- Monstercat NEVER disappoints!

I've been listening to monstercat for quite some time now and this is by far one of their best albums and worth double the amount your being charged!

- Spectacular!

It just blows me away that you guys can make such good EDM! I love it and will continue to be a costumer to support you throughout your career.

- Good Album

This is a good album for Monstercat. It’s not on par with 016 or 004, but it still has some good songs. More chill than I would have liked, and not enough songs by artists that we know. Tristam and Braken are becoming quite repetitive, but Pegboard Nerds’ Hero is very good.

- AWESOME👍

Awesome album filled with good artists and good songs. Nuf-Said.

- Fantastic! 🔊

I have only been apart of the monstercat fan base since 015. However, I can say that ever since then, they have changed my life and the way I view music. This is a great album and demonstrates what monstercat is truly capable of. My top 5 are.... 1.One Night Only 2.Moonlight 3.Seconds Away 4.Taking Over 5.Frame of Mind BUY IT NOW! 🔊😎

- Interesting!

Some of these songs are now my favorite. Great job to every artist!

- One of the best albums!

Every song on here is amazing! Definitely worth the purchase

- amazing!

By far one of my favorite albums by MC. All the songs here are pure gold and extremely diverse! My personal favs are reach and Drink Up.

- Great

Normally I don't write reviews to things I download, but this album deserves one. This album has some of the best songs that came out in the last few months.

- The Best

<3

- SWEET!

Nice new album! Good songs, great value!

- Amazing!!!

Another great album from monstercat!

- Amazing!!!

Such a great album! This album is extremely diverse in genres. EDM lovers of any kind will find something to love from it, if not the whole thing! 100% a must buy. My personal favorites are Follow You and Reach!

- What the guy below me said!

Amazing!!!

- :(

I already bought most of the songs. They're great, however I already have almost all of them :(

- Some of the Best Stuff in a While

I know that every Monstercat album will have a review saying something to the effect of "This album is the best!" But 017 really does have some of the most unique (and yes, best) material released in a while. The opening track, Reach, (coming from the absolutely amazing new artist Grant Bowtie) is a striking example. It's so melodic and chill, but so incredibly complex at the same time. Every time I listen to it, I hear something new. You can just tell how much effort went into creating such a masterpiece. However, it's far from the only good song on the album. Some of Monstercat's veteran artists have really put some of their best recent material on here, for example Pegboard Nerds' Hero, both of Tut Tut Child's releases, and ESPECIALLY Frame of Mind by Tristam and Braken. Releases from those two are always immensely popular, but often aren't really as great as everyone makes them out to be. However, Frame of Mind actually deserves all of the praise it gets, perhaps because Tristam seems to have realized that his true talent lies in creating those amazing melodies, not hardcore bass drops. Many of the new artists are also behind some of the album's best tracks, such as Eagle Eyes, One Night Only, and Do It. I'm also super psyched to see Aero Chord on Monstercat now. Au5 does something a bit different (but still great) with Follow You, opting for a more melodic progressive house track instead of his usual crazy drops. Haywyre's track, The Schism, taken from his absolutely beautiful Two Fold Pt. 1 LP, is also enjoyable to listen to, with a mysterious vibe but all the while keeping his signature funky, glitchy style. Soulero's Seconds Away is beautiful progressive house song, and is another of my personal favorites. Itvara by Fractal is a chill electro track, with great vocals as usual. The killer melodies and complex tracks that he produces so effortlessly are quickly making him one of my favorite artists, period. Varien and Sirensceol (did I spell that right?) have created a wonderfully unique dubstep banger, with a drop that left me speechless. And finally, Open Hour, by the wonderful Insan3lik3 and Rob Gasser, is a nice, relaxing glitch hop track that rivals even some of Haywyre's work in funk. Overall, every track is worth a listen, even ones I may not have mentioned in this review. Monstercat's albums are incredibly diverse, so if you like EDM at all, this probably has something for you. I know I thoroughly enjoyed this album, and I can't wait for more great tracks in the future.

- -=ö OMG ö=-

How am I still not a tastemaker? I'm making an account right now.

