Arab Architects
Are strung up by their necks
Singing
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Bless it be the lord
And now I'm drifting through the streets
Drinking gypsy wine singing
I can't believe how strange it is to be alive right now
I see the good people trying
I remember when comfort was not an option
(But we were younger then)
Disciplined and strange
Focused and restrained
We were younger then
If you need some quiet time
To process all that guilt
Well the desert lasts for days and out there
There's nothing else to do
Round here they turn ocean into land
And sell that land for gold
Use that gold to build themselves bigger better homes

It's mediocre. There are 5-6 songs worth putting on repeat but nothing more. The other tracks are forgettable and 'Like You Do' should have been scrapped...it's silly and out of place. I had high hopes but maybe my expectations of music have changed to the point where I might have to let go of this band.
The first single, Flicker, Fade is very reminiscent of "old" Taking Back Sunday. It sounds like a track off Where You Want to Be which is a very good thing. It seems that they haven't really been the same since that album. While they've released some good songs since thing, they haven't released an album as cohesive as WYWTB or Tell All Your Friends since. Hopefully this is a good sign of what's to come.
At all. Sounds like circa survive. Only one song was recognizable as a TBS song.
TBS Never fails! They are forever fav
For eight (8) years now I've kept TBS in my headphones, car speakers, & stereo. I'm 28 now and when I listen to their songs it's a therapy session, a one night stand, an ex girl friend, it's the first date I had with my wife. Now married with a daughter I've matured and grown with these guys. Flicker Fade is the next chapter bringing all the history depth and passion a fan could ask for. My deepest gratitude and appreciation for another chapter. My kids will grow up knowing your music l! ,) Mitch San Diego
Flicker, Fade is quickly becoming one of my favorite TBS songs. I have high hopes for this album and really think it could be one of their strongest that they've put out for a while.
This song sounds great have every album and yet I love them seen them twice And I feel this there stuff will sound like some of there old stuff which is awesome!
This is what I remember Taking Back Sunday as. I feel like this album is fun and upbeat as we used to remember TBS. The past two albums have been nothing but sorrow and depressing music. Welcome back.
One of the few bands that I grew up listening too that stills keeps going!!! Can't wait for the rest of the album!!!
Gonna be the album of 2014!
For any that don't know, this album was 100% TBS's work, just like TAYF. There was no studio involvement in the writing unlike some of their prior albums. It clearly shows the talent of TBS still has and the bold directions they chose to go. The lyrical quality of TBS is as good as ever and at times, more direct than you're used to. Adam’s vocal are top notch as usual displaying both emotion and power; Mark's drumming in this album, I feel, is his best work ever; the work of Eddie, John, and Shaun is seamless musical magic. Each song has its own personality and style reminiscent of past TBS glory but also allowing for brave new sounds. Great album all around!
Oh my fuxkin' god, it's been a long time since, I heard an album like this...thank fuxkin' god, it's a great album, thank you. P.S. What took you guys so long?
beautiful jam. passionate and catchy.
They never disappoint! Every song they come out with is a hit. Love it. Can't wait until March 😁
Only enjoyed a couple of the songs.
Adam, you owe me child support!
You can't help but know this is the coming classic album of 2014 we will all be meandering back to. The song just pulls your toes into the warm sands of summer. I definitely see this as the norm for Taking Back Sunday's pull you in and throw you back on your toes jam. Their music is always fun when the sun is to the west, a cool beer is waiting at home, and friends or family are stopping by. Love this band, they always represent.
Taking Back Sunday seem to reinvent themselves with every album. This album feels more old school and it's utterly perfect.
Wasn't too sure the first time I listened to the album, but after a second (and third and fourth..) I can't get enough of it!
I love the first song, I can't wait for the full album. I look forward to singing along with you in Hollywood on the 27th!!!
Streamed this album earlier and it was amazing!! Flicker, Fade is an amazing song! Stood A Chance & It Takes More are also amazing! It's classic TBS! Definitely worth every penny!
