Chris Young is the best voice in Nashville, hands down. His voice can make average songs great. With that being said, most of these songs are below average. Aw Naw, Who I Am With You, Goodbye, are a few that make the cut, but its not like the "Neon" album where you can pop in the CD and drive and love every song. Still love him, he's still the best, and still dying to hear his next album.

I think Chris Young is this generations Conway Twitty! By far he is best ballad singer in country music! Like the up tempo, but definately ballads are his "sweet spot"!

I've been listening to this record since Chris Young launched the preview on Sept. 10 and I have yet to skip a single one of the 11 tracks on it. Occasionally, I will repeat a song over and over -- like 'Hold You To It', the album's most danceable tune -- so that I can learn the words, but skip one? Not on your life. It's all here -- the new, uptempo, more rockin' songs, the mid-tempo grooves and the down home ballads that have been his bread and butter up to now. The best of those is 'Goodbye', which depicts a couple at a crossroads of a relationship that has the guy reassuring his lady that what they have is 'too good for goodbye'. Believe me, Chris Young sings it better than I can tell it. In fact, he sings everything better than anybody else in country music, if you ask me, and this record has been specifically engineered to highlight Chris' spectacular voice. Much is being made of the current state of country music, with most folks complaining that country sounds a lot like pop or rock these days. While it's true that this record has more uptempo 'party' songs on it than Chris Young's previous offerings, please don't let that stop you from listening to it --- all of it -- before you write it off as a sell-out to some current country music trend. 'Nothin' But The Cooler Left', 'Who I Am With You' and especially 'Text Me Texas' and 'Forgiveness' are as country as country gets. I've listened to and appreciated other artists in the past, but with 'A.M.' Chris Young has earned a permanent home in my CD player.

Love his voice, his music. Love this album. True Chris Young fans will appreciate this album.

I have followed Chris Young since he released his first album and love his music. Every song sounds different and relates to something that everyone's felt in their life at one point I time. Being able to listen to a song and feel like he wrote it knowing what you were going through makes him an amazing artist. Who I am with you and good bye are my favorites off this album!

Ever since I saw him perform at The Bing Lounge in downtown Portland....I fell even more in love with his music and voice. He's here to stay!

I wish I was Chris Young.

I really like Chris' voice, but the richness of his vocals from his previous CDs is missing for the most part. Text Me Texas is worthy of his voice, but for the most part, Young sings at a higher, more fervant pitch as the majority of the tracks have a country-rock flavor. Not a bad CD, but not as solid as his previous effort, Neon.

This album has it all. Each song is great, Chris Young's voice is beyond beautiful in each song. I hope these songs get a lot of radio air play. The song Forgiveness is my favorite. I love love love this album.

A.M. is an incredibly solid album with such a wide variety of songs. "Aw Naw" and "A.M." are party songs, while songs like "Text Me Texas" and "Forgiveness" show that softer side of Chris that we all grew to love. My top picks from the album are "Nothin' But the Cooler Left" and "Who Am I With You."

AM is Chris's BEST album to date! He just keeps getting better and better. he has grown so much as an artist and a songwriter. The imagery in his songs is beautiful and brought to life by his amazing vocal talents. You will NOT regret adding AM to your collection!

As some of the others have stated, this is very dissapointing compared to his past albums. Very much a rock theme going on. We don't need another Jason Aldean, we need more traditional artists and music. LIke the album, and still think Chris has the best voice in "Country" but hope the next album sounds more country, but I doubt it. If your looking for more traditional stuff, the latest album from Easton Corbin is REALLY good. Also check out Clay Underwood...virtualy unkown as far as radio play goes, but sorta sounds like Clay Walker back in the day...

This album honors his traditional sound, and his strong ballads. However, he mixes in some up tempo and in your face songs which are a bit jarring at first to those who only appreciate and recognize this man for his ballads. He proves that vocally he is capable of anything. He perfectly blends traditional country with modern country in a way no other artist has attempted, and no other artist is capable of doing. He is an incredible vocalist, and his career will undoubtedly get a boost with this album.

I agree with the other reviewer that said it was bittersweet. I Love Chris Young ever since the (Black dress song) but A.M. for me is disappointing. I don't know why he felt he needed to change his direction and become another Luke Bryan or Jason Aldean. While I understand you have to show growth as an artist but you don't have to completely change your style. Look at Lady A from each album on they have grown and they have stuck to their original country style and are still crazy popular & talented.
