Because I dont listen to rap, I never gave this album a shot. Nearly 2 yrs later, I finally got around to streaming. Those rounds on Drink Champs, The Breakfast Club & other outlets made me intrigued. I HATE the N word but the use of it on this project was within context of the social conversations if you will. With that being said, I havent listened to or purchased a hip hop album since Jay Z's American Gangster. I will say without doubt, this album is easily TOP 5 OF ALL TIME. I will leave it there

Now one of my favorite albums need more like it 🤙🏾

I've been waiting for this album for a very long time much like everyone else. But, I always saw a light in you. I remember you reading a poem off of a laptop long ago and I knew you were more than what we saw. Thank you for seeing who you are and returning to us to show us who we are. ✊🏿

I can't begin to choose a favorite track because I enjoy the journey that the God Box takes me on. It is the soundtrack to awakening activism and consciousness. It illustrates David Banner's transformation from dirty south lyricist to Mississippi master guru of African pride and deliberate provocation of spirit. It even ends with a meditative instruction on mindfulness. It starts with roots, Magnolia ft. Cee-Lo and Raheem DeVaughn, this song is a melodic story of strange fruit with excellent vocals by both featured artists. My Uzi and Who Want It both are bangers and warn you that Banner is ready for confrontation. While Elvis exposes the historic theft of Black music by the industry, Amy challenges Blacks to choose the monicker of "king". I could go on but then there's a sonic surprise by Judy Blare and Traffic on Mars. Punk rock guitars and psychedelic melodies work well over dope beats and slick lyrics. This album appeals to the punk, hippie, hip hop head that I am. More importantly, I'm inspired to move with awareness and love through this world as a result. This album has changed my life!

Words really can't explain the music just speaks for itself. It's a rare kind of music . It'll put you in a different kind of vibration (my experience) 🔥🔥

This album was sooooo worth the wait! Buy it! You won't be disappointed.

I don't buy much but this album deserves to be heard on so many levels. Bringing the art back to music and vice versa. David Banner thank you for giving music that inspires again. I was just telling people hardly any new music inspires anymore and I was not listening or buying. It was only old school for me.

I'm loving the album. But hate how itunes handled this album. I preordered this over a year at full price in hopes that i could support the brother and the movment. Im now being charged and aditional $3.54 to download what i already paid for. Im tired of being taken advantaged of iTunes!

If you watched his Breakfast club interview, you'd understand why he pushed it back. Smh. Some people in these reviews aint real. I remember in that interview, he said that we are all we got and if he has us, he don't need them. I bought it right after he said that. I appreciate him showing us the blueprint on being a man, a standup individual, using our voice and more importantly, loving ourselves. Salute to the god David Banner for putting out a great piece of work. Great work can be appreciated by those with ears to listen. "Cleopatra Jones" and "Judy Blare" are 2 of my favorite joints. "Traffic on Mars" grew on me. Rarely do you hear conscious music that teaches and entertains. Great production. Proud to say I pet-ordered it. Well worth the wait. ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾

Best album of the year so far

I'm LOVING THIS. WITHOUT A QUESTION, his DOPEST album to date. He WENT IN. THIS is what it is about, not that mindless crap that's pushed on our people. Our culture, we'll do with it as we please. It's about time someone didn't hold the punches. Non-Blacks gon' call you racist while listening to OUR music at the same time lol. You don't like it, get to steppin.' If you are looking for the old David Banner, he’s here but more enlightened. This is not watered down rap, this is historic hip hop. Don’t buy this if you not ready for truth that’s straight with NO chaser!!

I am glad he took his time with this becasue he put his heart into this album. I listen to every track one by one and LISTEN TO EVERYTHING. The words and the beats, plus I repeated the track if missed the beginning of it because I wanted and needed to hear the words that were being expresses. Love the album. I’m amazed how many people don’t like this album because banner is telling the truth. Call black people Kings and queens and teach them history and people hate him. But these same people love albums with people calling each other N word.
