I’m a ridiculously huge fan of Imagine Dragons. I memorized every song they put out since 2009 and four songs from before then. It’s kinda cool to listen to, but Dan needs to be true to himself. And it’s sorta generic, tbh. Don’t mean to be picky, but Imagine Dragons needs to give at least a little more than this. Might be buying this. We’ll see. It’s growing on me…

As much as I love this song, I’m a little disappointed in it as well. When I found out they made a new song, I was really excited to hear it! I love it, but it shouldn’t be “Kygo & Imagine Dragons” it’s more like “Kygo feat. Dan Reynolds” because it’s literally just Dan singing over Kygo’s music. Where is the rest of the band at?? Besides the fact that we don’t get to hear the rest of the band 😢 I love this song so much and I have to say great job to Kygo and Dan

I absolutely love the vocals and lyrics to your songs but the actual music itself sounds so generic to all your other songs. If you stepped outside your comfort zone you would produce some sick stuff!

Love all of Kygo's songs, but this one is just not hitting so hard. And belive me I'm forcing myself to like it, but it's just O-K. The chrous and the sound of Imagine Dragons in a kygo song just sounds weak.

No I’m just mad this song is just no bueno. Dan’s vocals are edited to the moon and back and it sounds terrible along with the dance beat from Kygo. Not very happy if this is where this “evolution” is going

Clearly, this song was not written for me. I, honestly, have no idea if the song is good/bad within the genre. But I DO know that every song on Continued Silence / Night Visions was infinitely better than this. Imagine Dragons got a lot of the fans they have by producing relatively original songs with a unique sound. They have since leveraged that fanbase into something larger by dropping bland, mass-appeal pop. That isn't to say that they aren't better than the other artist writing generic (they are, they're Imagine Dragons). But why write unassuming electro-nothing when you can create music with soul? Just a thought...
