- Simply amazing.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this soundtrack is something else... The Hidden World is breathless. I can literally picture where in the movie the song plays. This soundtrack is 100% worth the money to buy it. John Powell is one of my top favorite composers!

- Best movie by far

This is amazing

- 🤩🤩🤩😍😍😍🖤🖤🖤

I saw the movie and it was amazing I love the music John Powell makes and I love the songs Jonsi sings I officially have every HTTYD song (I’m definitely NOT obsessed)

- Great job!!!

Love it all

- Out standing

I’ve seen the movie and I loved it but why?! Why! Do hiccup and Toothless get split up!!!!!!!!!!!WHY WHY WHYYYYYY!!!!!!

- It’s cool

Love it

- Amazing!

This sound track is amazing! I love it so much. I cry every time I watch this movie and every time I listen to these songs

- The perfect soundtrack

Having listened to the soundtrack before seeing the movies, this soundtrack by itself is brilliant. After seeing the movie, it just nails the raw emotion of the film. Really want to hear this played with a live orchestra.

- Amazing!

I've just watched the movie on DVD and I just bought "Once There Were Dragons." And, I love it! And, I give this whole album 5 stars!

- Worthy of Historical Immortality

Listen, I don’t cry much, but this time I was practically bawling. I’ve listened to every track in the series, and I think it’s safe to say that this soundtrack is the best. John Powell poured his heart into composing this, and I’d say he did an amazing job. The opening starts with a sinister touch from the villain’s theme, but it lightens up rather quickly because the classic “This is Berk” theme jumps in. I have to say the trumpet solo gave me the chills (I play trumpet and I love trumpet solos in any music). Powell introduces a few new themes here, including Grimmel’s theme, the light/night fury theme, and the hidden world theme (my personal favorite, it gets me every time), yet he interweaves themes from the previous movies seamlessly. I find that Grimmel's theme matches his personality and displays his evil intent effectively. The light/night fury theme is somewhat similar to Romantic Flight, but its rhythm captures the bold nature of Toothless and the light fury while also expressing the passion that the dragons have for each other. The hidden world theme by itself is just beautiful. This theme is all about the majestic and grand world of the dragons and Jónsi does a great job of capturing the mysteriousness of the new world. However, the end is where this soundtrack truly shines. “Armada Battle” is where Powell brings back some of the older themes, and he puts them together in a way that expresses how Hiccup has progressed through life. “As Long as He’s Safe” brings back Test Drive, showing how the light fury has become tolerant of Hiccup. This track also brings back the heart-wrenching theme found in Losing Mom and Toothless Found. It creates a picture of the dragons leaving for good, and that everyone on Berk has to accept that fact. This part was very emotional and got a few tears out of me, but the final track took the cake. “Once There Were Dragons” is where Hiccup and Astrid finally get married, and it made me feel better after the depressing end to the last track. However, Powell quickly brings up another nostalgic theme and he soon starts to build up emotional tension by using the hidden world theme and Forbidden Friendship. The tension is released through the classic end to the movie’s predecessors along with a small bit of the night/light fury theme. Before I got to this part I had managed to hold in a large amount of nostalgia and emotion, but as soon as the theme dropped, I could not hold my composure for any longer and I just let myself go. Powell could not have done a better job with this even if he tried again. In my opinion this soundtrack should go down in history as one of the greatest musical compositions in the world. Then again, I’m probably just biased because I’ve loved this movie series and its music ever since I first saw it.

- Bravo!! Love it

I love the movie and the song’s keep on working at it guys bravo

- - Breathtaking -

This is the best of John Powell I’ve heard. I love the celtic airs it contains, and the themes only heard in the first movie until now. Though hardcore middle earth fans might hate me for this, I think John Powell’s work on Dragons can compete with the Lord of the Rings for best soundtrack ever. HTTYD The Hidden World: My new favorite soundtrack - Original Review for 'The Hidden World Suite' - The Hidden World Suite is amazing. It's epic. It's grand. I can only hope it receives the recognition it deserves. An instant classic capable of holding it's own with other great classical pieces.

- Best!

Been waiting for the movie for 5 years. My personal best is furies in love and once there were dragons!

- Magnificent

I love that the music reflects the first two movies, yet has its own distinct sounds. The fact that the soundtrack has me crying everytime I listen to it is amazing, shows that John Powell worked hard on this.

