Why all the complaining? Except for 4 songs that are album only, the rest of the songs off the album can be purchased individually. There is no pressure to pay $140.00 for songs in a format you don't like. Metallica is one of the most generous bands I have ever known with their unbelievable abundance of free concerts and songs available on the internet dating back over 40 years.

You might as well get what you can afford and leave it at that, honestly I don’t think I can spend the full $140 on this. My advice would be get $15-$20 worth of this album and leave it be. Respect to those who are willing to pay for it all though.

I can't believe Metallica is doing such a huge cash grab. What point is there buying a regular album with multiple live albums attached to it? It's not like each live performance sounds different from each other. I still wouldn't buy it due to the price tag, but it would make a whole lot more sense to put multiple studio albums together. I can't tell whether this or their just under 50 buck bloated nonsense cover album that includes a long list of other people doing covers of their songs is dumber. I hate saying it but these guys should just retire; they're not making anything that's particularly exciting anymore.

I purchased this album thinking it had all of their songs on it. Well shame on me for not paying attention to the songs that were actually on the album. It’s the same songs over and over, but different versions! Not worth the 140 that I paid!

If you are a Metallica fan and you were alive when this album came out, $140 for a collection of live recordings, demos and B sides is awesome. Giving a two star review because you don’t wanna spend $140 on something is ignorant. This was well crafted and put together nicely. The remaster sounds great and having the show in Moscow remastered and it’s entirety is worth the price of admission.

Metallica has an insane amount of affordable / free stuff available if that’s what you’re looking for. No one if forced to buy these fabulous sets. Nonetheless I, for one, am thankful for having the option to buy it. I’ll never forget the tremendous musical influence these guys had on me growing up. And for that, no price is too high. Metallica forever! :)

$140 for the whole thing?...there are singles, such as the drum solo, that I’ve been waiting MONTHS to purchase, and it’s album only... I’m. It spending $140 to get 1 or 2 singles...I’m exceedingly disappointed. I also expected the audio from the San Diego ‘92: Live Sh*t concert to be included (as the ‘89 Seattle audio was included in the AJFA anniversary release). I’ve been waiting months for this anniversary release...and unfortunately, I’ve been let down. The only bright spot is the Moscow concert from ‘91 is able to be purchased individually. That’s all I’m gettin from this release. Happy Birthday Black Album. 30 years.

- Was fortunate to see them live in support of this album…then waited years for new material. Looks like the trend is still going! - I enjoy the pre-production tracks. Thanks for that. - Of course the one track I was waiting months for turns out to be an “Album Only” track, the drum solo. This track was sorely missing on Binge & Purge. Yeah yeah insert joke about Lars’ drumming here but let’s just say I’m nostalgic for 90s Lars versus the more recent Lars but dude that track doesn’t justify me dropping $140 (it’s 90s Lars not mid 80s Lars even then, Dave has legit gripes about that.) - After releasing this remastered album and the ‘not really their recent album’ let’s just all agree that these guys are too tired to put any more effort into this and are now relics of the past who should officially retire.