- monstercat=life

tut tut child rootkit and tristam are the best I've been there fan since a long time and I love too late but once again monstercat pulls out another great album

- 017 - Ascension

I have been anticipating this release for a while, and it is by far Monstercat's best edition yet. It seems like they can't stop getting better each time! Favorite Tracks: Aero Chord - Surface Tristam & Braken - Frame of Mind Rootkit - Do It Fractal - Itvara Favright - Taking Over (feat. Cassandra Kay) Feint - Phosphor (fear. Miyoki) Varien & SirensCeol - Moonlight (feat. Aloma Steele) Soulero - Seconds Away With such a vast array of genres, anyone can find something they like in 017 - Ascension!

- AMAZING WORK

Absolutely love monstercat! They never let me down when it comes to music. Thank you to all the artists who put their hard work and effort into their music!

- Finally

I've been waiting for this album forever. It has great content, such as Surface. It also has quite a wide variety of music, ranging from the soft and mellow tones of Reach, to the hardcore drumstep of Don't Forget. It is completely worth all $10.

- THE BEST!!!

OMG I love it!!! Awesome songs and I'm happy Grant Bowtie joined and I love Reach!!!

- 1st review

Awesome!!! 😃😃😃

- Best monstercat album yet!!!

10/10

- FIRST AND YES

Ive been waiting so long for this! It has every genre except nu disco but it is amazing :D

- Longtime Monstercat Supporter

Each one just gets better and better!

- Not the best Monstercat album yet...

Not the best, but altogether, solid! Still the best dance music around in my opinion. Album favrights: 1. Pegboard Nerds - Hero 2. Tristam & Braken - Frame of Mind 3. SCNDL - The Munsta 4. Favright - Taking Over 5. Case & Point - All on Me 6. Soulero - Seconds Away 7. Tut Tut Child - Drink Up

- FINALLY!

Ive been following monstercat since 002 and i have never regretted it! once again another amazing album.

- LOL First idk why.

This album is literally just like 007(Solace) and 016(Expedition). Good Job Monstercat!!!

- Perfect

Not a surprise, always amazing albums.

- Eh???

This album is just TOO chill with no good electro of dubstep. 😕

- The Schism

The Schism is listed in the album under Grant Bowtie, even though it's Haywyre's song. What's up with that? Is that song even supposed to be in there? I'm hoping that's just a mistake.

- Wow!

Monstercat is just pumping out albums! I love it!

- Holy Baby Jesus Batman

Surface blew out my left headphone... 10/10 would buy again.

- Yes

Omg been waiting to see what the new album would be like luv the work plz keep it up and don't stop making music

- Amazing!

My previous favorites were 013 and 016, but this blows them both away. Great job guys!!!

- AMAZING

They do even better every time. It kind of disappoints me to not see this in new and noteworthy though.

- Amazing

BUY IT NOW!! This album is so great ,well worth the $9.99 for 32 songs

- Yess!!!!!

It's amazing! I've been waiting for weeks!

- The “Reach” for music :)

Ascension is truly something of a masterpiece. Each piece is put together so well. A journey is told through each of Monstercat’s albums. From crowd surfing, to overlooking a city alive at night, to fishing for new discoveries in an underwater cavern. Where will we go next?

- Best album so far

Monstercat amazed us once again with ascension it's definitely not the best of all time but it is the best of 2014 keep it up monstercat!!

- Sick

Hero and Surface are sick as hell

- The best

I've been a fan of Monstercat since 008, and this is the very first time that I bought the full album just because every song is amazing in its own way. Im not a fan of some songs but I would say I love 2/3 of the songs on this album and I usually only liked and bought 3 or 4 songs on all previous album. I'll will be a fan of monstercat till the day I die!!!

- The Best Yet

This is in my opinion the best Monstercat album yet. A resurgence of dubstep and drum n bass, not electro-crazed like 016. New artists stepping up with some big tracks. Aero Chord, Trivecta, Grant Bowtie and Rootkit all deliver on their first tracks. Also good work by SirenScoel working with Varien. Great overall. There are NO BAD SONGS!
