Only two songs are slightly good. One with Dua Lipa, and thats because they used his old song lyrics and the other with stevie wonder.

This is Elton’s best album in years. Most of the negative comments are about his “mask” and his perceived agenda, not about the music, because it doesn’t support the Big Lie they believe.

A handful of good tunes, but that's about if. If you're looking for one song, I would go with the Stevie Nicks tune.

The music is fresh!

I bought this album thinking it was going to be like a normal Elton album, I was let down by the quality. It sounds like horrible auto tune and some songs just sound poor quality not like Elton at all. I was excited for some of the artists on here as-well. It was interesting but not what I expected. Some of the artists just shouldn't be on here period horrible musicians. Like rap 🤮.

There really is not much worth listening to here. And I've been listening to Elton for decades.

I could go on about every track, but I think only one will suffice to prove its worth. When Elton et. al. can collaborate on a cover of a Metallica song, and plays Metallica better than Metallica, I have to bow to the Greatest Musician of our lives!!!

If you want to hear Elton play & sing over bad 2020's fake sounding, electronic, non-human music you'll have lots to choose from here. Please someone tell every pseudo musician out there that Auto-Tune vocals whether sung or rapped, is not creative nor exciting and most importantly sounds terrible.

You can always tell an aging artist on the way down. They resort to an album with younger (less talented in most cases) artists. Maybe after that they try standards or covers. Is that next for Elton? Then again, when was the last good original Elton John album?

It's a really surprising album with collaborations that, on the surface, shouldn't work. But wow, there are some really good tracks on this album. It's certainly better than his previous solo album effort.

Elton has been making music and writing lyrics for many years, he is a legendary artist and I can’t wait to see him next year on his farewell goodbye yellow brick road tour. Negative reviews are full of it

Elton John has been one of my favorite artists since the 1970’s and this is the first album I couldn’t get into. I don’t know how it made number one in the UK. It came across as weak and forced with a lot of the duets. I so wanted to love this album, but I just couldn’t. I give it a three for the effort of finding so many collaborators.

Most of the 1 star reviews aren’t even legit because you can tell they didn’t even listen to the album. They just came here to hate on Elton because they don’t like that he’s a Liberal. So they should not only be ignored but removed. Anyway this is a really Decent album with an interesting mix of old school and new artist collaborations and definitely worth checking out.

Bland. I love Elton, but this isn't worth a second listen.

Elton and friends making some pretty interesting tunes. Mostly a feel good album with hip hop, rap, rock, soul and ballads. Not a boring song in the bunch.

You want this to sound better. It really wants to be a masterpiece but it is not at all. The only track worth anything is The Stevie Wonder track. The “Stolen Car” track is just terrible. He sings so loud over Stevie Nicks it tears down her vocals, which is fine because she doesn’t sound right anyway. This album is a pass.

The songs were a mix of bad and decent but I still support Elton john.

I enjoyed the collaboration/mix of Dua Lipa and Elton John. I figured the rest of the album would be just as good, but man was I wrong. Listening to Elton John screech along side or over other artists for an hour makes me want to stab out my eardrums. I enjoy all of Elton’s previous albums, but he sounds terrible in this. Calling it signing is a serious insult to anyone singing even at average skill level. Glad I listened through streaming to decide if I wanted to buy this.

It's too bad we can't leave comments for the comments. But hey. Good thing about the internet is anyone can puke up their stupidity for others to read.

I have been listening to Elton John ever since Greatest Hits was released in 1974 and I consider him my favourite male artist. This said, concerning this particular album, I find that some of the songs are very good, even brilliant (such as The Finish Line, After All, and Simple Things), while others could have been left out (such as Pink Phantom). Some songs are straight covers that offer little to nothing new in terms of interpretation (such as Nothing Else Matters and It's a Sin) and leave you wondering why they even bothered doing them (although I must admit I quite like Miley Cyrus' vocal on the former). But must songs are ... acceptable and relatively pleasant to listen to. However, one thing that permeates nearly every song is Elton's inability to keep up with most of the other artists vocally. But this is natural: the quality of your singing voice degrades as you get older, and Elton is no exception. What I find most tiresome is the forced/fake vibrato he insists on doing when he sings. On a positive note, his singing makes the others shine by comparison. So, do I recommend this album? Nnnnyes, I suppose I do. Any serious Elton fan will want to see what he’s been up to. It’s nice to see him collaborate with current and upcoming artists … even if it feels a bit desperate.

