Taylor Swift - We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together Video Wiki

"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift for her fourth studio album, Red (2012). Swift co-wrote the song with its producers, Max Martin and Shellback. The song was released as the lead single from Red on August 13, 2012, by Big Machine Records. Its lyrics depict Swift's frustrations at an ex-lover who wants to re-kindle their relationship. Rolling Stone magazine named the song the second best song of 2012 while it took the fourth spot in Time's end-of-year poll. The song received a Grammy Award nomination for Record of the Year. It also received a People's Choice Awards nomination for Favorite Song of the Year. The song was an instant commercial success, becoming Swift's first number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States, as well as the first song to hold the top spot for more than one week after a huge leap from a lower position since Kelly Clarkson's two-week run at number one with "My Life Would Suck Without You", which rocketed from number 97 to the top spot in 2009. Additionally, the song also topped the charts in Canada and New Zealand, while reaching the top five in Australia, Japan, South Korea, Ireland, Israel and the United Kingdom. It also topped the US Hot Country Songs for ten weeks, Swift's longest reign to date. A music video for the song was released in August 2012. It was the first music video to be presented in 4K resolution and received positive reviews from critics. To date, it has received over 560 million views on YouTube. A CD single was released in September 2012 by Swift's official store, Amazon.com and US Walmart stores. The single has been certified Quintuple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), while also being certified platinum or more in Australia, the United Kingdom, Sweden, New Zealand, Japan and Denmark. The song is one of the best-selling singles worldwide, with worldwide sales reaching 7 million copies to date (according to the IFPI)..

  • Okay....

It's a really catchy song! It of course talks about how her and her ex boyfriend(A.K.A Harry Styles) broke up. This sums up how every teenage girl feels after a break up.
  • It's ok ch

    Cool Taylor pop
I'm not much of a Taylor fan other then 1989 . This song and video is real 3 unlikeable things . One annoying, two not a very positive role model , three flat out weird . This song aka music video is annoying because we are never ever getting back together is nonsense making Taylor lose her mind in the most annoying ways . A example she is to make fun when people are in fights or some bad relationship . So weird Taylor has friends dressed up in some little kids animals suits . Come on Taylor

I don't understand why "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" is so popular like it is. In fact, I absolutely hate this song. The statement "I Am Never Ever Getting What's So Great About This Song" seems to fit the bill. For one thing, "WANEGBT" is once again ANOTHER song Taylor Swift wrote about some stupid breakup (surprise, surprise). She has more than enough of those already. At 22 years old, Taylor should have discovered by now that there's a whole lot more to life than just boys and your exes. Again, I'm not hating on Taylor, but it is quite annoying (and gives you a bad image) when at least 4/5 of your songs deal with the same old, poor-pitiful-me-you-broke-my-heart-you're-no-good topic over and over again. She has so much more potential than this. Secondly, the lyrics are very immature and repetitive - "I hate you, we break up, you call me, I love you. Weeeeeeeee are never ever ever ever...getting back together. Like, ever." "WANEGBT" sounds like something either a little kid or a bratty teenage drama queen wrote, instead of a grown-up woman. Thirdly, classifying "WANEGBT" as country is like saying real country singers like George Strait and Miranda Lambert are heavy metal. This song is pure POP, and nowhere near country. Lastly, regarding the video, what on Earth do animals have to do with a break up? Are Taylor and her band making a music video, or are they auditioning for "Sesame Street" or "Bear In The Big Blue House?" Again, as I have previously mentioned, Taylor Swift is so much better than this. She has a lot of talent and potential and really should not waste them on a bunch of songs about getting her heart broken. There are many more topics to write about (like good relationships, falling in love, your family, friends, and just life), Taylor. Stop writing every song about some guy dumping you in the street and be more original. Please have more variety in your songs (like you did with your debut album and songs you wrote for movies).
  • Not Improved

Taylor was doing amazing in the beginning of her career but it went downhill with the songs getting more and more childish. She shouldn't even qualify as a country singer anymore. I was a fan until I grew up and found more mature music. Sorry Taylor.
