Albums great. Ron Swanson rules man

Im really enjoying this song! Ive been listening to it on my way to work in the mornings! TC
1988
Mark Ronson is a genius
Mark Ronson is like the pop version of Zedd or Avicii, he's the producer but gets headlining credit... All these songs are complete rip offs of old school songs but with a new twist, so I give him credit for that! Kids today think this is fresh but if they knew their music- they would know these are loosely based on tons of old songs. Uptown Funk is pretty awesome because of Bruno's vocals...but that is a straight 1 for 1 rip off of Prince's- The Time. Even saying that, Still I like that he's doing something different.
"Uptown Funk" is a great song and Mr. Ronson showed real style in his collaboration with Bruno Mars. This is good music that that got my attention, but after reviewing the other songs on the albm, it fell into the same foul, uncreative style that is dominating today's "terrible" music. Real musicians don't need to resort to shouting curse words to be cool, in fact, it is so predictable and show lack of musical intelligence. Mystical blasting "M______ F_______" over and over like a typical street thug, yeah, whatever. You could have gained some new fans that appreciate real music, instead you just joined the sad parade of nasty uncreative music that is plastered all over the airwaves. To bad.
Just cause you got Steve Wonder. on this don't give you a pass Mark, I remember you from Club Life . you was Wack then, and you Wack now. This Is Not R&B. still trying to steal the soul.
The only songs worth listening to at Uptown Funk (which is incredibly good), Daffodils, and Feels right. Basically just the songs that you could download before the album was available. The rest of the album is garbage.
I love Mark Ronsons twist on this genre. DEF upbeat. I've listened to it on repeat for hours now and haven't skipped a song once ๐๐. My only complaint is that there aren't enough songs! I want more! ๐
Good song really make have the funk in my body good job
Never wrote a review before. This album is THE BIZNISS!! Why? Because Uptown Funk is a hard fitting retro fitted funk gem. It made me hopeful for this album..but it was a brilliant marketing ploy by Mark Ronson to have Bruno on a track that channels The Time and Prince at their zenith. Then bring this out, making Uptown Funk one of the โweakerโ tracks on the album. It works well with the retro vibe, but not with the albumโs laid back vibe as a whole. โI Canโt Loseโ has got a classic house beat. He hit a grand slam here! Best album of the yearโฆso far!
Really fantastic work. Funk with a side of cool.
Love this I WANT THE ALBUM!!!!๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
I have to admit, I never heard of Mark Ronson until Uptown Funk came out but now I am hooked! Great cd to move and dance too!
feel right, uptown funk and daffodils are great, the rest is forgetable
This album is so bad. There are no words to describe how truly bad it is. Avoid this one. If you really must get it at the library before buying it.
I love the harmonica solo by the amazing STEVIE WONDER!!!!!!!!!!!! It sounds like a 80's/90's tv theme
Growing up in Detroit i know the sound of this music anywhere its good old Motown style music
Uptown Funk is my favorite new release. The rest of the album is horrible. So sorry I made an advance purchase. Well between this and Ariana Grande's disappointing release, I've learned to wait until I can sample all the music first. Put this in the pile with all those Huey Lewis one hit albums.
Love it!
Need more of this stuff.
If you don't like it, then don't buy this album.
This music is full of foul mouthed profanity. Parentsโฆdo not let your kids listen to this garbage. Really sad state of so-called music today.
I dislike this so much. This is flam to the boyant!
so uptown funk and feel right are a fast pace feel good songs but the rest of the album is wayyyy to slow and actaully quite boring.
Don't believe me, just LISTEN! This is the best album I've heard since the year started. BRILLIANT!
Love this album. Nicely executed...
Uptown funk and the song featuring Mystikal are the only good songs on here. Not interested in the rest of the album.
I'm always looking for some new workout music. Uptown Funk has turned into my go to warm up song.
Bringing the old school back!!
I like uptown funk
I didnโt see this coming. What a wonderful album and nice throwback sound. This record is so much more than the first single โUptown Funkโ. What a musical journey, 5 Stars.
I'm not much for the 70's and it's music but this album is amazing!
I would've put 2 stars if it wasn't for Uptown Funk and Daffodils. I was expecting it to be a funky-fresh, cool album. It wasn't. Just those two songs. Leaving Los Feliz is perhaps the most ANNOYING SONG on the record!!! Mark Ronson or whoever the sound engineer for this album needs some lessons, cause the guitar and instrumental segments tend to be about 10 times louder than the rest of the song. Especially in Leaving Los Feliz when the guitar and chorus are equally annoying, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU COMBINE THE TWO!!!!! Also the singers' voices are often faded into the background. Even Stevie Wonder's parts are dull. I'm willing to bet it wasn't his fault. Overall, it's not a good album. And I thought Mark Ronson was channelling the groove, instead he channeled mediocre noise.
Superb production, musical & lyrical writing. Will make you move.
I was so excited to get this album after hearing Bruno and Mystikal. Those songs were in your face FUNK. I was hoping for the same energy for the rest of the album, unfortunately, Stevie even made me want to sleep. This had the potential and let me down.
Funky, fun, and new to listen to. It sounds like 90s alternative music but refreshed and attractive to the modern ear. Reminds me of Random Access Memories, minus the autotune and robot heads lol
Summer Breaking (feat. Kevin Parker) needs more recognition. I swear, it has the best vibes and the feel when relaxing in the morning.
put bruno mars, mystikal on tracks that are all about that funk from back in the day when music WAS GOOD.. then add stevie wonder (THE LEGEND) on it?? yup im buying this album
This is a really Fresh album that has anawesome mix of funk, pop, and R&B...THe mixture of artisit used to record this album was dead on. My only complaint is that this album should have been released for the summer. It would have been an excellent album for summer road trips. Everyone should buy and listen to this album. Looking forward to his Mark's next release....
I'd give this 6 stars if I could!! I love uptown funk and I love all the others! I like the funky kind of beat he's giving these songs, it makes you happy!!๐great job:)
I love this album! So many great songs so you can listen to the whole album without having to skip songs. They are all good songs and the sound doesn't get old because each song is different. Love it!
I don't really listen to any other songs on the album. Uptown Funk is the only one I listen to... I'm sure I'm not the only one๐โฆ I really love reading reviews of songs because of how many there are and I love how people aren't afraid to share there own opinion! (Those were all the nature Emojis)
But I would have to say check colin hay new album next year people. Very cool
Uptown Fink easily is the best
MAGNUM OPUS MARK!!
๐ great!!!
Excellent sound, unique music pleasant to the ear and senses.
One of my favorite things about all of Markโs music is his ability to blend contemporary artists with classic sounds. Itโs new and modern but still thoroughly 70โs/80โs. Iโve been listening to the whole album on repeat for about a week now. โUptown Funkโ gets inside of your head and you canโt get it out. My other highlights are the dreamy vocals on โDaffodils,โ the classic rock vibe on โIn Case of Fireโ and that harmonica on โCrack in the Pearl, Pt II.โ NINE EXITS NORTH OF LAS VEGAAAAAAS!
