Unlistenable.."The Creator" of what exactly?

I'm not a Tyler fan, but this is the only album that has some good songs, I would recommend this album too.

His music is so abstract, he could go from the calmest song he's ever made to screaming angrily into the mic in a second, all while keeping great rhymes. But it is still a shame he is more popular than earl.

Wish I could put a negative rating. Lives off fan boys buying his stuff. Wonder if he ever has listened to rap before himself.

These lyrics are terrifying and I love rap hip hop jazz lyrical k pop j pop EVERYTHING but these lyrics are just down right horrid and I thought Amanda bynes had mental issues...

ok, so first off, get the song "yonkers" out of your head don't get me wrong, it's amazing but, it's sort of overplayed and T (i will refer to tyler as T) said that he's happy it worked and he doesn't wanna hear about it anymore because he feels that he put out better music than that one song. Let's start the REAL REVIEW. First off with the intro track "Wolf" you meet the main 2 characters of the album, Sam and Wolf and it's just an intro but there's some dialouge and some harmonizing and the intro is just summarized the whole album for you, it's tyler complaining about stuff he doesn't like. But, that's what he comes off as, a rapper who doesn't know what to do but, rap about problems. On the sscond track Jamba that's when it starts to get crazy and that's basically the introduction to sam saying "stay out our way in you stay in yours" in the intro, this song is one of the eh songs in the album to me but, it's pretty good. 3rd track is cowboy And in that song he specifically says "and everytime you see a roach you think of my eh?" And that's tyler saying that to all fans that won't dig deeper into the music. 4th track is awkward and this is when wolf starts to hang out with salem allegedly sam's so said girlfriend and is wolf's password and this goes as a continuation of the song "her" from the goblin album. This is one of my favorite songs on the album personally. 5th track is DOMO23 And this part of the story, samfins out that his enemy WOLF is hanging out with salem his girlfriend and this song is one of the middle points in the album. 6th track is another personal favorite and is called Answer and this song is anout how T would drop all the fame for a loving father and he continues to rant about how much he hates him but if he calls him one day, he wants him to pick up the phone to get to know tyler. 7th track is Slater Slater= T's Bike. 8th track is 48 This song talks about sam's life about how he sell's crack or cocaine they call him "mr. Treat your nose" and you should call him when you need it for the low, ( if you don't get it listen to the song) 9th track is colossus Colossus is named after T'a favorite ride at six flags magic mountain in Buena Park California. This song is MY FAVORITE because he play's two characters, not Wolf and Sam but, him and a crazy fan that told T that he thinks about his face and doesn't try to and T said that he bet nobody listened to Bastard (his mixtape from 2009) and he's only noticed for his song yonkers and in this song he says "i'm grateful it worked I attacked and I conquered" and this definetly is a turning point of the album. 9th track is Party isn't over/ Campfire/Bimmer it's three ballads in one and out of all of them Bimmer to me is the best one. It's just a filler to the next song. 10th Song is IFHY This is a collaboration of song's from WOLF and SAM, Sam sings wolf's version of the song and Wolf sings sam's song. It's an amazing contribution to the album and it's placed right after Wolf compares salem to a E30 Bimmer T's favorite BMW and featured on this track is Pharrell Williams and is vocals are what was needed to set this song apart from the others. 11th song is Pigs This song is sam's song and he's talking about how much people hate him now and Wolf stole his spotlight and he thinks he's not accepted anymore. So he starts a couple of riot with friends. 12th song is Parking Lot I know that this song is Sam singing but i don't know all the facts. 13th Song is Rusty and this song has verses from Domo Genesis, and Earl Sweatshirt members of Odd Future. The song is amazing and Domo starts off the song wuth his verse and he just sounds hungry, hungrier than I ever heard this guy spit. Tyler's verse talks about he never expected to make it this big and said if he could he would like to undo all of the fame and he said "sick of getting bigger like i sneezed on adele". Then earl's verse is what we expect from Earl amazing and he comes off calm but still he's hungry. 14th song is TrashWang Trashwang = Trashtalk and GolfWang combined. This song is another filler and his accompanied by the vocals of Nakel Smith, Jasper, Lucas and Taco this song is amazingly funny and They said they had a blast making this song. After that song the 15th Track is Treehome95 and is done by her amazingness Erykah Badu and her vocals in this song compaired to ither songa are ok not the best but she still sounds AMAZING and it accompanies T's ballad really nice. 16th Track is Tamale Tamale is sort of a turn-up song and it's tyler just being himself on a track, he talks about bimmers and many more things he loves and hates it's simply a compilation of his thoughts and him thinking for himself. 15th Track is Lone Lone Wolf- the album name and the last song on the album go together I bet you didn't know that. This song T raps about his Late Grandmother and how he wishes he would've soent more time with her because when he was kicked out of his mothers house he was sleeping at her apartment on the couch behind a Ralph's in Ladera Heights. This song is really touching and you really have to dig into the song to realize how much of an amazing lyricist he is.. That's the end.. Phew.

