slodown - KICKASSThese beats are the sickest.
DanF0rte - FantasticI've been waiting to find a new band, no.... a new sound in a day and age where everything is karbon copies of the last crap album that was put out, here it is..... These guys are awesome, great melody, beats, tunes and all done with real instuments, they have an ill drummer and keyboardists and a bass player...... sound like some of gorillaz w/o vocals or REALLY old beastie boys tracks that where psycedelic and rocked!!! Buy this album for something new and an escape from all the dead hip hop taking over the world......
Lee337 - You can't get away from these beats!Put this recording on your list of 'things that will get stuck in my head' because these beats can't be stopped... and you won't want them to.
Doctor Dollars - <3ly AllenI could've sworn I heard the track Lovely Allen in the N64 game Pokémon Snap... anyway good stuff :D
MusicaLaMusica - Sheer BrillianceUnique, unmissable....delightful!!!!
Jagamar - Super into it!My 9-year-old son and I traveled from Ohio to Red Rocks to see them (and a few other groups) play based off the sound of this album. We got over the name calling them Holy "F", and even though neither of us really knew the structure of their work being analog, we could appreciate this as a great album. Lovely Allen is the superstar of the disk, but we also highly recommend Safari. Seeing them live is a totally different experience. They try to capture that in Super Inuit (Live), but it just falls a little short. That being said, I still have no problem giving this 5 stars. We look forward to some well polished work from them in the future.
nostalgists - OKI thought that this album was just OK. I mean honestly the music is vulgar and the band name is simply horrible! I'm sorry to say but this album is not very high quality.
tealbird - holy expletiveWorth every penny, and more. Monster beats, live-feeling and generally addictive. Not to be missed.
Cliff Roebuck - Simply Amazing!I discovered this band while digging up indie/underground music one night and got stuck on them and couldn't leave their page. I seriously tried to proceed to my other findings but couldn't bring myself to hit the 'stop' button! Holy F*** creates music that is intriguiging, experimental, hooks that won't let you go, and keep you listening for more! A part of me wishes there was some lyrical content but their music stands alone just fine without it. I have yet to buy the album but I do intend to very soon! Amazing group of guys!
Essentialism - BoringBoring "electronica" with an obscene name. How scandalous.
unfold - Great Band and an amazing album from beginning to the endThis band is absolutely great. Their mix of awesome riffs with synth and delay along with driving beats and bass line make this band a must have in your collections. I cant say enough good things about this album. THis is the kind of album that you just have to play over and over because it just makes sense cosmically to be listening to it....
eeeeeeeooooooo - Duh?The best thing about this listing is that iTunes censors the name of the album, but not the name of the band.
fogsnob - With Get You Dancing, Will Get Youif you like bands like !!!, M83 and Mouse On Mars, but are sick of straight elecro sounding pop, Holy F*ck's debut is something that you might like. i saw them open up for U.N.K.L.E in NYC recently and they kind of blew them off the stage. really strong album.
Jiggum - The James Brown of technoThese guys don't give a Holy F**k about anything but cranking out sick, cutting edge beats with a table full of electronics that no one else uses anymore. Original and filled with talent, these guys are taking electronics to new levels.
Mr. Awesome14 - GayGay gay gay gay, this is some hardcore flaming gay music
shavemyyeti - one of my favoritesthese guys are unbelievable they have some of the most catchy beats. I saw them live at lollapalooza this year and i have to say it was one of the top three shows in my opinion. they put on a great show if you get the chance see them live!
PhatRabb1t - Wow. Simply Awesome.I heard Holy F**k for the first time a couple weeks ago. I went to the M.I.A. concert in Chicago, IL and Holy F**k opened up for her. And wow, these guys put on an awesome live performance. They had a bassist, a drummer, and keyboardists. The fact that the drums and bass were live music made it that much better. Their songs definitely get stuck in your head easily. For me, each song has a certain point where I think to myself, "Holy f**K!" Their music takes you many places during one song.
The Dubmaster - Ridiculously goodIt hit me with the first listen - this sounds really original! Then I thought - why the heck isn't anyone else doing this, it sounds so good? Play live drums and bass (ditch the programmed beats) and actually play analog synths (ditch the sequencer). It sounds like Can meets early NIN with a hint of The Secret Machines or Neu. Really really good. I'd love to see them live after all the rave reviews. I loved the first album too.
Spaghetty - Sick albumWorks as background noise, or something to throw on when you wanna hear some genuinally good music. Lovely Allen is the obvious standout, but the rest is still some excellent material.
CitizenInsane27 - Literally. Holy (well you know). This is one of the best uber-intense indie rock/electronic/half ambient post-rockish new groups to come out.
This is (obvioiusly) not a very large genre.
Lush guitars and estranged keyboards are seamlessly integrated with a backbone beat that will not only make you tap your feet, but likely could make you just out-right headbang right in your living room. Instead of following most electronic rules, the drums are mainly live, but at times there is an electronic sound effect to go along, just to give more punch to this (crazy) musical fistfight. Tie that with some crazy out of sync in key yelping and you got yourself one heck of a listen. If you are into good rhythm music, you will probably enjoy this album to the fullest. Songs like Lovely Allen and Royal Gregory are for those who like more post-rock style electronic, slower paced but more solid as contemporary writing goes. Also, songs like The Pulse and the ever-entertaining Safari sound like music you would hear in a video game arcade or a good nightclub, they fit the techno bill, but in a much more interesting way.
This album is fantastic. Download it and dream like a robot for once.
