Sean Paul - Temperature

Temperature by Sean Paul Song Info

"Temperature" is a reggae–dancehall song written by Sean Paul for his third album The Trinity. The song reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, Sean Paul's third U.S. #1 along with "Get Busy" and "Baby Boy" with Beyonce. "Temperature" was the (second US single) from Sean Paul's The Trinity album. The song was produced by Rohan "Snowcone" Fuller and received a positive reception from music critics. The song was released as the second U.S. single in the first quarter of 2006 and reached number one in the United States on the Billboard Hot 100 and became Paul's third number one hit single. It reached the top ten in Canada and France and the top twenty in the United Kingdom, peaking at #11 there. In Australia, "Temperature" debuted at number nineteen but quickly found its way to number five the following weeks. "Temperature" became Sean Paul's biggest hit single in the US. In Australia it became a smash hit, with Sean Paul making interview appearances on the Paul Celoni Radio Show, and shows alike. Even though it only spent one week at #1, as opposed to "Get Busy" and its three weeks on top, "Temperature" showed extreme longevity on The Billboard Hot 100 spending 17 weeks in the top 10. Until Nelly Furtado and Timbaland's "Promiscuous,"this was the longest run in the top ten for a single in 2006. On top of that it became Sean Paul's first single to sell an excess of one million digital downloads, earning platinum certification. The song uses the dancehall riddim "Applause". It was also used in the game Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA 2. It can be heard in the 2007 film, Norbit. Officially, there are two versions of the song. Only the use of the riddim makes both versions different. In 2008 the media reported a story regarding Stacey Gayle of New York City who experienced seizures as a result of hearing the song.

- spida pigg poppin

speak slowly and clearly

- Temperature was ok, the rest was just a waste of time.

I can't see why people like him, I just can't.

- Whaaa...?

First, I would like to say that this is not reggae at all. This is some Jamiacan guy who sounds like he is trying to talk in Spanish, but does not even know what Spain is! His lyrics are awful, and his beats are not any good either. Anybody who says this is the best album ever or Temperature is the best song ever has clearly never listened to any music, and should get a life

- His best work

Buy this album it is super awesome. especially we be burnin. and i like head to toe. but frankly, all of these songs are good. its worth evry penny.

- HOW CAN U UNDERSTAND WHAT HES SAYING????!!!

seriously people! what the hell u i dont know about u but i cant ever understand a word hes saying !~! good beats though...

- Hot! Hot!! Hot!!!

I love Sean Paul!!! He is the greatest Reggae singer in the world and no other reggae or hip-hop singer would ever take his place or ever be any better!! Also Sean Paul is HOT!!! I think he is very talanted in singing and also a great dancer! I love the songs We Be Burnin, and Tempature, they are hot songs and have a great beat to them that always get me dancing everytime I listen to them. You should buy The Trinity cd, Its awesome! You go Sean, I luv U! U are my boi 101!

If you were smart "cat_in_da_hat" you would know that Sean Paul is Jamaican, he is what they call a white Jamaican, this is because he is bi-racial N.E. ways Sean Paul's beats are what saves him other than that he wouldn't we big.

- Temperature Rocks

Temperature is awsome.... nuf said

- hey

this album deserves 1,000 stars but the max is only 5 :-(!!! i hope u make more great albums!!!

- Temperature

i love this song I have it on my cell. I listen to it every day! I do it so loud that ican't hear the person beside me screaming!

- Great Album

Very unique and yet quite mainstream.

- .......

give it up to me is HORRABLE!!!!!! but temprature ROCKS!!!!!!!

- Interesting and Catchy but . . .

I'm not really much of a Reggae kind of fan, in general, so I tend to be fairly particular about what of this genre I like. Sean Paul is catchy, but if I were to listen to his music all the time, without interspersing it with a good variety of other genres and styles, or at least, other artitsts, it would get old fast. His songs are good, but they all have a similiar sound and feel which doesn't have that really strong listen-every-day kind of resilence and longevity.

- No...just no...

This album, and this performer in general, make an mockery of what Bob Marley created. This is not Reggae, this is crap.

- I LOVE TEMPERATURE!!!!!!

Sean Paul is the KING of Ragae!! I love the beat of all of his songs but how can he sing SOOOOOOOO fast. I had to look for the lyrics to see what he is saying. For example " Temperature", I can understand the chorus but NOTHING ELSE!!!!! I LOVE HIS SONGS!!!

- I got the right temperature to listen to this Song!

TEMPERATURE ROX MY SOX! GET IT OR DIE! 2 WORDS: ME LIKEY THIS SONG

- ???

This is music? Some guy spitting out mumbled words and putting a beat behind them is MUSIC?!! Ehh...at least i'll give it props for being good dance music.

- I guess he's good, I don't know?

I can't say Sean Paul is the best singer, but he's pretty good. I mean he does rap and most rappers recemble drug sellers, but he'sO.K .

- This album is amazing

There is not one song on trinity that i dont like. I rock out all the time.

- iiT SO ROCKS!!

- The WORST Pop Music Ever made..a Disgrace to Reggae!