This is my favorite album of the last 3 years. The production is amazing, and the rapping along with the storytelling makes it even greater. It makes me feel like I'm at a summer camp. I mean, it DOES take place at Camp Flog Gnaw. If you haven't heard it yet, stop sleeping and peep it now!!!

so recently I've become much more acquainted with the diverse musical world of hip hop/r&b/rap. out of all of the artists that I've listened to, I must say that tyler and his odd future gang are the most original and artistic individuals I've found. from the moment this album starts, you will be locked in a non stop momentum of trippy synth notes and inventive poetic rhymes. while the album serves its purpose as a fun album with good singles to play at a party, the depth of the concepts within this album Tyler's discography is refreshing and original. if you want to hear something new that breaks the status quo for hip hop, this album is a must buy.

I love tyler the creator. People say that his lyrics are meaningless, but how? Most other rappers would rap about money, and drugs, because that's all that is cool or mainstream. But most of Tyler's music he talks about inner personal anger; and things that he wants to express through beats. Tyler is truly for people who listen closely to the meaning of his lyrics, then listen to Yonkers, and call him a satenist or devil worshipper. He is an atheist, so he just makes fun of religion. I'm a Christian, but that is Tyler's choice, not mine. And rapping isn't even his main priority. Tyler is made for people that understand him and his music. And that's it. Sorry for making this too long; I just wanted to make a point.

Tyler comes a long way from his previous album, 'Goblin'. Tyler seems to rap less about rape and more about life events in this album. Influences from Isaac Hayes and Stevie Wonder can be heard throughout the album.

This album is crazy. The beats are a hip hop refreshment not your typical 808 and hi hats. This is by far his best work.

Such a polarizing artist, either you love him or hate him, no in between. I only learned of Tyler a couple months ago. His ability to storytell can be cinematic at times. Try not to take his lyrics too literally. At 20, this guy has plenty of runway ahead of him!

I don't usually write reviews on albums but I will this time. Not being an immature 12 year old who just SAYS they like this type of music for the sake of sounding cool, I will offer my opinion considering I have been listening to Tyler and his music for about 4 years now. This album deserves 3 to 4 stars. Lets start with that. It isn't bad at all by any means, but I did enjoy Goblin better. I think he's maturing as a rapper and anyone who says it's really bad doesn't get Tyler. That's simple. Not all of the songs on Wolf are great, but a number of them are. Songs I enjoy are Jamba, Domo 23, IFHY, Rusty and 48. Some others are just okay but overall, from an actual Tyler fan, I don't think this is bad. It's him maturing, it's good rap.

I appreciate that artists grow and develop different sounds through time. But the majority of this album is depressing. Each to their own and I am still a huge odd future fan. This doesn't feel like an odd future album except for Jamba and Rusty.

