- Eh...not thrilled

So this album is okay. The songs and lyrics aren't bad but this album...look, I know Lifehouse is the slow, acoustic pop rock genre band...but this album has almost no edge at all. I'm not asking for an entire album; I know their sound is what sells but one, two max songs out of fourteen that aren't soft ballads just isn't cutting it. Again, some songs are good, not saying it's a bad album overall. It's just honestly repetitive and, as a result, boring.

- Best album great great great

My favorite album from them they did it again

- Takes me back!

What a flashback to their first album which continues to be my favorite. Love that they are keeping true to their sound. I can find meaning in every single song and each one touches me. Can't wait to see them in concert in July!

- Another Masterpiece!

I've been with this band since 2008's "Who We Are" and ever since then, they've continued to impress me! This album continues that streak!! Love all the songs especially "Hurricane" and I can't wait to buy the album when it comes out.

- Lifehouse Can Do No Wrong

Lifehouse is my all-time favorite band. Jason's voice will always take me to a special place. I admit to cutting them some slack with Almeria because I know how important it is for artists to experiment with new and different things. But I gotta admit, "Out of the Wasteland" doesn't have any songs I feel like skipping. You def have to listen a few times and that's when you start hearing the gems. Gems that remind us how great of a writer and poet Jason Wade is (YESTERDAY'S SON, RUNAWAYS). Also nice to hear from Bryce on STARDUST. Haven't decided on a favorite yet - I'm still in the honeymoon stage where I'm in love with all the songs. This band doesn't get enough credit but as long as they keep working, I will be satisfied.

- Awesome!!!

I can't wait for the whole album to be out, and is nice to hear the whole album on pandora.

- Awesome!

I love this band and I love this album! You will not be sorry if you buy it!!

- omg

back to the original love u guys

- Original

i missed hearing original music, just amazing .

- Back to the Good Stuff

Love the album! Like others will say, the band has moved closer to their original sound in many of the songs on this album. Now, we just need Midnight in Philadelphia!

- Brilliant

I love everything about this album.

- Not that impressed so far! What happened to the "Smoke & Mirrors" sound?

I am a music person and I have a ear for what I think sounds like great music. By far your best song would be "By Your Side" in my own opinion. "Hurricane" is a decent song but from what I hear on Itunes so far this album I'm not really that impressed. You guys have tons of talent and I would love to hear more commercial sounding tunes like "By Your Side" "First Time" "Between The Raindrops" and "Halfway Gone"

- AWESOME ALBUM

LIFEHOUSE never disappoints, so proud of them 💙

- Amazing

So far with three songs that have already been released I've been impressed with the amazing quality of the songs and their depth of emotion

- Amazing

These songs make my heart happy. Lifehouse does it again. Absolute perfection.

- Lifehouse is back

Thank you for coming back after your hiatus! If you are a Lifehouse fan you will be excited because this album delivers everything you love about them and more. If you don't love them, this is the album to change your mind!!!

- Just like the originals!

So glad they're back to songs that sound more like their older ones. Was not a fan of the recent CD, Almeria. I love Flight, Hurricane, and Wish. Cannot wait for the entire album release!!

- Runaways

Wow! Love this album! "Runaways" may be my favorite Lifehouse song ever!

- Unexpectedly great.

I must admit the first time I listened to the album I was a little bummed. I was holding out for a heavier rock album. With that out of the way I have to say I love the album. The lyrics are spot on, and even though I feel I am missing some heavy drums and guitars it all seems to fit together perfectly. I would give it a 4.5 stars but I will round up just because. I don't feel like I have a favorite song or least favorite on the album. I can honestly sit and listen from begining to end and not feel like skipping over a song. That makes an awesome album. Everything good thing they have done seem roll into this album. I usually have more to say on these reviews but you just got to hear it for yourself, there's not much I can say!

- Their Back!!!

Firing Squad....👌👌👌

- Mixed bag.

Fairly disappointing. Mixed bag with some incredible tunes like "Flight," "Hurricane," and "Hourglass." Lifehouse didn't really return to their roots. It's more repetitive to the previous two albums.

- Flight

The iTunes sample of "Flight" just doesn't do it justice. Listen to the YouTube lyric video, if you haven't. Powerful vocals for powerful lyrics. Certainly resembles "Everything" in that it starts slow and speeds up towards the end. Having listened to the whole album on Pandora, "Flight" is definitely my favorite on this album. Like the whole album, though. 😊☺️😊😍

- Lifehouse is Life

great, as per usual

- Too slow

Too slow overall for my liking. I am a fan of their faster, more rock music such as Smoke and Mirrors.

- Epic album

This is just what I've been wanting for from Lifehouse for years! Amazing album one of their best for sure!

- Glad!

I was just wondering ... when something new was coming. Thanks guys!!

- Awesome

Great album!

- Amazing

Every song is catchy and relatable. Love it.

- Amazing!

Amazing as always. Love you guys so much!

- Finally....it's here!

