Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel is the twelfth studio album by American pop and R&B singer Mariah Carey. It was released on September 29 through Island Records in the U.S. and November 23, 2009 with Mercury Records in the UK. The album was predominately produced and written by Carey, Christopher "Tricky" Stewart and Terius "The-Dream" Nash. Upon release the album was well-received by critics who awarded it 69/100, higher ratings than her two previous efforts. The album peaked at #3 in the U.S. and has been certified Gold by the RIAA for shipments of 500,000 copies.

- Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel

This was her best album of the 2000s. Also her most matured album. Although I have to admit that some of the production does sound a bit cheap and very 2009, all in all it’s consistent. The album was largely overshadowed with her beef with Eminem at the time so that could possibly be a reason for the somewhat lack of promotion for the album.

- Songwriting and production at its best

I truly stand by the fact that this is one of Mariah Carey’s best albums, it is Vögele diverse, and a lot of different sounds in tones. I felt really cheated that we didn’t get the Angels advocate, or the jump smokers remix albums. Overall this album is a must listen if you’re only going to listen to about five Mariah Carey albums, because it’s totally top five

"imperfect" being the key word here... not among her best Cds (unless you listen to it after a while) but definately worth adding to your Mimi Collection because down the line - it's gonna be a Collectors Item..

This album is awesome and love the entire track list. Obsessed remixes are great. The impossible, Ribbon, HATEU, and Candy Bling are my favorites. Inseparable reminds me of so many things in my life and my high school jam. Love you Mariah Mimi babe
