- Love this!

Don’t understand a word but has become my obsession! These guys deserve every bit of fame and fortune that comes their way! Can’t wait for the next album! Song of Women is a beautiful song and how can you not sing along to Yuve Yuve Yu!

- Amazing unique!

Great sound! Just the diversity in my playlist I was needing but did not know!

- Brilliant!!!

They are worth every penny and then some. Simplistic but at the same time magnificent!

- Surprising Mongolian metal rock!

This is a wild and wonderful combination of unique Mongolian vocals and instruments with some ancient lyrics that make it a style not heard (or seen) in western styles. It truly stands out and heads will turn when you introduce it to friends.

- Time machine!

It was hard to wait whole album now it is hard to quit listening! Put headphones on, close your eyes and travel to XIII century of Mongol

- Cave Music

If you decided to walk away from civilization forever and go live in a cave, this is the kind of music you'd listen to. It'd be good music to stalk your prey to. It's different enough to get me. I'm in.

- Oh yeah!!

Listen to it loud and your ears will orgasm

- FRESH NEW ROCK- METAL

I heard about these guys on Instagram, so I had to check them out. HOLY DIVER!!!Man this is catchy, fresh, different with that 80-90s Heavy Metal feel to it. I can' thelp but think of the series Marco Polo that was on Netflix when hearing this music. They got something here with this Mongolian Rock style. Amazing in stereo with headphones on. If you have not listened to them, check our their Wolf Totem video as well as Their other ones. Well done and seeing them perform and sing this takes it to another level. I hear some AC/DC inspiration here in their music, with some of the strins sounds and the chorus. Think TNT, THUNDERSTRUCK and Dirty Deeds and you get what I am talkng about. I been telling my rock buddies about this band and they love it!!!! Hope to see them in concert here in Chicago in September. Look forward to the rest of the album! Epect a new wave of hard rock culture styled music after their album comes out. Sure to inspire more rock artists out there!

- The Hu is the best

Their videos are good too

- Amazing

I found this band a few weeks ago and I can’t get enough. The music is so unique and captivating. Can’t wait for more.

- These guys were in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

No really, its that song from the Arena bit. Its called Black Thunder. iTunes doesn't have it (YET HINT HINT TIM COOK HINT HINT) but dammit I had to get this after I heard it.

- A New Sound for Mongolian Folk Rock

Having been a big fan of bands very much like The Hu in recent years, including Tengger Cavalry and Nine Treasures, I feel almost as if The Hu are their spiritual successors in the genre, but have done just about everything right with this album. I've been listening to it nonstop this morning and I have been awestruck by the quality of the album they've managed to put together. I did a rare thing when I pre-ordered this album, but I haven't regretted that decision for a second. I'll be seeing them in concert in November in my area and this album has only got me more pumped up about seeing them live.

- Wow!

Ran into a song of theirs on FB. Hooked immediately! Bought the album. Can’t wait to play this through my Bose head set tomorrow on the plane. I love many different styles of music, but this really stopped me and I found myself mesmerized by their sound. Awesome sound guys!!

- Great stuff. Bring on album #2!

Fills a void in my music collection I did not even realize I had.

- I like it

Mongolian Folk Music is a first for me. Sounds like Macho Man Randy Savage got a hold of some plastic tubes and sings while blowing into them. I think its great!!!! Love the whole tribal primitive sound these guys have going on

- Magnificent

Raw power and beauty personified!

- Love their music!

I’ve been following this band for a year now.. I’m stoked to finally have their album, but bummed I’ll miss their concert in Seattle by a couple days... wish they’d come to Alaska!

- I love them so much

Love the cool sound of mongolian throat singing, love rock/metal. Together: beautiful.

- Awesome!

Don’t know what they’re saying but it makes me want to ride a horse and shoot an arrow though my enemies.

- Love it

I don’t understand what they are saying bc I don’t speak Mongolian, but the music and sound are awesome!

- Mesmerising

I’m a 50 something lady. This is not what I’d have thought I would stay up waiting to be released. This album is now on my daily play list! I can’t get enough!

- I love these guys!!

Every time I hear their music I get a big grin from ear to ear.. I completely support them, and wish them great success!!

- 🤯

This band is outstanding! From their actual singing (no auto tune here folks🥱🥱) to their native and modern instruments, they are a unique band who’s music will motivate and electrify you. I use to drive a Prius and own a chihuahua. After listening to Wolf Totem, my Prius turned into a dodge demon and my chihuahua morphed into a Rottweiler!!! Peace and love 🤙🏽🤙🏽

- Can’t stop listening

Top to bottom, this album is amazing. I am in love

- Best workshop music!

Always gives me motivation to work in my forge and wood shop!!!

- Сайн уу

Учиртай гурав, Биелгээ яагаад ороогүй бэ

- Engaging musical concept

Let's not be sheep and call this heavy metal because the promotional materials do, but it's still engaging music that combines a little blues, R&B, pop and traditional sounds. Let's also not forget it's a creation of a producer trying to capitalize on a concept, and not so much a bunch of guys who have been playing this music for years in their small village or something. It's a money-making venture, so if you like the music, by all means buy it, but don't buy the idea that you're supporting "the little guy whose music is just being discovered."

- No Metal All Nonsense

Please don’t waste others time by calling this metal. Regardless of genre, it’s nonsensical blowing of air into sounds.

