- Sounds Like Tool

It's alright..but I will save the money and listen to Tool

- Great Album!

Just wanted to leave my rating! Great album! Keep it up \m/

- Awesome album!

Great album, a must buy!

- Oh yeah baby!!

Love it!! Don't hesitate, just click buy and ROCK OUT!!

- Chevelle at it again!!!!

I've been a fan since there first album and i have to say I'm very pleased with this album so if you haven't bought it please do your self a favor buy this album it will change your life

- Disappointed

The anticipation was high waiting for this album but to me it is a major letdown. Majority of the songs reminds me of their last album. I do like twinge. It has a Deftones feel to it but the other songs doesn't hit home with me. I know they are a lot older and more mature but I miss the Wonder What's Next style of "hard rockness". With Dean on the scene, the best album was Vena Sera. After that it went downhill for me. But if you like style of the songs, then enjoy

- Amazing!

This album is awesome just raw chevelle sound and they sound a lot like Tool

- LΔ GΔRGΩLΔ

Great sound! Ouija is a powerful opener. Jawbreaker is very catchy with terrific ending. The Choking Game seems to be my favorite at the moment, along side with Under the Knife... Ending with just a Twinge leaves me feeling cold & remote. Just the way I like it...

- An island of their own

Chevelle is awesome.. Each album I say, "it's their best one yet"! This album kills it. An island is one awesome song, one of my all time favorites from Chevelle. Can't wait to see them live next week! \m/

- Wonder what's next?....

Another great album start to finish. Just hit play no need to fast forward or skip a track. This is how you make an album

- I know what's next!!

This is absolutely the best Chevelle album since (Wonder What's Next) Hands down the best work they have done in years! The music is simply rich in riff and lyrically addictive, just as wonder what's next was. I listened to this album two times all the way through and loved every song. Nothing I heard was too softspoken, and these guys are NOT softspoken in lyrics. This album has a commanding voice and tone that I haven't heard in a long time. It is a very well done musical feast for my the ears. It will not get old no matter how many times you listen. The music evolves and brings you in. Fantastic album!!

- Awesome

Great album chevelle delivers again

- Sounds 10x better than Hats ott Bull

Way better than the sold out sounds of their previous album

- Finally! Some great Music!

Always been a fan of this band but I think this is the best in a long time. A little Tool, a little Deftones mixed in but who really cares. This is one great album.

- Chevelle keeps getting better!!!!

Big fan of chevelle, and I have been for years. And this album is now added to my everyday listening playlist. Best album of 2014 so far. Love chevelle, best music ever. Enough said.

- Chevelle's best album yet

I've always been a huge Chevelle fan, and this album is amazing. I'm so glad they went a little harder with this one. I loved Hats Off to the Bull but I had to listen to it a few times to get an appreciation for it. Not this one, from the get go I love it. Anyone that thinks Chevellle is a Tool knock-off is high. I love both bands but they each have their own sound. Definitely worth the download!

- Awesomness

This album cover makes me wanna play Assassins Creed! Great album, keep up the good work Chevelle!

- Well done!

This album is pure energy, it's really my favorite album right now!

- My second to favorite Chevelle album....

Not their best album, but close, and better than the last one. Been a fan since the beginning, and I like almost all the songs on this album.

- Thought provoking

I am a five star listener who has listened to the album for the past week since its release. I have been a listener since the beginning and I have to say that Chevelle is the only band who hasn't disappointed me out of fandom (I'm looking at you linkin park and disturbed). One ocean was just kind of there, but the rest of the album was amazing, my favorite song being "The Damned." Those of you who are lyrically inclined, this is the album for you

- Not so much

Big fan of chevelle but I must say I'm quite let down by this album. Doesn't sound like the same band that gave us 'send the pain below', and 'jars'. Can't say that any one song on this album is really remarkable. Listened to it 2-3 times all the way through and honestly I just can't find the desire to listen to it anymore. Still a big fan, I guess I was hoping for a more trademark chevelle sound on this album.

- Great rock album

So I always get alittle nervous listening to bands that I have listened to for years when they come out with new music. This is because many bands, specifically the ones from the 2000's have changed for the worst. This album is a fantastic album that sounds much like what chevelle is known for. Definitely not one to disappoint.

- Exceptional Album

Love the music, love the style, love the mood - songs for any time of day - tunes you'll keep forever - notice the stylings of Rage Against the Machine, NIN, Disturbed and Tool, but their own unique presentations shine through!

- Perfect 5/5!!

Yet again deliver another amazing album. Good strong riffs and vocals, great beat and tempo as well!

- Best Since Sci-Fi Crimes, albeit so much different.

Chevelle lets every facet they've applied to their albums in the past blend into one record, which is something I haven't seen since the Sci-Fi Crimes album. Sure it lacks an acoustic track on it, as many wish would show up once or so on each of their records. But for those turned off by the fact that they have heard so much about how "heavy" this record is. It very much so is a balls to the wall, hard rocking record, but in place of the lack of an acoustic song comes a couple powerful, dare I say dreamy kind of sounding electric slow piece. If that's your cup of tea when it comes to Chevelle, check out the slowburners "One Ocean" and album closer "Twinge". Other than those two this record is all out fury like we haven't seen from these guys since This Type of Thinking... Songs like "Jawbreaker", "An Island", "Hunter Eats Hunter", "Choking Game" and "Under the Knife" all kick major a** and will have you rocking like a maniac in your car to them. A couple others that stick out with me because of the fact they bring the elements of heaviness and pristine, dare I say pretty, melodies together better than ever. Songs like "The Damned" and "Oijua Board" do just that in a very natural way which is pleasing as can be to the ears. I'm not gonna say anything about the single besides I think it's another strong lead single, since everyone has had their own opinion fixed on that song for a while now.. Either way the album is a full fleged 10 of a work and they seem to be getting better with time...