It's different, it wasn't what I was expecting but it sure is dam good!
Wasn't able to receive the song 'Stood a Chance'
Great CD by one of the BEST bands!!
This album reminds me so much of their older style of play. Every song is fantastic. Absolutely love Better Homes and Gardens.
All 11 tracks are flawless!!!
TBS is my favorite band. I didn't like their last album that much (of course, I liked it, just the least out of all of their stuff) and listening to Flicker, Fade feels like returning. High hopes for the rest of the album!
I've been with TBS since the very beginning, I love their stuff. This album doesn't feel very powerful to me, but I'm gonna give it a couple weeks and see how I feel then. I loved their last album, so it's not that I don't like their newer stuff. On a side note, Adam, for the love of Pete could you cut your freaking hair?
Guys, this record is rock solid. A perfect mix of old and new TBS. The songs are very well produced and structure. The melodies are catchy on the first listen, too. My only complaint is that I don't feel it's as lyrically strong as previous records, but I'll need to give it a few more listens. All in all, Taking Back Sunday is back!
待ちきれない!!
never ceases to amazing me. don’t stop making music dudes.
I REALLY LOVE THIS ALBUM!!! However, I would've loved it even more if they did a little more with John Nolan's vocals. :)
TAKING BACK SUNDAY!!! This album will not let you down. It's brings that loving mixture of old and new TBS to the forefront of a spectacularly blended new experience. This will make you feel like you've never felt before, especially in the crotch area. Rock and roll had been taken to a whole other level.
TBS is one of my all time favorite bands! I love this song and can't wait for the full album to come out!
Upon listening to this album all the way through for the first time I was a little disappointed because it was so different from their previous albums. Then I thought about it a little, they've reinvented themselves with each album they've released. This album is the most soft album to date but it's still as good as each one before it. I was expecting more upbeat songs similar to those in their last album (Taking Back Sunday) and New Again but it's great all the same.
This album definitely flows. My top tracks are "All the Way," "Better Homes and Gardens," and "We Were Younger Then."
Love these guys but their last effort just wasn't what I was looking for. If the rest of the album follows the example of this single I think we are in for a great Taking Back Sunday album this go around.
Flicker, fade already sounds like an anthem for the album and i can not wait for whatever other amazing songs this record will bring.
This album is going to be gold. "Flicker, Fade" is already a new favorite of mine. Every album from them gets better and better in my opinion. They continue to grow and mature with their music, and it shows. Can't wait to hear the rest! #justsaying
The album is a great blend of many of Taking Back Sunday's previous albums, all the while it is innovative as their looms a clear desire of the band to experiment with thier sound. Arguably their best album since Tell All Your Friends.
I have been a TBS fan for over a decade now and I will never stop looking forward to a new album!
First of all, I think this album is great! It’s sounds like a mix between their old and new material. You can definitely tell that they’re progressing as well. Every song brings something to the table, and trust me, you’re not leaving hungry! Good stuff.
Flicker Fade on its own is better than anything on the last album. This is who TBS is supposed to sound. Can't wait for the rest of the album.
Can't wait. If the rest of the album is as good as Flicker, Fade, we're in for a real treat!
TBS, you keep getting better and better, amazing work!
This album is is up against WYWTB for the second best TBS album there's not one song I don't like I love every album but this one separates itself great stuff
This has been my favorite band for ten years now and you guys never fail! Every record is amazing and great in it's own way but the new sound to this album is new but good change it's good to see you guys try new things that work well this is bye far the best album seance louder now probably one of the top 3 best tbs albums great job guy!!!
Love this song: Flicker, fade! I love all the songs of this band, is the best rock ever made. I wish them the best to be VERY popular and famous like the artists of this days! They deserve it.
Possibly new favorite albulm since Where You Want To Be? Idk.. Been listening to TBS since I was 13 and now I'm 22 and truly these guys have gotten way better. Keep it up guys, don't ever stop making music.
This is the TBS I love
