- Excellent!

This is music that will take you wherever you want to go. Whether Hobbiton, Ireland, or other planets- It's always flowing, and you'll feel free to wander the universe as you please.

- Amarantine

Outstanding. For Enya lovers, it was worth the wait. For those who don't know her music, a great place to start. "It's in the Rain" will be a classic. Well ... they'll all be classics.

- Okay

Hey this may not be for all you rockers (like me) but I say for religious people could like this. It might not be EXACTLY about religions and stuff but its not bad.

- Haunting and beautiful

Enya's ambient melodic tones clamor through every bar of this album. I can't you how much I enjoy this album. Simply beautiful!

- love it

This is one of her best albums yet. The music is still her own unique style but has a fresh feel to it.

- Beautifully Mastered

What can I say? I love her voice; it's soo relaxing?. I think it's her best cd next too my personall fav Day without Rain. I Love track 7 Sumiregusa(Wild Violet). If ur a Enya Fan I HIGHY RECOMMEND THIS CD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

- Fabulous.

Enya has done it again. She never dissapoints me, and this is definitely one of her stronger, deeper, more interesting, diversified, and intense albums. For those who love her tunes which get stuck in your head and just keep going round and round, there's Amarantine and It's in the Rain. Enya branched out a bit too, which is also very nice, as you hear the usual Enya themes with a touch of something new. Surprising at times, but so comfortable, and definitely very relaxing. Another amazing Enya album for both the long time Enya fan and a great starter for those who want an introduction to her awe inspiring style and this genre.

- An album for the ages.

Enya has always captivated my mind with her beautiful voice, inspirational lyrics, and mystifying music. Every song on this album was worth what I paid, and once again Enya has done it… From every aspect of this album I must give it five stars, for any fan of Enya; this album is in my opinion one of her best. If anyone is looking for something new, unique, and extraordinary look no further. Almost five years went into the making of this album, only to produce something that is gorgeous and amazing… and I consider everything in this album to be full and unique only to Enya.

- Enya Continues to Surprise & Enchant

This album stands testament that her ability cast her siren songs over her listeners evoking a sense of peace and feeding the soul as only she can, has not waned. Although the songs will feel like home to the seasoned Enya listener; Amarantine, like all of Enya's albums definitely has it's own identity and style.

- Amarantine = Smooth

She's back. I'm glad... There are so many things to offer in praise but rather I will address Olof in an earlier "review". Don't like it? Don't listen. Enya's style is that which embodies that smooth angelic melody. For her part, it is style. Something which you, aparently, know nothing about. "If I could be where you are" put me away. Do us a favor Olof: Keep listening to Tommy James and The Shondells and leave the rest of us alone with that incredible voice.

- Yay!

Wow! Enya at her best :^) Though some of the songs sound quite a bit like her previous works, they still maintain the original flare we all expect from Enya. She seems to have picked up on what worked well from her older CDs and cultivated it into a set of stunning new tracks, full of verve, pulse, and emotion. ENJOY!

- Top CD for relaxation in the New Year!

Enya's haunting voice does it again for me. I love this cd! I fall asleep to it, unwind with it...what a great avenue to relieve stress. Amarantine has got to be one of her all time best! Highly Recommended!

- Whatever she does, I buy it.

Call me crazy, but the songwriting here reminded me of the Bee Gees in the 60s. I felt compelled to interrupt my first audition of "Amarantine" to dust off my "Horizontal" LP record (Bee Gees, 1968), and since I found it a little scratchy, I run a search on eBay and bought it on CD. Back to Enya, she is always great. Her best days of inspiration may be gone, I guess, but after what she did for us at her beginnings, I wouldn't pass any of her recordings. What a turning point in my life when I was driving aimelessly on a hangovered Sunday morning and "Orinoco Flow" came out of the radio. "What is this?" I knew that since that moment my life would never be the same again.

- Enya's best songs have to do with water.

Her best songs are The River Sings and Orinocco Flow. This album has one of her best songs.

- Great music!

Im a big fan of Enya, and I would say this is her best work yet. I love Amarantine and Its in the rain. I would recomend it to anyone who wants to relax, unwind and fall asleep.

- Praises and more praises!

I am pleased to have purchased this album! Enya's voice and music is very relaxing and helps me calm down and destress after a very stressful day at work. Everyone has said this, but I just want to re-emphasize: There's only one Enya -- and she delivers great great music!

