This cd was kick ass and i am glad that big and rich came to my town, Great Falls, MT. Horse of a Different color was just an awesome cd hands down.

Ok...I say this on practically every review that I write just 'cause I'm so passionate about it...COUNTRY MUSIC HAS GONE OUT THE WINDOW!!!!! THESE people are playing on country radio??? WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED??? They give a bad name to country music!!! Big Time is the only track on here that even comes close to country music (the actual stuff). Holy Water is a good song, too. But that's it. Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy is...not even a song. Y'all who claim to be country fans but love this stuff...do me a favor, will you??? Listen to some George Strait. Then come back and listen to this. Then tell me if this is true country. I'm serious. Do it.

I use to be a huge country fan, but nowadays I don't listen to country anymore, save Big and Ritch, and this album has got to be my favorite of all time. It doesn't matter what type of music it is this is raw talent, and the messages that are conveyed on this album are amazing, some are just fun, and some are extremaly deep, either way there is somthing for everyone, and there is somthing to learn from this album.

I don't believe that I am the first person to say that has lost its edge, otherwise wimped out. Big & Rich are a much needed burst of fresh air for the genre, whether or not you like them. This album has not left my cd rotation since I got-in October '04. They balance the laid-back ("Big Time"), with the heavier stuff ("Live This Life"), and the downright zany ("Save A Horse...). It's one of those albums I'll still be playing ten years from now. It's that good.

This is one of the best country albums you can get. My friend, Katie, burned all the songs for me and I fell in love with the songs almost at once. (Even my mom likes it!) But, getting to the point, Big&Rich is pheomenal. Their style is very down to earth and not out there. The best songs to get are: Rollin', Holy Water, Six Foot Town, Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy, (duh), Love Train, Deadwood Mountain, and Live This Life. I hope this was helpful! Enjoy!

This album is worth more then the stars that I can give, seeing that I was born and raised listening to country, I know my country. But to keep this short and sweet, Get Save a Horse (Ride a cowboy.)

PROBABLY THE ONLY GOOD SONG ON THIS CD BUT STILL, I LIKE IT A LOT! WHAT REALLY MADE IT GOOD WAS WHEN DREW LACHEY AND HIS PARTNER ON DANCING WITH THE STARS PREFORMED IT! This is one of the best country songs I have ever heard!

"Rollin' (The Ballad of Big & Rich)" It is hard to find a bad song that a band has written about itself. Or maybe I can think of one. This certainly is a good one. I rather like the two-part harmony refrain. Very good melody, though not terribly original. What I'm trying to figure out is why they featured Cowboy Troy in the latter half of the song. Certainly he's part of the band and as a Black entertainer his presence helps them live up to the song's opening motto "Welcome to Country Music without Prejudice." But I'm not sure it helps the song. Otherwise the nods to artists past to build "pasture cred" and the background vocals are very nice touches. "Live This Life" The vocals in the sample and the lyric "Met a girl in chair with wheels but no one else would see her" caught me. As it turns out this is a profoundly thought-provoking song. Now I'm not sure if John Rich and Big Kenny are Christian or not, but even without a direct reference to Jesus in other parts of the song there are some deep values of faith here. I hope others get the idea. It's a bit out of character compared to other tracks by Big & Rich but they do it so well and I hope they release other tracks in this vein. "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" My first track from Big & Rich and probably the best of their typical work. The clever accapella opening is followed by a plink and a thunderous guitar riff that should go down in Country and Rock history. The Country banjo and fiddle work thoughout work belies rather un-Country-like rhythm of the lyrics and the "break it down now" story telling near the end of the song. No, this is not your grandfather's Country music. Big & Rich are certainly singing about cows, horses, and other familar themes, but the twist they give the topics drag the genre into a new era. It might not be the 21st Century, but it is new. All-in-all, I would classify this piece as brilliant.

I think this album is excellent. At first I wasn't a huge fan but after listening to this CD as well as seeing them live they are absolutely one of a kind, genuine guys that want to just have fun and that comes through loud and clear in their music!

I love "Horse of a Different Color." It has great songs. They're also great for truck driving. Whenever my dad and I go to the dump or any other place for that matter, we always listen to this CD. I recieved "Comin' To Your City" for Christmas but it just can't top this album. It's really unconventianal, but that's what makes "Horse of a different color" so fun.

This album is by far the best that i have ever listened to. I have grown up listening to country, and after a while, the twang was getting to me, and Big & Rich provided a well needed burst of fresh, new, music. This band has set the standard's for 'southern rock', a blend of country and rock. I think that this is a great CD for anyone, no matter what type of music you like! Big & Rich hold the soundtrack to my life!

So this one, song save a house ride a cowboy is really good the rest is well, ok . But i think that a ton of people would like this album. But dont take my word for it listen to it.

Ya gotta love Big and Rick..They are just a couple of guys out having a good time and their music reflects that except for their ballad Holy Water which is based on physical abuse. So saddle up to the nearest bar and grab a couple of cold ones with Big and Rich.

I like this band because its one of the few country bands where almost all of there songs are fast moving and accually exiting. I first heard this band in this CD when my dad got it. I've liked the band ever since. Rascal Flatts is good too, but all of their songs are too slow if you ask me.

What the h ell is this? Please tell me this is not what country is evolving into, because it is definitely not a good path musically. How can people like this band? WOOOO, did you hear that one song that sounds like every other song Big & Rich has ever released, that was awesome!!!!! Please, if there is a God, let another Garth Brooks roll around to save the genre.