Worth the wait! Love the new album. Can't wait for the tour!!

- LifeHouse being LifeHouse

Love it! From the start to the end. Got my August tickets too. Rock on!!!

- Back to the roots

This album is beautiful!! It is a welcomed return to the ballads and intimate feel from their first several albums that made me fall in love with their music

- Wonderful as always!

I've loved Lifehouse since the mid 2000's and this album is so much alike to their past albums. I love that. I have always kept their amazing sound and I am so excited that they came out with a new album! Still waiting on my dream to come true where I see them live <3 Definitely in my top three for bands.

- Best since 2005

I have to say this album is incredible. Their last couple of albums have been good, but pale in comparison to this one. I haven’t heard an album this great from Lifehouse since their self titled album came out in 2005. Great job guys.

- Beyond obsessed

Wow! They have done it again! The lyrics and sound for this album reminds me of the old days of Lifehouse. They have gone back to their roots and it couldn't sound better. "Flight" is so incredibly powerful that it takes me to another place altogether. Every song is a repeat song for sure. Jason Wade's talent is show stopping and I cannot wait to see them on the road! Good job boys!

- out of the wasteland

This album is really really good!

- Best Since Who We Are

The last couple of Lifehouse albums haven't been as much as I was expecting, but with this album they bring back the old Lifehouse that I know and love. From "Hurricane" to "Hourglass", each of the songs have an innate beauty about them that make you want to listen over and over - my favorites are Stardust and Flight, but that being said, all of the songs are solid and worth the money.

- Rock?

Disappointed not the lifehouse I know Definalntly not rock music .

- Just pre-ordered!!!

I am so excited.... Love me some Lifehouse!! Saw them live last year.... Amazing 😋👍🏻

- What We've Been Waiting For!

I have loved this band from the very beginning, and they are exceptionally special to me. I wasn't sure what to expect from this album. Lead singer and songwriter, Jason Wade promoted this release as something the old fans would love, work that he is very proud of and is excited for us to hear. In the simplest of terms, they nailed it! Jason's lyrics are initially what drew us in with No Name Face. He's quite an amazing songwriter whose lyrics sincerely touch the heart, make you feel, and that paint a picture of what he is trying to express. Those deeper and more meaningul songs had been missing in later releases Smoke & Mirrors and Almeria, especially. The very best of Lifehouse and Jason Wade's writing are back and are demonstrated throughout Out of the Wasteland. I want to specifically comment on the album closer, "Hourglas". I can't remember ever tearing up and feeling such strong emotions on the first listen of a song. Jason's voice has never sounded more beautiful or pure than it does on this track. Once again, Lifehouse has created music that invokes a wide range of emotions, especially hope. There are no songs to be skipped on Out of the Wasteland - it is outstanding beginning to end.

- Great sounding

Jason's voice is so clear and strong as are the lyrics and melodies. This is classic lifehouse at there best. I think this is the best album to date. I love all there stuff but this one goes back to the beginning and it shows. There all in great form both musically and vocally. This album so far as what's been released, sounds really great and worth the wait.

- My favorite band in the world! Period!

I'm so happy a new album is coming out. When I saw them at the Orange County Fair, they made it sound like they were going on hiatus or even breaking up. So this is the best news I could have gotten about my favorite band. They are amazing live, which I have seen them 4 times, and always make a great albums. I'm sure this one will be no different from what I've heard so far. Thanks guys for an amazing career and being the soundtrack to my life. Long live Lifehouse!

- The most inspiring album yet!

Wonderful music. Some of my favorite Lifehouse songs yet!

- Great sound

It is fantastic that they went back to an older sound but with a slight new twist here and there. One that a lot of us really like.

- Love love love!

They did it again! Amazing album. I absolutely love this group. They never disappoint. Thank you guys :)

- Beautiful....too slow

This album has so much rich sound and beauty. The lyrics are great. Jason always writes so well. I believe a lot of people will enjoy this album. Having said all that, this album is too slow for my taste. I miss the harder rock of "no name face" and "Stanley climbfall" as well as the edgy tunes on "lifehouse" I am not a huge fan of the modern soft rock band lifehouse has turned into, but again that is just my personal taste. Overall solid effort.

- Excellence: What the Music Industry needs these Days

Lifehouse has never yet disapointed me, although their last album Almeria was less appealing it was still satisfying nevertheless. This album, Out of the Wasteland, is a glimmer of hope that truly rises out of the wasteland that is the music industry recently.

- Lifehouse is Life.

I grew up with Lifehouse. They craft amazing music! The new album is very good and harkens back to No Name Face. So glad to have Lifehouse back on the mainstream!

- Always satisfying

I've been a Lifehouse fan for years and they never cease to amaze me. Just when you think they couldn't possibly touch your heart and soul any more than they already have, they come out with something new that does exactly that. "Flight" became one of my favorite songs upon first listen and I'm excited to hear the rest of the album.

- SO HAPPY

honestly i love them so much i am so happy they came out with new music
