have the Deftones ever made a bad album?? no! I've been listening to this nonstop.

- wow

this is nothing less than amazing, I hear Singapore had an affect on the Deftones as well, thank you guys for changing a time in my life.

- Deftomaniac

Never Disappointed by them. Great Album, definitely more mellow, but still awesome!!

- DOPE

Meth for you're ears!

- Deftones

This band is amazing. They are kinda beginning to remind me of my faorlite band of all time "Bad Brains". I was raised in Sacramento with these cats. Abe and Camilo. I recall sneaking in to see "Adrenaline" - Songs like 7 words. They were a hardcore band at the local venue cattle club. They destroyed all including my good friends "Will Haven" and Korn. This Record shows incredible diversity and Franks evolved tripp outs, struggles with and sheer character. They've battled their demons and their epical rock stars! Buddy -sts

- Koi no yokan

I love deftones they are my favorite all time band. I highly recommend these album it's got all I love from deftones chinos melodic voice to the variety of instruments that make a beautiful combination!!!