- Enya, you ARE the babe! :)

A long time fan of Enya, who's owned everything done by her (except a concert ticket...what d'ya say Enya?) including CD sets and videos - of course, this is a "must have". If you really appreciate Irish/Celtic music, doesn't matter if it's a guy like me praising her music. This is classic Enya. Timeless, intricate, flowing, perfect for calming frazzled nerves WITHOUT putting you to sleep. Folks, she sometimes sings in "gaelic". She didn't "invent her own language" as some badly misinformed reviewer claimed! The language is native to Ireland and other Celtic peoples. Google the "Central Statistics Office Ireland" and you'll find the census lists a significant percentage of Irish citizens who say they speak "Irish". On the day after Christmas, I can still wish you "Nollaig shona duit"! :) Slan', Joe, Festival Operations Manager - Adams County Irish Festival

- Wonderful

I've enjoyed all of Enya's many albums, but Amarantine might be my favorite. The songs on this album capture what I've come to love about Enya's music.

- Very Soothing

This music is beautiful, and calming! It's great to listen to as you go to sleep.

- Amazing!!

The voice of Enya on this cd or any of her cd's for that matter is amazing!! Ever since i was introduced to her music on "paint the sky with stars" cd ive been hooked. Her voice gives me the chills!! I would recommend this cd to guys and girls. WOW! Number 3 "It's in the rain" is one of my fav's from her new cd.

- Perfect as usual

Is it just me or does Enya get better over the years? This is a great album I give it 100 stars, she worked hard on this album to please her fans and I think it paid off. Yes she does sing three of the songs on the album: Less than a Pearl, The River Sings, and Water Shows the Hidden Heart in a different language. The language is called Loxian, which Enya did not invent herself, her long time friend and song writer Roma Ryan invented this language, I believe she wrote a book about it. So for those of you who thought it was a joke get your facts straight before you put her and her new album down.

- ENYA.......NEED I SAY MORE?

I have been listening to Enya for years and I always loved her music. For those of you who have her other albums and do not have this one...you don't know what you are missing! GET THIS ONE OR DOWNLOAD IT TODAY. For those of who don't know her or her songs....it's never to late to start.

- The Most Beautiful Songs...

First off, let me clear something up for a recent reviewer who claimed that Enya sang in a "made up language" for this album. She sings in Japanese, English, and Latin. This album is by far her best- she uses a new style, but is still able to maintain a beautiful, smooth song. My personal favorites is Sumiregusa".

- Great addition to any collection!

I really love all of enya's music! This is an especially great album because it has her own language on some of the tracks that she said was an influence from her work on Lord of the Rings! All of the tracks are really great and each has it's own personality!

- Awsome Album!!

Having listened to Enya's music for some time now, i think this album is a great piece of work. Nothing better than listening to this album after a stressful day of work and putting up with the hardships of everyday city life. I highly recommend the entire album!

- Amarantine

This is classic ENYA! Outstanding and well worth waiting for! It deserves each of the five stars.

- Master work

After reading the other reviews I don't think I can add much to what has been said. She is a master of aesthetic sound. The fact that she can deliver in her own style again and again is not something to be sneered at. I found each item fresh and yet uniquely hers. Since I first heard Orinoco Flow I have rarely been disappointed in anything she did. Listen and enjoy.

- Songs for the Soul

How can anyone not enjoy this music. Enya has the remarkable ability to transcend language and cultural barriers. She sings with a conviction that goes to the depths of soul and that is not a common thing in music. I like that my family and I can sit down at the table and enjoy our meals to her music. I don't have to worry about content and all the other things we have to consider with just about every other form of music. Well done.

- Amarantine by Enya

So happy to see that Enya released Amarantine in 2005. I have all of her music and I never tire of listening to it. This CD has some similar music sounds from her other CDs but it is a must for your ipod. I listen to it when walking in the rain and it blocks out the real weather.

- Amaratine....Its Enya....what else is there to say!!

Love this ladies music!!

- Refreshing

As an avid fan, I've eagerly awaited this release and I'm not disappointed. Somehow Enya has been able to keep the same ethreal sound of her previous works. And yet this album has exceeded my expectations. As I listen to the new tracks, there's a maturity where there wasn't before. The layered vocals and masterful harmonics have been taken to a new level. To anyone who enjoys any of her works, buy this album!