This album is amazing! Tyler really out did himself on this one. For me, the best songs in the album are probably Cowboy, Slater, Answer, Pigs and Rusty. *NOTE* the song Bimmer, is a bit longer than at the end of the Domo23, however, it's not an actual proper song. It's something like 2 minutes. Still pretty good!

As a huge Tyler fan I was very excited for the album. At first listen I didn't take to it kindly but I revisited it and there are a lot of very well made songs. His beats, lyrics and lack of features make this a refreshing album.

Just what the world needs right now. More mysogynistic outpourings and lyrics that are more schoolboy than insightful. Utter garbage. A shame given the top notch production and interesting musicality. The lyrical theme remains questionable at best and if this is what people an to listen to then we have a lot to worry about. The world is indeed a sadder place for this album being out there and if it influences the attititude of younger listeners then its going to get a lot sadder yet.

This album is just brilliant, no words can describe how awesome, genius and perfect it is. I love EVERY song!! But if you're looking for the highlights of this album, go for Trashwang, awkward, jamba or colossus :)

The quality of lyrics from goblin is still there. One of my biggest problems with goblin was that musically it was pretty crap, how ever, i believe that this has changed in wolf. Many of the songs have a melody for a start. Domo 23 and jambo are the best tracks.

More rubbish cheap talking nonsense from the modern rap world

The fact E.Badu & Pharrell alone shows that he worked hard on this - I enjoy the intimacy and storytelling of the album, for example Ty going back into his past about his dad 'answer', his grandma 'lone' and his relationships 'awkward, bimmer and ifhy' love the album and the features.

This is art and intellect.

I found it quite strange how people can come and complain about this album, if you bothered to listen to his last 2 solo albums then you would be able to recognise that the hatred and negativity is what he does best. So stop complaining and realise how unique Tyler is and for some of us the kind of escape from all that mainstream money grabbing chart music. And to all the people who think he is AMAZING, listen to Colussus.

Great album, Best song by Far is Rusty. Tyler is a lyrical genius. I still preferred Goblin but this album is worth a purchase for any fan. Possibly one of the greatest albums I've bought in a long time. He deserves more recognition for his work. He's actually one of the artists in hip hop that has meaning to their work nowadays

This album was weird, I still bought the deluxe edition hard copy but I'm battling between giving it 1 star or 5, obviously this is a quite a different album to goblin and shows some sort of maturation of Tyler. At times and on first glance it is just depressing and seems like he has had sleep deprivation but when you listen and focus to the individual songs, the music and lyrics for that matter are actually superb. For instance I didn't even notice 'rusty' and 'cowboy' really at first but now they are a couple of my favourite songs. Overall this is a really good album you just need to give it time and patience

the first time i listened to the album through i wasn't too sure about it, i think this was because the album lacks stand out songs that were evident in previous work but as i listened to it more it did grow on me after i had grasped the concept more. tyler has defiantly matured since goblin & i feel he has progressed. i believe that this album tells a much better story than previous albums but if you have not listened to him before i think you would need to listen to old tyler to understand his music better. my favourite songs on this are Slater & Bimmer because i believe that frank ocean contributes a very strong set of vocals on those particular tracks. overall not a bad album at all.

everyone is complaining how he is just another rapper who smokes weed and is homophobic, firstly he states in loads of his songs, not all on this album, that he docent smoke so your wrong. Also everyone is saying he's homophobic. He's not, frank ocean is one of his best friends and is on loads of his tracks on other albums. And stop complaining about his flow. Thats how he raps, if you knew anything about tyler you would know that thats just how he is. And his lyrics actually mean something in a lot of songs, maybe some are a bit inappropriate but get over it. Its not like he's rapping about getting cars and cash and chicks.

What surpsed me about this record is that tyler seems oddly mature when compared to the last few records, its very chilled out and the vibe is more creepy than scary. its also hios most musical album yet, full of great production and improved songwriting.
