I've had the opportunity to see these guys live a few times and I had heard some of the tracks of this album long before it was available. I thought they sounded amazing live then this album came out and I got to hear the studio versions. I was totally blown away. Such great song writing. I love his songs of travel and lost love. Very cool.

The lyrics, the sound, and how they meld together makes each of these songs a uniquely beautiful creation. I fell in love with it the second I listened to "Cursed," on Spotify and needed the rest of the album. Truly 10/10

Although lonesome dreams is still my favorite of the two. This is a fantastic sophomore album that takes you deep into the world that LH creates and along for an adventure you'll never forget ... Exceptionally great music.

These albums take me on a journey that grabs my childhood by the pants! Invoking every emotion that we all experience on a day to day basis. They have become my guiltiest pleasure when I’m feeling down. They always put me in a good mood! I do have to skip “The Night We Met” that one seems to hit home the hardest at times. But don’t fret. Most of the songs are about traveling the deepest oceans for love. Not many artist are this prescient on the idea of love, and that’s why I feel it always puts me in a good mood!

Every single song is absolutely amazing. The album will send you to places that you didn't know existed. You'll play it over and over and wish somehow you could live inside it. Your inner adventurer spirit will be awakened and you'll find yourself trying to figure out how to take off of work, pack up, and take a road trip. BUY IT!!!!

Outstanding does this album no justice. It's an absolute masterpiece, one of the only albums I can play through and restart. Check out "meet me in the woods" that's what initially got my attention.

I first heard these guys on NPRs kcrw-morning becomes eclectic. The song was from their album Lonesome dreams, the ghost on the shore. What an amazing and unique sound they have. That song made me want to see them live and I got the opportunity at Coachella when they played the next year. Love them

I've seen them live twice and been a fan since day one and the musical genius of Ben and his band are reinventing the industry. This album was an incredible work, just wish more folks, especially my generation, knew about and appreciated Lord Huron.

Been I fan since I stumbled upon them on iTunes. Saw them live in Milwaukee and they were incredible. I wondered how they would pull off their studio songs, but they did and DID NOT DISAPPOINT! One of my top 5 bands right now...

Loved their first album, and this one does it justice (this one might be even better). I listen to this album almost everyday. It makes you feel adventurous and lively. I keep looking to see if there is a new album coming out! You can't go wrong with this album. Lyrics and music make you feel alive!!! AMAZING

Listening to this album is like opening a Christmas present. I can't keep myself from smiling when I hear their music.

LH calms me and they will not disappoint. Their folk and instrumental sound is perf and I find myself always in the mood for their music.

It's been nearly a year and I still catch myself repeating several of these tracks every other day or so. This band did an outstanding job in not only creating this album, but by sticking to their sound and lyrically providing songs based on stories, love, and death. This album is truly fantastic and I would highly recommend it.

Had never heard of Lord Huron before the spring of 2015 but got introduced to Strange Trails by a fluke of fate and now it’s an all-time favorite. Just saw Lord Huron in concert in Los Angeles and they are even better, “live!"

Lonesome Dreams was, and still is, one of my favorite folk-rock albums of all time. I thought it was impossible for Lord Huron to top themselves with Strange Trails, but they did. They created such a vast landscape of sounds and stories. Each track carries its own unique identity, yet they all flow together as if they recorded the entire album in one continuous sitting. I have so much respect for this band’s musicianship, originality, vocal harmonies, and songwriting. This is the kind of music that speaks to the soul.

The music is so calming and yet so moving. Outstanding album. It's true art. I would give it more than 5 stars if that were possible! I can't wait to hear what they'll release in the future.

As someone mentioned earlier, this album plays like a supernatural/thriller novel from end to end. It could be the soundtrack to Stranger Things Season 2. I am so grateful that the artists took the time and devotion in creaothis masterpiece. Bravo!

Amazing 😄

I've always been a fan of Indie music, and never liked much of the music on the radio. But after searching through YouTube for about an hour, I found the song Meet Me in the Woods. It automatically became my favorite song, and probably forever will. More research led to me loving all of Lord Huron's Strange Trails album songs. ( I'm actually listening to Meet Me in the Woods right now!!) ☺️😉👍

This is an album I would want to listen to if stuck on a deserted island. Every time I listen to a song, connecting the stories, it triggers my imagination and I dream of new paths and adventures and connections between. I can’t help but move along - haunting melodies, dreamy sounds. They’ve excelled from Lonesome Dreams which got me hooked on them as a band. Reminds me of some Marty Robbins songs and how they connect…thanks for leading me down a strange trail.

One of the two or three albums where I can listen to every song and love every song.

I can't stop listening to Lord Huron. The music is beautiful-- fresh, transporting, unforced, and is perfect for both a road trip and a quiet evening. Quite a feat. The lyrics... no cliches here. Just beautiful word pictures written by a modern-day poet of the heart and the Earth. Haven't loved an album this much in many years. Thank you Lord Huron!

I never write reviews but I just have to say that Strange Trails and Lonesome Dreams are the two best albums I have heard in a very long time. Love every song on each album. Still play Lonesome Dreams on a regular basis too. Never get tired of it.

This is the first time I felt an actual connection to music.

Lord Huron is such a unique band. Not only do they sound exceptional as a whole, their musicality illustrates the time and thought that went into this album. They have a unique ability to tastefully approach the topic of death and its reality which is quite uncommon in popular music. Some may complain that the songs all sound the same but that is a rather skin-deep conclusion. Each track takes on its own story; the arrangements are meant to blend together but they do stand alone quite well. Their music makes the listener think and that alone makes this album worth purchasing.

This is another fine collection of music, beautifully crafted. Thanks again Lord Huron for another Album that I can't stop listening to. If your looking for some amazing music that you'll enjoy for years to come, look no further.

I can't explain how amazing "Night We Met" is. I heard the song in "13 Reasons Why", and couldn't stop listening to it. Easter rolls around and I get an iTunes gift card. I went to Heaven with it! I got amazing songs, but one I was ecstatic to buy was "Night We Met". It's just so heartfelt. I love it and will never get over it. 💖

I love this band. They sound like no other. The world influence on there sound. It is so smooth and flowing so pleasant to listen to.