- John Powell is the jesus of music so buy this and stuff

Okay, I haven't got it since it's not out yet and all that, but you know it's gonna be great because first off, John Powell is the ultimate music dad and knows what he's doing, and second, I am staying up for hours listening to friggin demos on a school night. So there is that too. BUT ITS WORTH GETTING BAD GRADES, MY EARS ARE RECEIVING BLESSINGS, JUST AT WAY TOO HIGH OF DECIBELS, BUT STILL BLESSINGS NONETHELESS!

- One of the Best!

John Powell's beautiful scores for this whole series have impacted listeners as much as the movies themselves did. This is excactly what a good soundteack is supposed to do. This soundtrack accomplishes this goal just as well as the past two, if not better. Here's a tip: Buy the whole soundtrack. Do not just buy the popular tracks. The whole album is worth it, and it sounds so much better in its entirety!

- Oh Thor!

May I just say, I’m just listening to the samples, and I’m sobbing my eyes out. It feels like my literal insides are melting. Bravo John! You have done it again!💗💕💗👏🏻👏🏻

- Awesome

(And by that I mean awe-inspiring) SPOILER LOOK OUT PPLZ IF You HAVEN’T SEEN THE MOVIE YET WATCH IT NOW AND IF YOU HAVEN’T WATCHED THE FIRST TWO DO THAT TOO AND IF YOU DONT LIKE HTTYD YOU ARE A TERRIBLE PERSON lol Reminds me a little of Star Wars the Force Awakens, but it has the themes us HTTYD fans have come to love (and probably non-HTTYD fans too). It gives me goosebumps over and over. The movie literally left me sad for a day afterwards because everyone was split up at the end, and the thing that sets apart HTTYD from other movies is the characters’ relationships with their dragons, especially Astrid and Hiccup with Stormfly and Toothless. And the Light Fury was made very, very well. One of the best dragons out there, aside from Skrills (which I was hoping would be in there but, no Skrills :/ ). Anyway, great soundtrack and great movie.

- Wow

This is one of John Powells best works yet. Everything flows moves and blends perfectly to create on of the best soundtracks for a children’s movie.

- What A Finish

I waited till i could hear the whole album before writing this review. I must say that John Powell didn't disappoint. I love the throwbacks to the other 2 movies plugged into several songs. I know i’ll be listening to this over and over for quite awhile. This album brings a close to one of the best movie series i have ever seen. I cant wait to see where all this music plugs into the movie. I can already tell it could get emotional for HTTYD lovers.

- Love the Movie & Music

When I first listened to the music I love it so much I never wanted to stop so then I looked at the How To Train Your Dragon 3 Music and got the Third Date Music and then I loved it so much so I just got the hole album!

- The Hidden World

It’s the best movie in the How To Train Your Dragon series I just can’t explain how awesome it was and I personally want them to make more I can’t see it go away after 3 movies. I BEG OF THEM!

- Lovely

It’s nice when a soundtrack comes out and doesn’t sound copy and paste, or generic. This is simply... captivating.

- Tears of joy

I absolutely LOVE all of the How to Train Your Dragon movies and music. The soundtrack is gorgeous and breathtaking and brings me to tears every time. Listening to “Once there were Dragons” I loved the way John Powell wove in music from all three movies for an absolutely stunning finale. Together From Afar has me bawling my eyes out! Totally beautiful and perfect, the songs are incredible and do the movie total justice. Definitely worth it!

- I love this music

How to train you Dragon is my favorite movie ever. And I love the music even more so if I were you I would get this music

- I love every piece of How to Train Your Dragon

Always amazing I have no doubt this one will be any different! Kinda sad HTTYD is over cause like 8 years of my life.

- I love it

So I seen the movie and I love the songs and the way toothless acted so funny. So I’ll give it a five

- Loved this soundtrack!

I’m very familiar with John Powell’s works regarding soundtracks for films and was a bit disappointed with the soundtrack for the second film as it reminded me too much of the first HTTYD. This was absolutely refreshing and I loved it! The musical score was beautiful and really brought life into the film. HTTYD overall is a beautiful trilogy but you can’t beat a musical score just as beautiful.

- The Crowning Jewel of Powell’s Scores

Words cannot describe the.... emotion this score invokes in me. Bravo to Mr. Powell, you have succeeded in making me cry with music alone, and I’m not the teary type either.

- Jónsi did it again

I listened to "Together From Afar", and I was bawling not even 30 seconds in (still crying now). I'm so happy that they brought Jónsi back for another song, his voice and style of singing fits these movies so well!