Sean Paul is beyond terrible. Bob Marley and Shaggy are much much better than the disgusting Sean Paul. Not one song on this album can compete with Shaggy songs like "Boombastic", "It Wasn't Me" or "Angel" or any of Bob Marley's albums! This music is for teenage mainstream/pop fans who don't know what REAL Reggae is. "We Be Burnin" was the most ANNOYING song of 2005. "Temperature" was the most ANNOYING song of 2006...and probably the worst song ever in music! Do not waste your money on this album. Instead, by "Hot Shot" by Shaggy or any Bob Marley album! Make the right decision! is the most annoying song of 20

- i love temperature

temperature is the best song ever. i love it. end of story. well maybe not. my dance team did a dance to it, and that made it all the more better.

- Temperature rocks

if you are debating if u should buy this album buy it temperature is a awsome song im listening to it right Now!!!!!

- gtyh5h

huytuytutiut

- oh ya bebe!!!

mon dis is da best reggae album eva made yo yo!

- Give Sean a Try!

At first I wasn't a big fan of Sean, the only song I knew that was by him and I liked was Temperature. Then I listened to other songs and I loved them all! My 3 fave songs from this album are We be Burnin', Temperature, and Give It up to Me. I think that if you like catchy rap and/or hiphop, you should definetly listen to 1 of Sean's songs! I hope my review helped you....in some way.... :)

- BEST REGGAE EVER MADE IN HISTORY OF MUSIC!

I'd give the album a 10 if I could. Sean Paul's voice is really great, love everything about it. I don't know what's wrong with you people that hate his songs. if you do, you got a fever, turn up your hearing aid and listen carefully.

- this rocks somtimes

this album is cool when u get it but after u get it and listen to alot it gets boring so only buy it if u really love it ,still it might get boring

- SP4L

this album is great work, as are all his albums! a must buy! best summa dancin music you could possibly ask to! beats the black outa "chain hang low"

- Hot

I love Sean Paul and I think this album is really good. Like "Dutty Rock", there are some hits and misses but all in all it's awesome. This music is hot!

- so cool

buy it so good

- Nice beat and nice voice

Whoever said that Sean Paul stole Temperature's beat from Sizzla is SO wrong. First of all, it's a simple beat. There could be a dozen songs with it and you just haven't heard them. Second, that song is on the same album as Temperature, which can only be bought with the album (unless you buy it from a later album). The reviews mostly requested that Temperature could be bought alone, and now we can. Temperature has a MUCH higher rating than that Pon Dem song, probably party due to the fact that Sean Paul doesn't SCREECH and SQUEAK like Sizzla (he also has a better theme, and it's more appropriate).

- hey

This album from Sean Paul just keep me shaking my bootay all the time

- Sean Paul IS NOT REGGAE

HOW DOES ITUNES CALL THIS CRAP REGGAE IT IS ALL BUT RAP AND WORST OF ALL IT IS CRAPPY RAP SEAN PAUL IS DISCRACING REGGAE

- SEAN PAUL INSULT TO REGGAE MUSIC

sean paul is not the real reggae he's such a chi-chi man

- UMMM i guess. @:-)

I have not herd this album in a while. I have to say I miss it. but it is a little bit well I dont know what to call it?!! O yes this is Elvis like him ? Elvis> @:-)

- sean = sex

when i here a sean paul song i hear smoothness. i feel smooth and sexy. his voice makes me want to just slide back and forth slowly while dancing. when i hear a song of his i think of sex. not sex as in intercourse but his voice IS sex! he makes me wanna be naughty naughty and grab the first guy i see to grind on the dancefloor.

- lets make some thing clear

first i wanna say that this is not reggae, nor rap this is dancehall, reggae is bob marley etc. second if you can't understand its because of his jamaican accent, yes he is from jamaica, secondly the beat/riddim is from many songs not just sizzla, spragga benz has this beat, so has vybz kartel lastly most of this stuff has been released in jamaica before he just mushed it together to make an album in the US

- I guarentee this 100%

I guarentee this album because I got it on a CD for Easter and It was one of the best Easter Presents i got! It was a great expirience because now I am a great fan of Sean Paul! I think you'll go through some great expiriences if you have great taste in music :) try it out!

TEMPERATURE IS THE BEST SONG EVER!!! ALL SEAN PAUL FANS SHOULD HAVE THIS SONG!!! I LUV U SEAN PAUL!!!!

- My Head is spinning

All of u fans out there 4 Sean Paul, wat in the world r u thinking? This guy cannot sing at all! He sounds so retarted tht wen i hear his music i feel very sick! U can totally tell tht hes lipsipcing & his voice doesnt even sound normal & how the heck can u even tell wat hes saying! This guy just needs 2 drop dead & quit singing. Now!

- Its Ok..... I guess

I think this album is ok but the only song i really like on it is Temperature.

- basicaly the best song eva

its so totaly sweet a 10 out of 10 buy .

- "Temperature" ROCKS!!!

I absolutely love the song,"Temperature." You can't understand a word he's saying and the lyrics don't make any sense at all but it doesn't matter because the beat is great and you will definitely LOVE this song!!!

- good album, but wrong genre

this guy isnt a reggae singer, he is like a carribian rapper. With all due respect, he just dosent compare with bob marley or others like that, because he isnt true reggae.