I’m loving it, especially Cold Heart, Learn to Fly, and After All.

Each song transitions to a feeling that I needed to explore such as pride, sadness or even joy. The entire album is like weighted blanket or soft warm soup that bring you comfort you didn’t know you need

The title says it all. Just bad. Cold heart is horrible and that’s my favourite genre. And I like a lotta genres. Everyone says Elton is the best but he is the opposite. Everyone here with a 1 star is the best. Everyone with 5 stars have nothing better to do in lockdown. 0/10

Literally doing what he accused Madonna of doing - clinging to younger artists in a desperate attempt to maintain relevancy.

Five stars for not resting on the laurels of past success and risking someome new with young and established artists. Not a traditional Elton John sounding album. My favouriates are Finishing Line, After All and E-Ticket, Orbit - all worthy of being single hit records. (Much stonger than "Duets from 1993).

Good old Elton trying something differerent really enjoyed the album

has become one those artist that adults who were to young to have grown up listening to claim to be a fan of as part of some kind of nostalgic indulgence, his heyday is long behind him and that was neck deep in gimmickry and cheesy song writing. The fact some of his songs swamped airplay a few decades ago wasn’t a measure of his craft but marketing and that philosophy has gone on to shape some of the building blocks for modern music marketing. If people knew the truth about EJ i’m not sure they would be so eager to saddle up to him. File under Fleetwood Mac - overrated rubbish for the simpering masses.

This is very hit and miss, I like the Stevie Nicks track but the others are middling, a bit to generic pop for me. I really don't know what to make of this. This is the first Elton album in 40 years I haven't bought.

As soon as I found out Elton was bringing out an album I was so excited, however when I saw it was a collaboration album I was a bit weary of the whole concept. Nether the less I pre ordered it, after a few tracks being released early it raised the bar high. Now it’s been released it’s exceeded expectations, even the Young Thug Nicki Minaj track (which was my biggest concern) is amazing. Special mentions to Stolen Car, After All, E-ticket and Finish Line ❤️

Disappointed to find Elton only appears sporadically on a handful of tracks, and then often with some electronically distorted voice. Some great pairings - Stevie Nix, Stevie Wonder, but the rest is ordinary at best. As for that awful rapper at track 2, and Charlie Puth howling away, forget it!!

Review, meaning the contents of the album, not a personal character assassination or having a dig about the the artist on such a personal level, which has no relevance to reviewing the contents of the album, or any political comments. Should have read the reviews before buying. I have liked Elton all my life - long time! - This is the worst album I have heard, sorry Elton - the voice has gone and the only good track is with Duo Lepa - when I think his "old" voice is used anyway. I would suggest not buying this album, dont like most of the duets either!

When you become that unpassionate about what you do that instead of retiring, get younger artists to sing for him just to cash in and try to stay relevant.

This is the first Elton Album since 1979’s “Victim of Love” I don’t like in fact it’s the first since that I find so awful I don’t have it on my playlists. The only track I do play is “Cold Heart” with Dua Lipa and that is not really new material it’s a mash up of “Sacrifice” and “Rocket Man”. Sorry Elton I still love you but this album is a big NO from me.

I really dig most of the tunes here, it has a very good run from pink phantom—-> one of me, very good selection most of the time. After all leads into chosen family really well, the first tunes great, the last 3 tunes close it off really well. Problems are there in chosen family, could’ve used some live drums in the final chorus, also maybe always love you and e ticket could’ve been cut and it would be a bit better for me but they are still pretty fun. Solid 7/10 though, constant lively and energetic presence from Elton and he tries some new sounds that he hasn’t before tried so all in all a very good album.