- I was surprised

I was on vacation and stopping for coffee in a little town in northern Minnesota. We headed to the local music shop and this CD just jumped out at me. I had been expecting a new Enya release but began to believe that it just would not happen. Of course I had to buy it sight unseen... or note unheard. Enya's voice is beautiful, that is the easiest way to describe it. It ebbs and flows, rises and falls.... carrying you along all the way. Yes, this is reminiscent of previous releases but then again there is nothing wrong with beautiful consistency. If you like Enya buy this CD. If you are unsure then move towards the earlier releases. Thank you Enya for another perfect CD. Please do not make us wait another 5 years. Although we did get some treats with your works on movie soundtracks. Peace.

- guys, its a schweet album.

oK. Matty, for one, their are no Gaelic songs on this CD. their are English, Japanese, and Loxian songs. This is where Olof got his 'made up language', though she herself did not make it up. That was Roma Ryan, but Olof, don't go dissing Enya, whatever she's doing, she's doing it right, cause she's got fans in most of the corners of the globe. Hope you all had a most ultimately schweet New Year.

- Sounds the Same

I have been listening to Enya now for close to 20 years. This CD sounds the same as the first cassette that I bought. Buy if you like the trademark Enya sound and are a huge fan. Avoid if you are looking for something new. Great music just not original anymore.

- So good! I love it! Amazing Cd + Songs!

If you like Celtic Woman then you will like Enya! My favorite Songs are Amarantine, Less than a Pearl, The River Sings, and It's in the rain. You should also check out Paint the sky with stars + Only time too! All of her cds are great! Enya is making a comeback!

- Good

I don't think it is her best but a solid outing nonetheless and great addition to my new age list along with Digital Moodz, Amethystium and Blue Stone--which are all recommended like Enya!

- Not that good

I am somewhat disappointed in this album. All too often each of the songs sound just like many of her songs in albums past. I don’t recommend unless you are a diehard Enya fan and “have” to have her albums; because otherwise it is just not that good.

- ?

i Idon't know

- wow

keep up the good work Enya! Mark Rives

- A tradition continues

I like to say that Enya stayed in the tradition of her music and showed again her fabulous voice and feeling for harmony. Coming from Europe I can feel the relationship to the home country as well as the deep inspiration this music provides. For me it opens mind and soul and I hope it does the same for many other listeners

- She has done better albums.

This album is ok, just not as good as her other albums like "A day without rain" and "Paint the sky with stars." She still rocks though ..!!

- We needed this Album

"ENYA" she is magical. Listening to this Album is like a deep Soal cleansing. You will enjoy every Song and every Song is like a Picture. We needed this Album in our fast cold brutal world.

- You must be joking

Big time Enya fan here but this is just wrong. Oh, there are a few tracks that I like but overall I have pretty much shelved this one. You know Enya, why don't you do some dance music, but keep the classic melodies. These melodies are all wrong for her. When I think of Enya's music I think of mysterious landscapes, not roasting smores around a campfire. Please Enya, take a lesson from Sarah Brightman and branch out a little. Also, don't let go of those darker tones that make the music really interesting. If I wanted a Beatle's type melody then I would listen to them.

- love it

An amazing peice of work. It shoes my heart with pleasure

- Huge Enya fan

She sounds like the rain water that falls from my heart....

- Heavenly

I love this album! The music brings to mind far off lands, deep forests, beautiful moon lit beaches, and starry skies, all sorts of beautiful things. I recommend this album to anyone!

- Enya is stonger then ever

I always was into classical, and Enya is able to capture me with her perfect percision. Shes able along with Yanni to have beautiful music with a consitent but at the same time different music.

- Worth the wait

Enya's new album is well worth the wait. She (like other artists) has changed her style a little bit but I was not disappointed in the least bit, I highly recommend "It's In The Rain"

- She is a Goddess

everything this lady does is amazing, if you like any of her older albums then you'll like Amarantine :)

- weirded out!

a girl i used to go to church with listened to this. at the time i was 11 and had no idea what it was then a mounth ago(i am almost 14) i saw it on a commicial, i then asked my mom what the heck amarantime is then she says "i have no clue go look it up" i did wasnt in the dictionary. i still dont know what an amarantime is. this is even worse than mariah carey. color me stupid the infamous -syd the great
