This album definitely is not an r&b album I don't even think this album can go under a specific genre at all.I feel like instead of slightly changing his style he went too far and altogether this album is slightly below average

- Perfect from beginning to end

I was with a few of the reviewers and said this can't compare to Kaleidoscope dream, but I one day decided to truly listen without skipping after a few seconds. EVERY track is great on this album. Kaleidoscope Dream was definitely slower and sexist, but stop comparing and just enjoy the direction went with in this album. Comparing the 2 album/ is tomatos and oranges, but both are still individually great. I might even say I like Wildheart more than Kaleidoscope Dream at this point.

I've listened to countless albums my whole life. Old school classics and this new wave of music that these young generational teens gravitate towards. All the radio music Pop tunes,R&B rap and so on and so forth.This artist Miguel is a special talent.This album pushes any artist who Needs his or herself to not sound like everybody else in this mosh pit of nonsensical music today.Ive listened to this album with open ears and nobody can't tell me this dude ain't tryna be different. A lot of you people don't like change.You like your music simple and easy to digest. I didn't take to this album also the first 3 times I listened to it. But the forth time my ears opened up and I think this album is one of the illest I've heard in a long time from a new artist.the sounds and lyrics he uses are on another level and ever track thumps. I listen to this album every day and I haven't got tired of it yet. You all need to open your ears and stop complaining about this album don't sound like his last. When an artist does music your supposed to try new sounds and new techniques.I don't know what you guys listen to sometimes.

After going through the entire album; this made me fall in love with music all over again. Ranging from a feel of grunge, r&b, disco beats and so on, I truly enjoyed it. Rarely does music have the ability to transport my mind. Very sensual and rich. Absolutely, hands down, one of the best albums I've heard in a long time.

This guy is electrifying!!! His voice was meant to be paired with a guitar! I don’t see how anyone could rate this album anything less than 4 starts??!! A lot of people who say the only good songs are Coffee and Simple Things haven’t listened to this album in its entirety. All these songs have different vibes for different occasions and I listen to the tracks accordingly or I could just hit play and let it go. Beautiful Exit!! The intro alone sets this album off!! What’s Normal Anyway.. this guy understands lol let’s just say that. Hollywood Dreams is definitely one of my top faves! Leaves followed by Face The Sun! Face The Sun with Lenny Kravitz? Why isn’t anyone raving about this song? That song will have you put everything you are doing down, hop in the car, take your girl for a drive with the top down and let the breeze blow though her hair so you can admire her beauty and let it consume you just before the sun sets!! Needless to say this album is a work of art! Edgier than the first two and even War and Leisure, but it works!

I've never really listened to Miguel...but this is a raw and real album. It's really good!/////I wrote this review a while back but i wanted to add how much this album made me feel disconnected from the world when i would listen to it. In a good way, but it made me really dig deep & connect with myself. It really opened up a new sound to r/b too. This is one of my favorite albums of all time.

I love this album!! It's very experimental and fuses r&b and rock. It's different from kaleidoscope dream and reminds me of something Prince would've done a la the 80s. Anyways I like that he's changing and exploring and though I love his r&b side if you really listen to this album you'll love it.

I love this album. It's soulful yet modern and just brings butterflies to my spirit hearing Miguel's sweet voice and sultry tone. This album is the real deal. Totally addictive and on constant repeat in my car. To the naysayers: I have nothing. Negative to say to you or against your opinion. I'd just ask and suggest that you maybe listen to it while riding or while chilling out without any other distractions and listen to his words. I admit some words sound muffled if your not truly listening, but once you do I surely feel confident that you will fall in love and become just as addicted to this album as I am. I love it! Thanks Miguel... Forever a fan of your work and style. 😍😎

I love how he experiments with his music, but I loved his earlier albums a little more because I never had to skip a song while listening to All I want is you and Kaleidoscope Dream. Maybe it's because they grew on me since I listened to them longer. Still he is my #1 favorite artist and this is a work of art ❤️

For all of those who want “smooth lyrics” and “his old stuff,” keep in mind that artists GROW and that’s why this album is so, so, so beautiful. I have never bothered writing a review for an album before, but Miguel is one of those few artists who stays true to his art and not afraid to take his music to the next level (and beyond!). The album is unbelievably sexy, nuanced, and sonically complex. Miguel doesn’t just sing, he makes music. Sometimes his voice isn’t on top of the music--it’s battling with it, riding with it, sinking into it. Charming album, addictive even. Miguel just *gets* it.

- Miguel!! Why'd you do this to us?

This is not a great album "if" you are expecting what Miguel brought in the previous 2. Hope you do enjoy it though. It's just not making the hair on my neck stand up. Where are my soulful R&B pop jams? These songs are all over the place and the album seems experimental - not a bad thing but just not my style of smoothness that I expect from Miguel.

These were indeed two poignant, but beautiful pieces that describe the dance of life. So keen and touching , as I relate so keenly, the words seem to jump right off the pages at me, and cause me to cringe from embarrassment,,shame and guilt. Yet Yet, Pride and a ridiculous sense of great accomplishment. Being that, the stories Strike me as a sense of confirmation; as I test and sharp-hone my powers—especially that forever present sense of perception, the one that can’t be tamed , repressed, suppressed, or put to sleep nor death. It is fear; the fear of breaking such a major rule as :”thou shall not kill.” An act that would cause one to fail once again when there is so much at stake. Another karmaric cycle of mental anguish and pain due to one simple action that One “must@“?run away from. With great power, they say, comes great responsibility. Now knowing, and accepting. What a “Transcendence.”

Album has some smooth music that any R&B artist can relate to as well as that Miguel Style that explodes with love and passion. Best Miguel Album so far in my opinion.

A really inconsistent album in a negative way. The flow does not work and the style does not mesh well song to song. FLESH - is an absolute stand out however the rest of the album declines in authenticity and lacks depth and meaning as his talent is wasted in trying to produce 'mainstream/normative' sounds of the modern times. Be different Miguel and embrace it, that's what will gain you followers not this plain sounding stuff.
