So I've been off iTunes for a few months for various reasons. I log in and click "alternative" and I'm greeted with TAYLOR SWIFT. YGBFSM!!! If we've redefined alternative by putting Taylor Swift into the alternative category then I have no idea what alternative is anymore. I could have sworn Taylor Swift was POP. Apparently iTunes now has no idea what music is. I expect to find Bach in the Folk Music section and The Eagles under New Age. Maybe put Garth Brooks as Jazz.

This is not my favorite album Taylor has made, and I’m a little dissatisfied that this, along with Folklore, is explicit. But I do like the song Evermore and I enjoy Willow. If this is the type of music Taylor is going to continue doing, then I support that. Even if I don’t like them as much, I’ll never turn on Taylor. And I still think she is a lyrical genius (and I myself love to write songs on the guitar and I like to follow in her footsteps). I will forever remain her biggest fan.

This album is prolly my least favorite. I understand it is a follow up to folklore but that’s all in my opnion it does is follow the album. It’s not an exciting album. I love willow and it’s about the only catchy song. It is very easy to relax to and have a whiskey to and I do love the artwork and woodsy feel. Other then that it’s just simply boring and easy to forget about.

All the songs sound the same!!! If you skip to the middle of ANY song on this album, you won’t be able to tell which one it is. Congrats on evolving your sound and showing a different side, but we didn’t need two albums of it. Lana Del Rey wants her sound back.

I really enjoyed most songs on this album, and I fell in love with some such as “champagne problems” and “long story short” but some of the songs feel like they have too similar beats, or I don’t get it. Not criticizing her in any way at all, its just not one of my utmost favourite albums of hers!

This album is so well thought out and amazingly executed. I’ve been a fan of Taylor’s for a long time but Folklore and Evermore have really been game changers in my eyes. I prefer the album to folklore, but I don’t really like either. I’m more of a pop-Taylor fan. (I’m just generally not a fan of alternative music, and folklore being her first explicit AND alternative album kind of took me by surprise. I didn’t expect an explicit/alternative album from Taylor). Nevertheless, I respect her for making music not for anyone else but for herself, and that’s why I give it five stars. You can tell that this is really personal, and being able to come up with 2 well-selling albums amid COVID-19 (and only five months apart, too!) is a spectacular achievement and I’m really proud of Taylor. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Folklore is better. Listening to the first few tracks and my brain shifted somewhere else. Each track is like a repetitive sound, they all sounds the same. It’s boring and it’s slow. Makes me want to go to sleep. I didn’t finish listening to the whole album and probably won’t. I gave it 3 stars for incredible music writing and lyrics.

I’m not a Taylor ‘fan’ although I generally like her old music I hear on the radio. This however, and the other release of the same year Folklore, is fantastic. The sound and style is quite different from previous works, matured, reflective, soulful, and I love the narrative focus of the songs which are intriguing, engaging and sometimes heartbreaking. If TS was to produce more like this I’d definitely be keenly awaiting new releases!

Total change of direction from young Swift from her boppy one dimensional sounds to this well written and totally memorable collection of songs She does sound in places like a young Joni Mitchell (check her out young ins!!). I am a new convert to Taylor Swift’s more mellow new style since folklore. I bought this album soon after its surprise release and love it. But to then find a “deluxe version” released a month later with 2 bonus tracks just reeks of profiteering and something I did not expect of Taylor. Having to pay £2 for the 2 extra tracks is one thing but I am old school and don’t want them appearing in a separate album on my phone or iPad. I still see albums as a single artistic work and want the new tracks to be merged with the old album but this won’t happen. Great music, very disappointing ethics.

Another boring album. Nothing that feels different or exciting. Nothing sounds different. Nothing catchy at all. I only liked one song from the last previous album which featured Bon iver but I don’t like any song on this album at all I’m sorry to say.

The story telling is really captivating and it pulls you further into the evermore arch especially with songs like Majorie, Evermore and Champagne Problems No Body No Crime deserves to be the next single. Just imagine the music video for it - a murder, cover up and pure thrill. This album definitely feels and sounds like a sister album to folklore
