Rebel Soul is a blend of the best styles of American music. Rock a Billy and Funk. The beat and lyrics make you want to get up and dance, it also reminds me of good 70's music. The reviews that are negative maybe from younger people. I have listened to the cd several times, and thoroughly enjoy it! People who are 40+ and never listened to kid rock should listen to the whole cd I think you will convert.

Where in the heck is the rock in Kid Rock? Kid Country now! Or maybe he is trying to be john mellencamp? Seriously Kid you were my favorite artist, and the best live artist with hard beats, "FU attitude rap lyrices, with strong mixes of rock and roll, but man this stuff has gone weak. I miss the day not being able to play all of your songs to my kids. Heck now I jam this with my great grandma and she will think... " What a nice sweet man." I seriously played Kids last album at a family get together in the garage and everyone loved it. Try doing that Histoy of Rock, Devil without a cause, Polyfuse Method. I blame Sheryl Crow. Stupid Picture song started all this crap. ... Joe "C" would kick you in your balls if here were still alive today.

Another kickin album. I love how I can play a bunch of Kid Rocks music and get such a variety, all of which that makes me want to boogie. Truly a fantastic compilation that didn't disappoint.

Kid rock - just when I thought you might get back on the wagon..too slow. The best music was in the 90's and early 00's..sadly. I was looking forward to this.

He started his career with a gimmick (Joe C) and a decent hook writer (Uncle Cracker). Since then, he's made a living rapping over every famous backing track in history, or doing awful covers of songs that were bigger than him. His latest gimmick - selling out to southern mouth breathers with his "I Love The USA" and "I Love The Troops" transparent drivel. His songs remind me of all the South Park "I love America" mock country songs. And his Detroit song… Did he read "Writing Commercial Jingles For Dummies"? Horrible.

Kid always delivers but this album as a whole is the best . Love every one of these songs.

Like it. Songs are just a tad shallow, but good. If you like this, go to Soundcloud, and search for Andrew Schubert. There is a song called "Mason Jar" that is just outstanding. He should have a CD out soon. If you like this, you will like his stuff, too! Good job, KR!

Pay the 10$ for this album it's worth it this is ROCK-N-ROLL not the crap you hear on the radio you're lucky to get music this cheap I would easily pay 5 extra $'s like the old days when music was on shiny round discs. Rebel Soul is one of the best albums of this past year in my opinion. Kid Rock never disappoints when it comes to the music he puts out. And although I was hoping he would give us one more rap album for 2012 I can't complain. Every single track on this album is great to listen to.

THIS IS CRAP, pure and simple. A rocker wannabe and this album is boring and derivative. Typical.

I love old Kid Rock… this is some weak country music. I would rather he NOT made this available on iTunes. What a waste of money.

Great collection! Personal favorites are The Mirror, Chicken in the Pen, and Cucci Galore. Kid Rock does the music he wants to do, and he always makes it work! He is a musician and a performer who can jump genres and make it work. Not everyone can do that. He is extremely talented and always keeps it real!

You truly delivered with this album. So freak nag glad to see your stuff on iTunes.

I have been a Kid Rocker for 15 years and he never ceases to amaze! His newer country rock is as awesome As his older rappy stuff because it ALL come from him. The lyrics and music are all RJ Ritchie and he has grown with us and the nation. Totally worth the money and time to really hear his words. I like Happy New Year and God Bless Rock and Roll, personally. They r great songs. Check them out! Thanks, Bob, for another fantastic album!

Well I enjoyed watching and listening to Kid in Iraq and was thankful for him and many others coming over to play for us. But I will have to agree that the music is a little soft now. I'm not to sure about the choice of words used in let's ride. We aren't trained to kill babies. Being that you've been there you should have picked up on what we are truly trained to do for this great Nation we have. I know you are trying to help and am thankful. But be careful and research before you through a lyric like that in any song involving soldiers, marines, navy and airmen. Hope you bring some old Kid back next time.

Truly one of our most talented, versatile musicians of this generation!!! Always impressed and surprised!!!

In all honesty, I like some of his old and new stuff. Even the last 2 albums had their songs that were worth purchasing the albums. It all comes down to what taste in music you like. If you liked Born Free, All Summer Long, and Picture feat. Sheryl Crow. I recommend you at least purchase the song Let's Ride from this album. But if you don't like those tunes and only like his early work, then don't purchase this album or any of its songs.

I remember in the late 90s when he came on the scene, it was good stuff and he still rocks it. The naysayers can stick to Bieber if that's what floats their boat !

This album is amazing.. The bad reviews are from people who don't agree with social and political views, so they bash him to try to discredit his views. If you are actually looking for a good album you can listen to in your car or at the gym this is it!!!

I love Kid Rock's new style a hell of a lot more than his old stuff. It's nice to hear soul come back to rock. It's been missing in the music industry for a long time.

Music has been terrible, rock is not the same. Country is very mainstream now, always liked the country with more feeling like Johnny cash. This cd is a happy medium. Something I have been waiting for. I was running out of new music, great cd, this and born free.