- Simply amazing.

Choking game is by far the heaviest song!

- Chevelle never fails!!

Delivered completely. I was missing this band and I'm super happy with this album.

- Way Better Than I Expected

After hearing take out the gunman, i thought of face to the floor completely. This album kicks from beginning to end, not one song you wanna skip over. Defiantly one of the best albums by Chevelle!!

- Really good but..

I have just recently listened to some of their work and I was comparing band just to he led up to "hey they sound like tool" and I'd have to say I agree the compelling rising and falling of the rhythm sounds good man.

- Buy This Album

There isn’t much more to say than that. Chevelle brings one of their hardest hitting albums with La Gargola. Its entirely fresh and new, and yet everything you could want or expect from Chevelle. This is their best album since Vena Sera.

- Another great album!

Chevelle continues to rock! Great album!

- Pete Screams Again!

Wow, this CD rocks hard. Sci-Fi Crimes left me confused, and Hats off to the Bull at least had some songs on it that I liked, although most of it was soft. This reminds me of the Wonder What’s Next/This Type of Thinking…/Vena Sera days when they actually rocked out. Pete screams again, which totally took me by surprise after their last two CDs, I didn’t think he had it in him anymore. And I love it! I’m glad the angst and the overall heavy rock sound is back. Every song on here is great to me except for Under the Knife, it’s my least favorite. An Island is probably my favorite but every song with the exception of Under the Knife is constantly being played over and over again.

- Great album

To everyone who says that Chevelle sounds like Tool, you're wrong. Tool couldn't get a sound out of 3 guys like Chevelle can and they do it well. Don't get me wrong Tool is one of my favorite bands, but this album is all Chevelle. Totally worth the money!

- Rocking effing hard

Been counting down the days until release!!!!

- Amazing

These guys will never cease to amaze me. Always coming out with the same true sound of chevelle that makes fans love them. Great band, another great album.

- I'd give 6 stars if I could...

If you are a Chevelle fan you are in for a real treat with this album. They get back to a more heavy metal sound much like "Vena Sera" which is what I was hoping for. You will not be disappointed.

- Gunman

Love it Take out the gunman is my fav <3

- Yeah baby!

My wife and I were so excited when we heard these guys were coming out with a new album, and we were not disappointed! Fantastic album throughout!

- Meh.

I love Chevelle, don't get me wrong, but this album is just OK. Meh. Not very many songs captivated me like their other albums did, where at least 6 or 7 songs used to get my attention. This album maybe has 3: Take Out the Gunman, Hunter Eats Hunter and The Damned. Oh well, I still love them!

- chevelle stays true to their sound

this album is amazing. I purchased it on release day, and it hasn't left my cd player since. one thing about chevelle is that they will never lose they're sound. album after album, the first thing you think while listening is 'yeah, this is chevelle.' this holds true for la gargola.

- Incredible

Amazing as always. Chevelle never disappoints

- Best Album Since WWN

In my opinion, La Gargola is Chevelle's strongest album since the 2002 Wonder What's Next (which is still my favorite by a long shot). The intensity has definitely stepped up a knotch when compared to Hats Off and Sci-fi Crimes. Their previous efforts have chalked up a couple nice singles, but this album as a whole is excellent. Each track delivers, and the slower tracks (Twinge, One Ocean) compliment the heavy songs (An Island, Gunman) to really complete the record. I'm glad Chevelle has branched away from the safe, radio-friendly cuts of their past 3 albums and returned to their hard rock roots. Hopefully they keep it up with their next release!

- Excellent/hard hitting!!

I've been waiting for them to make an album like this for years. The last few albums were ok but, mostly boring. This album's tracks are great, original, evolved and they're finally back to what they do best. Hard, crunchy head bobbing riffs. Then, as always, Pete's vocals are outstanding. He has always blended the melodic soft pitched voice, with the grunty, yet seemingly very controlled, screams. And the hard hitting head bobbing drums get me every time. Along with the mostly simple, down tuned crunchy guitar riffs that have always hooked me. This entire album is worth a download. I rate it 4.25 stars, but since iTunes only lets you rate in full stars, I gotta round it up to 5!!! Good job boys!!

- Another amazing album

Few bands have me anticipating their new release and Chevelle is one of them. Even though all their albums are different, you can still hear their sound. It's powerful on the hard tracks and a deep powerful mellow-ish sound on their soft tracks. If you've listened to Chevelle before, you'll definitely love. On the other hand, if you haven't listened to the, before, it's a perfect intro.

- Phenominal

This album is amazing… There is not one song on it that I’d label a space filler. Since seeing Chevelle play live, I’ve found myself rating songs based on how hard it would rock in a concert setting… Every song on La Gargola gets a 10!

- Fantastic

Great album. Buying this album is a no brainer if you’re a chevelle fan!

- MUST BUY ALBUM

This chevelle album is absolutely astonishing. I just couldnt stop listening. Great job guys!

- Chevelle keeps on getting it done!!!!

I have to say I've been a Chevelle Fan for some time now and without a doubt, they keep creating great music. I hope you guys stay true to your fans and each other cause we've lost a lot of great bands over the years…and we can't lose you guys too. Keep rocking like you have been. Oh and Choking Game is my favorite.

- Worth it!

what a comeback thought the band was on the decline but this album is worth it

- Awesome like always

Chevelle never disappoints and they deliver once again with La Gargola. This is truly their first album since WWN that goes back to their hard and grungy roots. Ouija Board is just straight in your face and reminds you of what Chevelle is originally all about. Awesome song. Jawbreaker, Hunter Eats Hunter, Choking Game, The Damned, and Under the Knife are also stand-outs. Hell, basically the whole album is a stand-out. You get the point.
