I don't rate albums, so this must say something!

Gray would've been very proud of this album. This album is what any true knot fan has been waiting for.

what a comeback!! absolutely phenomenal! some tracks lack taste and fulfilment yet 80% of the album is just as rad as it gets with these guys. Absolutely worth the wait, couldn't be more pleased with the results. And I'm sure that Paul, wherever he is, is jammin' out to Album No. 5: The Gray Chapter.

I was really looking forward to this album but so far I am disappointed.The drums sound the same on each song it's all just in bad taste.first album and Iowa will always be my fav

This album is nothing short of perfection.

Slipknot fan since day 1! I had my doubts upon hearing a new album was going to be released.. Thought they would follow the crowds! But each song is unique in a sense that it's nothing you've ever heard, but similar in a slipknot way that this is them, this is their music, ands this is their impact on music!!

what do people expect when they say its just shouting? dont appreciate it then DO 1!!! rant over, this album so far is incredible, coreys maturity with stonesour is definatly showing with this album and you can actually hear the emotion in his voice regarding the loss. amazing, best metal band to ever form, perform and record.

Next level slipknot, so so heavy, cant wait to see them live now 11/10

This a very constructive album from slipknot with some of Corey's best vocals, by far there heaviest album since Iowa and the two new band members bring something new to the group, they sound fresh and exciting which in my opinion that was missing from all hope is gone (still a great album tho) this album is great for old and new fans of slipknot

This is a very mature, aggressive, emotional album. This is the Slipknot album we've always known was possible but has never quite been delivered in full until now. This will go down as a classic.

After hearing the negative one and the devil in i i was hoping for maybe a self titled or maybe iowa sounding album but so far they are one of 3 heavy songs on the album. Killpop has disappointed me the most so far. Not being funny but it sounds like a stone sour track, Which isn't a bad thing but they are in the studio recording a new album anyway. Im hoping the full release changes my mind but its all the stupid 'ive heard the full album its another self titled' comments that are clearly bull and may be tainting what could be an amazing album. Top and bottom corey needs to turn slipknot back to their roots and use stone sour for his experimental stuff.

Another fantastic album from the 'knot. As always this is solid all the way through and there's not a bad song on the album. Really heavy at times but also very melodic at other times, this makes for an amazing mix. The new members seem to fit in instantly, the drumming is incredible on this album. Overall a really fitting tribute to Paul and a solid metal album.

Good things come to those who wait… This certainly lives up that saying. The album is pure carnage, yet directed in a solemn and melodic fashion (I guess in remembrance for Paul). A mix between the best Iowa and Subliminal Verses. If you haven’t got it yet, you’re missing out big time.

This album is the best album released in 10 years. Its literally perfect. enjoy it, maggots.

Devil and i and the negative one are good, the rest is generic, bland, unimaginative filler. I preordered and the tracks that got released last are just the worst. And I'm a massive fan. Real shame.

Already heard the album in full and in my honest opinion it's awesome despite it being without Joey and sadly Paul R.I.P Mr Gray I believe that he will be proud

I'm going to dare to say that losing Joey has improved the song writing. As creative and sinister as ever, this is a true Halloween album that revives a sound we haven't heard since Iowa.

Not that good !!

Slipknots recentish, is that a word, troubles with personnel changes have not softened their musical edge. This album hits harder than a runaway train, and leaves you wanting more. Buy it, listen, enjoy and listen again. I don't need to say any more.

Hearing the songs on the album and I am amazed how they produced great music still. This is impressive because while the band was still present, they had lost 2 vital members. Such as, Paul Gray & Joey Jordison. Also, Slipknot in this album have made new and unique stuff in the album.

Quite possibly the most anticipated Album of the Year. I've always been absolutely captivated by this band from an early age. Hearing 'knot's new-old-whatever material has sent nostalgia levels through the ceiling!

Firstly, let's not forget, its Slipknot. I'm really pleased overall with the album, granted there are a couple of Stone Sour sounding tracks on it and it is very autobiographical, which is what we were told. There are a few repeating topics in the lyrics, this band has been through a lot but managed to maintain the Slipknot sound. Valiant effort from drummer and excellent bass player. If you love Slipknot you will love this record.

Hardcopy arrived today and after 2 play throughs I have to admit I'm in love. Cant wait for the tour in January. There have been a lot of ups and down for these guys and despite the heartache they've been through they've pulled off another fantastic album. Paul will be proud, well done guys.
