By "He is loosing it" I dont mean he is not the best because He is. But He saying 'He is the best' over and over and over is getting Old and sadly he is putting that in more songs than before. "Premio", "Golden Intro" are examples of it. I personally dislike "Sin Filtro" I think is extra and unnecesary. "Carmin" is great, one the the best songs to my like because it have a different touch other the same classic Romeo Songs I would call that 'Golden Touch' instead. that's something made Romeo Great. the ability to adjust his congs featuring other great singers. now when he sings alone it feels repetitive, boring. (to my personal like) "Centavito" is good as well as "Reina de Papi". (If he just focus on composing and singing he can do great songs) "El Amigo" is alright. I like the small change of tempo. I dont like Romeo singing always on a low note though. It feels boring. but good on the high parts. As a general note I dont think This album has the level of quiality of Previous Albums with song like "Inocente", "Amigo", "Hilito", "Propuesta Inocente", "La Diabla", "Que se mueran", "Llevame contigo", "Mi Santa", "Soberbio", "Debate de 4" to mention some. Good luck for future compositions.

I really like the album, is it better than Formula Vol. 1 or Formula Vol. 2 I'd say no, but at the same time it is a very good album. Really need to listen to the lyrics of the songs, everyone has their own style so all of his music is always going to sound similar. He's still the best artist to me in the music industry, my favorite singer and artist since I was a kid so I know he'll see the feedback & improve from it.

Honestly the album is best when you listen to it straight through. My favorite tracks were El Papel (Marido version), Imitadora, sobredosis, un vuelo a la, El Amigo, and more. Really to me it's a solid record.

Fans should expect better and different, not more of the same, in rhythms and subject matter. Romeo Santos is a good interpreter, however, his music is becoming uneventful, unsurprising, and quite honestly expected. There are good moments in certain songs, but overall the album lacks genuine emotion, and musical majesty. The title "Golden" doesn't suit the music inside the album. Its true that the best artists are those thatmaintain themselves in the spotlight after many years. But Romeo Santos' music hasn't been able to reinterpret itself. Its always more of the same. Love, sex, cheating have now become cliches in his music. I'm sure the album will do well in the Latin pop charts, but artistically speaking, has Romeo Santos hit a ceiling when it comes to musical innovation? Maybe...lets hope not, maybe the next album we will see a true musical genius of the Bachata genre...

I love Romeo santos but this album.. i don't know it's missing something, I only liked 3 songs out of the whole album... I even preordered, disappointed.

Golden is a masterpieces, just to get that out of the way, the album is incredible. It is pleasing to both the ears, in terms of the musical composition, as well as the mind in terms of the lyricism. Contrary to Romeo’s past albums, including his beginnings with Aventura, the lyrics are more complex. I was personally surprised, as the single, Heroé Favorito, has very simple and direct metaphors: He is comparing himself to fictional superheroes! Truthfully, I was expecting the other songs to follow the same style, as in Romeo experimenting with a more direct and literal style of writing. Yet he didn’t, it is full of complex allegories, metaphors and sublime messages. Each song is specific enough for the audience to understand the narration, yet complex enough for them to individually interpret and reach different conclusions. There is depth to this album, a feeling of intimacy with Romeo himself, but without abandoning fiction. This isn’t uncommon in Romeo’s works, he knows how to get in character with his composition, nevertheless it is worth mentioning and appreciating. I personally feel that Romeo is writing from a better place in life. The songs maintain many of his reoccurring themes, such as love and heartbreak, infidelity, seduction and the value of another human being, in a more content way. Yes, the heartbreak is still there, you still feel for the unnamed characters but at the same time you know that they will be okay, that they will recover. Not to compare 2017 Romeo to 2002 Romeo, but as an example: Enseñame Olvidar, by the end of that song you honestly begging to question if you, the listener would be okay, let alone the protagonist of the song. It feels as is all the past album were a build up of obstacles, heartbreak and disappointment, and in Golden ‘he’ was finally able to overcome it. I want to focus on the songs El Papel (part 1 and part 2). These songs are written in such a way that you are able to feel for not just the lover and the husband, but for the woman in question as well. The woman is the protagonist and yet, her thoughts and opinions are never stated. These songs present not only unfaithful and weary characters, but conflicted, complex characters. It brings up the question of a Sexual Soulmate, of the role sex plays in a relationship: is it the most important aspect of a relationship, or should your partner satisfy more than just your personal needs? If you were in her place, would you be unfaithful to a man who outside of the bedroom satisfy all of your needs, would you risk it? Can we judge her? Wholeheartedly recommend! Take your time listening to it, there is more to this album than what you might think.