- The Modern Mongolian Bards

The album is a great composition of songs that illicit within myself feelings of confidence and an urge to get together with my closest friends and celebrate. An incredibly well devised fusion of musical cultures and great minds have created this - to me - masterpiece. I can tell now that this album will be one I will listen to regularly 5/5 would buy again - and probably will when they come to Atlanta.

- Powerful

Interesting mix of deep throat singing and heavy metal rhythm. The voice remains in my head.

- Where has this music been all my life?

Honest question where? This is amazing.

- A Breath of Fresh Mongolian Air

It's new and refreshing but it contains those motifs and sounds you'd expect from Mongolian folk music. It's Mongolian folk metal, and if the simple utterance of that phrase doesn't make you harder than a rock I don't know what will.

- Brilliant

As a long time fan of both throat singing and heavy musics, this record is absolutely astonishing. The Hu’s approach to melding the sounds of their heritage with those of modernity is exciting, and a not insignificant amount of praise is due to the producer that brought these musicians together. I look forward to seeing iterations of these songs live, and excitedly await their next recording. HU! HU! HU! HU! HU! HU! HU! HU! HU! HU!

- Outstanding Debut

Like most people who’ve been following these guys for the last year or so I was really stoked about their first album release, and man, did they deliver! There’s a wide range of work here, both thematically and musically, from the stomper ‘Shoog Shoog’- an invocation of the ancient Mongolian guardian spirits- to the more traditional but still driving ‘Shireg Shireg’. Every cut carries the same fresh energy as their viral hits, and expands into new, wholly original territory. My favorite album of the year so far.

- Rronster

Saw them live at Aftershock 2019. I’m now a huge fan

- F*** ING WARRIOR BADASSERY!!!!!!!

Awesome to the f’in A

- True Power and Dramatic Beauty

Calming, yet powerful. Buy it.

- Something new!!!

I am a fan of new and different things! I love creativity and it’s amazing to see what people do with it. This is sooo different than many things I’ve heard and I admire when there’s a mixture between traditional and modern instruments in music (mostly when it’s rock lol). I love music from around the world because it gives me a different sort of vibe and sense of the world and this is one of those albums that does that for me! 🤘

- Fantastic

Mongolian folk metal is something I didn’t know I needed until these guys came along. Excellent!

- Incredibly catchy

Heard them for the first time in Jedi Fallen Order, then just heard them again today on the radio. Their sound is super catchy and frankly just intriguing. 10/10 would recommend.

- Metal?

This isn’t metal, or good. Catchy maybe but so is the flu. I don’t get it, don’t wanna get it. Sounds like heavy country music to me. IT’S DEFINITELY NOT HEAVY METAL!!!!!

- New favorite band!

I love listening to the while working out. The beat just drives you...

- Incredible and creative

Wonderful music that incorporates unique instruments and sound

- The sound is fresh

Absolutely love it. Watched the videos on YouTube to see the lyrics before I bought it. Keep it up and can’t wait to have the whole album.

- Pure Elemental Metal

The Hu understand metal at a fundamental level and do some insane original work in blending metal with traditional Mongolian sounds. Their work is so solid that it’s almost irrelevant if you even know what they’re saying, but it’s cooler when you do. Can’t wait to see what they do next.

- The best album I bought in 2020

It’s different. It’s manly. It’s great.

- Fabulous mix of traditional and modern

Every single song on this album is great. The coolness factor of the Mongolian tradition adds to the experience, and the band is tight. The only band that resembles them is Hanggai band, but they have lost the hard rocking feel that the Hu has in abundance.

- Sound of the raging Steppe -- It's coming for you!

The Hu's first album "Gureg" is a great first foray into going international with their unique high energy blend of Ethnic Mongolian music and rock/metal. I highly reccomend this band to anyone wanting a break from the standard western fare. Gureg is rich with historical context and emotion. It is a must to check out. Hu = Hunnu = human

- Very good

This is the best album I’ve heard in a long time. A good mix of modern instruments and traditional Mongolian instruments.

- Cool Stuff

Probably the band and album of the year, very innovative.

- One of a kind!!! Mongolian heavy metal band!!!

Best thing since sliced bread! Four hits from one album?!

- Start with Wolf Totem

Play Wolf Totem loud! Nice to hear something new and originally Sounding! The Hu is a Mongolian heavy metal band With traditional Mongolian instrumentation, including the Morin khuur, and Mongolian throat singing. Very cool stuff, I’m very interested to hear more!

- Epic!

Mongolians rock! Want to see them live!!

- The Hu are awesome

Fantastic heavy rock with an Eastern slant. Makes me want to ride my motorcycle through Mongolia with the stereo blasting!!!! Great originality, wish I could speak Mongolian I fact I just might pick up a little lingo from the fantastic rock!!!

- Music to hear the lamentations of the women by

Love the mix of eastern folk music and heavy metal, it has a vibe of open stepp and unwashed metallers. Recommended for crushing your enemies and driving them before you either on a steed with four legs or two wheels

- The future of music

I love this album. I think Mongolian rock is the future, the synthesis of traditional instruments, throat singing and a western rock groove is just what the world needs now. More please.

- Incredible

Love this album , very original, I wouldn’t say is heavy metal even if it is heavy metal , for me is more like a sort of folk great Mongolian’s music but what ever sort of music this is I love it , well done guys you are doing something great and different.. remind be a bit a folk German band Corvus Corax .

- Out Of this World

This is something very new to me and I like it. It also sounds very Aboriginal with the voice sounding like a didgeridoo. That aside the album is brilliant and a new slant on Rock, Mongolian style.
